Bank of America

Sara is very knowledgeable, trustable, and friendly private banker.
She has been helping me over 10 years. I had never worry about my account. Because of her I do not want to close my account at Bank of America. She is the best banker I had ever met!

Decent bank. Parking lot. 2 ATMS located inside the building. When I went there was no wait. Is a safe way to get money out of the bank … but I guess in Manhattan Beach you don’t really have to worry about getting mugged at the ATM like you do in Venice.

Came in just to get some quarters. Shouldn’t take too long right? Ended up waiting 20 minutes! Guess they ran out in the front and two ladies had to get them from the back. If it takes that long to pull it from the back they should track if they are running low. Chase down the street usually has more than one teller and is a lot faster with getting change.

I had been saving my spare change for 3+ years. At the end of each day I would take the change in my pocket and dump it into an empty protein powder container. My goal of filling this container started off as what seemed like an impossible task but soon became reality. My container was reaching critical mass with only a sliver of free space available. At the end of the day I actually weighed the container and it weighed in at 46.4 pounds.
I soon began looking for places besides Coinstar where I would be charged a service charge or be forced to purchase a gift card that I would use or even worse having to separate each denomination and roll them in paper sleeves circa 1970.
I began texting some friends to see if their bank offered ‘free’ coin sorting, low and behold Bank of America did just that. My dear friend went to the bank and picked up several plastic coin bags for me. I filled said bags up and set up a date to meet my friend at the Bank.
I arrived on a nice day in Manhattan Beach and was a little worried about finding parking for said bank but to my surprise this branch had a dedicated parking lot with ample space. This bank and parking lot is located in a heavily trafficked area due to the number of restaurants and shops in the area. Therefore this parking lot is monitored by a Security Guard who will have your vehicle towed if you use this lot for anything other than visiting the bank.
My friend arrived minutes later and we walked into the bank to find no line and quite a surprise no bulletproof partition separating the customers from the tellers which I thought was nice. The employee who helped us was extremely helpful, explained the process, filled out the appropriate paperwork and provided us with a receipt for the coins bags in which we turned in.
We were quoted 7 – 10 business days for processing and once again advised that there would be no ‘service charge’ for processing the coins.
After I turned the coins in I had guesses from family and coworkers of anywhere between $ 330 up to well over $ 1,000. The coins were processed in 6 days for a total of $ 668.78, all of which is going into my vacation fund, now the journey will start again.
If you are looking to cash in your coins make sure you have a good friend with a Bank of America savings account=)

I went here for a deposit. For starters, this place does not have a drive thru ATM. Secondly the ATMS are crap. I deposited $ 300 in 50’s and 20’s. The ATM gave me 2 20’s back and told me that the bills were not accepted. I re-​entered these bills again. As soon as I did, the transaction automatically cancelled and my ATM card was returned to me. I re-​entered my card to check my balance to see if the $ 300 was deposited. Turns out, it wasn’t! I just lost $ 300 and am not on the phone with BofA. So much for ATM’s making things faster, this is going take me a good half hour to deal with this crap. I am really considering switching banks.

I only went in here to do a deposit.
I go back and forth on the new ATMs… I like the fact that I don’t have to deal with an envelope anymore, but am not sure that it really saves me any time.
The ATMs take a pretty healthy amount of time to process the checks that are inserted there. and I can definitely see someone getting irritated cuz someone is doing a big fat deposit and needs to ok them.
This BofA was also interesting in that I didn’t see the ATM’s outside, so you have to wait till the bank opens to use them? doesn’t that sorta defeat the purpose of having an ATM?
