Small museum but very well done. Need to improve the exterior signage a bit particularly because the museum is tucked in a much larger building. We are history buffs so we found it quite interesting.

It is small, but FILLED with historical information about Manchester. I was in there for about one and a half hours! The desk clerk was a student, and she was nice and helpful. She even gave me a suggestion for a place to have lunch in on my way out.

Small, but filled with ton’s of information of Manchester’s yesteryear. I wouldn’t recommend this for young kids as there’s not many items to keep kids interested. I definitely found it to be an interesting few hours. What an exceptional job of telling the stories of the city and it’s culture, especially in terms of the textile industry and how it created the city itself. They also have a small gift shop filled with many items including historical books on the city and state. It was tricky to find as everything directs you to the SEE science center and dinosaur exhibit on another floor. You walk in on floor 2. The millyard museum is downstairs on the 1st floor. It’s a great place for anyone looking to learn more about the history of the city or New England mills in general.
