Specialties
We are a NY Times 2* and Newsday 3* restaurant specializing in the cuisine of Northeast Asia fused with Western influences. Our unique take on Asian cuisine, along with our pecialty cocktails and international wine list, have helped make us THE destination on Long Island.
History
Established in 2007.
After traveling extensively through Asia, owners Gillis and George Poll decided to open Toku in the Americana Manhasset. Designed by Bentel & Bentel, Toku has been an industry leader since it opened in the summer of 2007.

Gillis P.
Business Owner
Gillis Poll, and his brother George, were raised in the restaurant business, beginning with their father’s steakhouse in Sheepshead Bay. The Poll Restaurant Group began with Bryant & Cooper steakhouse in Roslyn, Majors in Woodbury and East Meadow, then expanded to Cipollini and Toku in the Americana Manhasset, Bar Frites in Wheatley Plaza, and Hendricks Tavern in Roslyn (the former George Washington Manor). Their latest project is Angelo’s in Yonkers’ Ridge Hill Center, opening spring 2015.
