This place is great for speciality and one-​ofs sneakers. The problem sometimes is getting that limited edition sneaker… They have an awesome sale once in a while, that the last pairs are on the floor, at a really good lowered price.

Exit 36 is located in a high-​end outdoor strip-​mall in Manhasset, NY. It was originally an Athlete’s Foot (which it still is); one day I walked in, looking for some kicks, and noticed the new alcove-​ish section to the left of the store. I stepped up into the area and was shocked to see a store of this caliber in Long Island. There aren’t many Urban Nike Accounts in LI, so this was a real treat — in fact, the only other stores in L.I. with a good selection of kicks are Extra Butter and East West Worldwide.
The staff is friendly and the store is very accommodating; the railroad-​style layout makes for easy browsing. Combined with the Athlete’s Foot, Exit 36 is definitely on the best sneaker spots for both sneakerheads and dedicated athletes.
