One word: awesome! We stopped in on a whim due to a sign in the window for «turducken,» which we were dying to try for Thanksgiving. They made us a breast, stuffed with Cajun stuffing. The whole family loved it. Thank you so much!!!

I can’t say enough about how helpful, kind and knowledgeable A&F is. To boot, their ingredients are high quality. From day one, we’ve made friends with the staff who are always ready with recommendations and able to assist us when we say things like «Well, I’d like something good» — somehow figuring out exactly what we’d love to be eating at that moment. We’ve now become used to calling orders ahead so we don’t need to wait on line, though we then miss out on some good conversations.

I have been coming to this place for a few years now and being a guy who loves to cook and loves good quality meats this place was a complete match. They staff is great and goes out of they way to be helpful and friendly. Everyone knows a lot about their craft and products and are always willing to help with cooking techniques. I have recommended this place to all my friends and family that live in the area and highly recommend any who hasn’t tried it to go and see it for yourself. You won’t be disappointed.

If you are looking for the highest quality meats on Long Island, visit A & F Meat Market in Manhasset. The steaks we got were perfectly aged and melted in your mouth after grilling. The store also carries a large variety of salads and other freshly prepared dishes. Make sure you try the iced coffee machine. Looked like a beer tap, but I enjoyed the smooth ice cold brew while I was being waited on. I look forward to my next BBQ.

We moved to Manhasset a year ago from NYC and we were thrilled to find A&F. Everything here is top notch and high-​quality. The service is always great and you feel treated like family. Our parents saw how amazing everything is and they now drive all the way from Cold Spring Harbor to shop here. Hands down the best!

These guys are experts!!! Thought it was going to be hard to find a butcher in Manhasset who knew what we needed for our Jamaican cuisine, but they were absolutely on point with the right choice meats and suggestions to enhance our dishes. Lighthearted and fun guys to be around, great experience, I think we’ve found our favorite butcher!

Great meat and customer service. What a butcher should be.
Pre-​made burgers are great, hotdogs are the best I have ever tasted, and the General Tso’s chicken is always a hit.
Highly recommend if you are having a BBQ.

I just purchased a brisket for $ 85– they then charged me $ 10 additional to cut it, a courtesy extended for free by every other butcher. When questioned I was told that it takes time away from «the regulars». When I brought my meat back in I was told I am not part of the same of the «same ethnic group» as the butcher.
I wonder, are «regulars» another word for non-​Jewish?
BTW, I have purchased briskets and many other cuts of meat from them before– I guess being Jewish also makes me invisible!!!

I stopped by today for the first time. Besides having the best hamburgers around these guys were totally customer focused. Everybody was super helpful and friendly. They have such passion and pride in what they do. I will definitely shop here again.

The service is impeccable. Light hearted and hard working, Kenny and his crew are a pleasure. Great selection of prime meats and ready prepared items many notches above regular butcher shop gourmet joints. Parking tough but it’s worth the trip. Must tries: House marinated skirt steaks and homemade chicken patties with parmesan!!!

I’ve driven past this place many times but never had an occasion to stop in until recently, after my go-​to store didn’t have rack of lamb. It was my fiancé’s birthday dinner request and I had tried a few stores with no luck. When I got to AF, I was greeted with a smile and before I knew it one of the guys came out of the fridge carrying a WHOLE LAMB. Fresh as can be! He told me all about where the lamb came from (Idaho) and the differences between American and New Zealand lamb. After getting a sense of my recipe, he gave me his best estimate of how much I should get and let me know the price. With my go-​ahead, he cut & frenched a beautiful rack of lamb for me. All the while, the crew was laughing, drinking heinekens, and telling stories and jokes. I felt like a friend by the time I left! The meat was delicious and made for a memorable meal. I will continue to buy most of my meat at the grocery store closer to my house, but for a more special meal I would definitely return!

Stopped in for the first time today.
I was pleased to say the Least. I was warmly welcomed to the store. I looked around inspecting the store. I found it to be clean and kept in a very sharp appearence. The salads in the case looked fresh and ready to be enjoyed. I asked them for a 2 inch sirlion and they did not disapoint. It was trimed properly and looked amazing. I did make one mistake. I ordered 6 of the Mushrooms stuffed with Sausage. I am sitting here after having eaten them craving more. I really did order to few. A shame there are none left for the rest of the family.
This is coming from a guy whos Grandfather was a butcher. I know great meat from a great butcher shop.
If you want the experience of an old time butcher and qualtiy cuts of meat (and Stuffed Mushrooms.). This is the place you need to be.

I shopped here for the first time yesterday. A snow storm was impending and I happened to be in Manhasset. I live in the neighboring town. What a special treat! I local old fashioned style butcher with delicious prepared foods. Every thing I bought was delicious and top quality. From the Chicken Pot Pie, to the potato croquettes, flank steak, jerk chicken and buffalo wings. I will certainly be back! Very nice charming guys who helped me.

I always support local when I can, and these guys are the reason. Friendly, caring, and top quality. I get my tenderloins here and my family thinks I’m a chef, when really it’s the quality of the meat. Sometimes I’m not sure what I need, I just tell them what recipe I’m cooking for how many people, and they’ll put together the right cuts. One time I mis-​ordered too much meat, they caught it and corrected it. Michelle is a trained chef, so it’s easy to get all the help I need there. The veggies are fresh, and they carry most of the basic staples, so it’s usually a great stop.

Excellent meats with a ton of selection. The quality of meats is top notch and the meals they sell here are great. I loved the baked ziti and the roasted duck. They know exactly how to cook things to perfection. Plus the wait time is never too long. I just wish it was easier to find parking in the area.

I love everything about this place– presentation, service, and proucts. Don’t miss out on the pork fillet mignon, chicken patties and fresh, thick-​cut bacon (!!!). The butchers and sales people are incredibly sweet and helpful, and the whole experience of shopping there is really like taking a step back in time. Not to be missed.

Don’t waste your money here. I was planning to make a turducken for my family for xmas, and so I ordered the turkey, duck, and chicken from A & F. I asked them to debone the birds for me and was assured they knew exactly how to prepare the meats for a «traditional turducken.» Well, when I opened up the turkey on xmas morning, I found the bird in three distinct pieces (drumstick and thigh, drumstick and thigh, and breasts). A turducken, of course, requires the turkey to be in one piece.
If that weren’t bad enough, A & F then refused to take responsibility for the screw-​up. When I told them about the state of my turkey, they refused to believe they had butchered the bird incorrectly. I was simply told that I must have made a mistake because the turkey was all in one piece. I told them that I was literally starting at three seperate pieces, and they insinuated I must have done that (the three pieces were separate and stacked on top of each other in the bag when I opened it).
This is an expensive butcher, and so I expect a little bit more from them. Try Uncle Giuseppe’s in Port Washington or the Bryant and Cooper butcher shop in Roslyn instead.
