Antiques On Elm

Awesome selection of merchandise and some great deals always awaiting here.
It is a multi-​dealer shop, so expect some sections to look like a bomb went off.

Large shop, lots of really cool stuff, ranging from a cheap impulse buy to an expensive collectible.
Staff was friendly, but not overly so. They let me browse in peace.
Didn’t end up buying anything, but I have my eye on a bench there when I get some more cash!

This is a large, multi-​dealer shop with a wide variety of stuff — furniture, postcards, clothing, jewelry, and all the random other things you find in antique shops. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Like any multi-​dealer shop, pricing varies from dealer to dealer. Some are fair, some are ridiculously optimistic about what they think people will pay.
I was there for the first time yesterday and found some wonderful compacts. My personal taste leans toward 1940s and ‘50s kitchenware and women’s accessories, and there was plenty here to capture my interest, including some wonderful Beautyware flour and sugar canisters, a lovely chrome cake plate, and a Kewpie doll powder shaker for my friend Lisa.
I will DEFINITELY return to this shop.

Have had multiple situations where I have gone into the store with my wife and son and been ignored, treated poorly, or worst of all followed around as though I was a thief.
I will never return after the most recent trip where my son and I went in to buy himself something with his own money. The staff treated him poorly and even suggested he not be in the store. To be clear, he was not running, bothering anyone or even touching anything. They told me he was just young.

My new favorite antique shop in NH!
We stopped in here looking for gold rings, and found tons of things we never even knew we needed. Awesome old frames, vintage soda bottles of all prices, shapes, and sizes, great folk art for reasonable prices ($ 45 for a hand-​stitched map of the state), jewelry, vases, art, signs, etc. I got stuck in front of the postcard stall and ended up with $ 28 of postcards of my hometown and college, including my first year dorm — a treasure I never expected to find! My sister got griffin-​shaped salt and pepper shakers for $ 9.
The prices are competitive and reasonable, the wares are diverse and impressive, the store is easy to navigate and to get lost in for ten minutes or three hours. Most of all, the ladies who own the shop were incredibly friendly and helpful, taking the time to help us find what we needed and marveling at our discoveries with us. This is definitely going to be a staple of future trips home to NH!
There’s tons of parking nearby — whether you park on the street, in the bank lot after hours, or even at Market Basket across the street if you’re willing to risk a ticket/​go in and buy a soda beforehand so you can be a paying customer.
PS: paying by credit card sometimes leads to less of a discount, so bring cash if you can!

The place is big with a good amount of consigners– some messy, some very organized and some well laid out.
Prices were a bit high. Yeah they were. I would return to check out again but I would not go out of my way to come here.
I really liked the specialty booths– need more of them.
I came with 4 friends and out of of all of us, we all did not find any treasures.

We heard about this new group shop and decided to pay a first visit.
I’m glad we did!
After an hour of perusing, we left with an armload of fun stuff!
Some items we purchased…
an old painted fly rod rack
a mid-​century modern aluminum smoking pipe (in box)
a box of 45rpm records
a 1940’s — 1950’s New Hampshire pennant flag
some nice turn of the century bird prints
Since that visit, we’ve made a few more over a couple of months
They aren’t heavy on true Antiques. But if you’re decorating a 20^th Century home, i think you’ll find plenty to look at.
We’ve been relatively happy with the dealer pricing. Mostly on the fair side.
Only a few (very minor gripes)
— Parking in downtown ManchVegas can be a hassle if there aren’t any in the lot
— turnover seems average. would love to see dealers keeping things fresh

You cant ask for a better antique shop! Not only are the prices the best in the area, but the selection is great and always changing (its a group shop). The best part as to be the extremely friendly and helpful staff. I make a habit of traveling to different antique shops all over New England and I have yet to find any that have a staff that compares to Antiques on Elm’s. The vintage/​antique jewelry selection is fantastic, as is décor and furniture. Youll find everything from mid-​century modern to Victorian. I highly recommend Antiques on Elm!

Manchester is getting to be a destination spot for antiques again. I just checked out a brand new shop on lower Elm St and they had great stuff. It looked like they had 50+ dealers in the shop and I got some great deals. Definitely an eclectic mix of a little of everything. I found one booth that the person was selling retro clothing such as old bowling shirts, authentic Hawaiian shirts, beautiful period women’s clothes, and other 50s & 60s stuff. I will definitely make it a stop when going thru Manchester from now on.

I saw a blip somewhere about a new antique group shop on lower Elm Street (across from the new Market Basket), and being an antiques junkie, I had to check it out. I went one afternoon recently when in the area. It’s a big, clean, well laid out operation with nice carpeting to walk on. As a group shop, it’s divided into different stalls that people rent. There’s an excellent mix of different things, and the prices seemed reasonable. I had a quick chat with three people that were working there — Tom, Kim, and Anita. After I had strolled through the place, Tom asked if I was looking for anything special, which I appreciated. They were quite friendly and not overbearing. This is a great addition to the downtown makeover, and if you are into antiques at all, I suggest you check it out!
