The place is too small and a little crowded but it is friendly. They need to work on their coffee. I got a plain coffee, which for me is the best way to judge a coffee shop and I could see straight through the cup. I did not rate lower because I have not had their expresso drinks and they are probably catering to local taste on the poured coffee.

I gave Cappuccino on Collins (CoC) a higher rating based on a visit from a couple of years ago. Today, I attempted to visit CoC again. Based on their Website, they were supposed to open at 6:00 am (it’s a Monday). I was there at 6:00 but they weren’t open, however a handwritten sign on the door claimed they opened at 6:15 instead. I returned at 6:15 and waited until 6:25 — they still weren’t open and the entire place was dark. Not being open when advertised is one of my biggest pet peeves. I won’t return.

We love this place for the music jams on Saturday mornings. Coffee and tea are good and also very inexpensive. This is not a Starbucks experience. Everyone knows each other or at least treats you that way. Very friendly and informal. We’re regulars now. Could have a better snack selection.
