Consignment Diva

My experience with this store has been terrible. One star is too high a rating. My first impression was a «friendly» staff of 2. It became clear very quickly that friendly does not equal business sense. With every shopping visit, boxes of clothing were always sitting in the middle of the store. Talk about a hazard, this was ridiculous. My husband warned me something didn’t seem right. They appeared extremely disorganized for a business. He was absolutely correct.
14 months ago I brought 3 large plastic totes full of great clothing for consignment. I heard absolutely nothing from them. They had all my information. Finally in Sept I called to question the status of my account. My immediate suspicion was I was getting the run around. The owner agreed I had waited too long and she would send me a check. Several weeks later and after another phone call to the store, my check arrived. $ 20. Really? 60% of sales equal $ 20? After this experience, I will never return. I urge everyone reading this to look elsewhere if they are looking to consign. It was an awful experience with (in my opinion) a dishonest business. I am reporting them to the Better Business Bureau and the Attorney General. I hope to spare others from experiencing the same. BEWARE. Don’t be fooled by their friendly demeanor.
