Asuka did an awesome job on my hair and my son’s. Great style and hospitality. We have been going to Bardot since it first opened. Everyone is always so welcoming. Thank you for providing great customer service!

My family hairdresser passed away after around 20+ years of service to my family. And everybody knows that a hairdresser is basically like family. Not only are they a friend, but they are also a confidant and therapist. It was really hard losing the woman who gave me my first haircut and was always ready to experiment, but I knew I had to find another hairdresser and fast.
It took me almost a year to find Asuka, and I’m really grateful I did! I have struggled with my thick hair my whole life and have tried everything to tame it. Asuka gave me a great haircut and Brasilian Blowout to help me tame my locks. Other hairdressers I have tried did not give me as great of results as she did.
Here are some other great experiences my family has had with her so far:
SHE DOES GREAT MEN’S HAIRCUTS. My dad had been getting his haircut by someone who obviously did not know how to cut his hair properly for quite some time, because after getting his hair cut by Asuka he looked both younger, fresher, and more professional. Asuka also did a haircut on my younger brother … and we all know how finicky teenage boys are with their hair. She did a great job giving him a modern look without making his sides TOO short, like other hairdressers had been doing.
SHE TOOK ME BLUE. I had been wanting to dip dye my hair forever and I finally decided that for my 20^th birthday, I would gift myself a blue dip dye. Getting coloring can be a real pain because you have to sit in the chair so long … but Asuka is funny, has great stories, and a great personality. Time really flew with her. Also, she gave me a great consolation and actually gave me something better than I was looking for. She also curbed my expectations instead of doing false promises, and I ended up happier than ever.
SHE IS GREAT AT SUGGESTING PRODUCTS. They have a large line of products here and thanks to Asuka I have discovered the magical wonders of dry shampoo.
All in all, I feel like I’ve found my new hairdresser. Great central location and incredibly clean salon. All of the stylists here have great style, are clean, and are really nice and talented.

I wanted to wait a couple months after I got my hair done to write a review to discuss how it held up. I got a one process color (dark brown) and a hair cut in late July. I’m 31, so I have no grays and no damage. I knew the salon being in Manhattan Beach would probably mean the services were pricey (I am a teacher, so budget is important), but I am okay with this If my cut and color will last 8 or more weeks. My service was $ 190, not including a tip, and I have medium length hair. Unfortunately, the color lasted about a month before it faded and the cut looked great for maybe the same amount of time (AND I use really good shampoo and conditioner). Right now, my hair looks fried at the ends and unhealthy, the color is now a brassy-​brown color, and it’s been just about 8 weeks since my service. I understand MB is an affluent area and women there can pay to get their hair done every 4 weeks, no problem. But I’ve gone to other salons in the DTLA area where I live, and paid maybe $ 130-​$ 140 for the same service, and it lasted as long or longer. The experience and ambiance was nice at Bardot, but I will not be returning.

I have been going to see Lisa since before she opened her own salon. In my humble but experienced opinion Bardot is the best thing to happen in downtown Manhattan Beach. Gender and/​or age don’t matter here, everyone is well taken care of. All the stylists and staff are friendly, helpful, professional and wait for it happy! No drama or tension in this shop so you’ll have to stick to your TV for that. If you’re just visiting or local and looking for a place to get your hair done please check out Bardot! Nothing in life is 100% but they make every effort to be so.

I got an «ombré» done at a different salon by another stylist and I hated what she did to my hair. I came to Bardot to fix the botched hair and absolutely loved what they did with it. She understood exactly what I wanted and made it work on my hair. I recommend this salon to anyone and everyone!

I love Bardot! Everyday is a good hair day after Lisa, the «hair guru», cuts my hair. My whole family is hooked on Lisa’s work. I think everyone should experience Lisa’s haircut/​color once in their lifetime. I promise you won’t be disappointed.

Lisa has cut my hair for years now. She’s amazing, talented, honest, and a really good person. I always know my hair will turn out great. I would ABSOLUTELY recommend her salon.

I have gotten my hair cut here twice! And let me tell you… I have NEVER had my hair done by such an amazing person… AZUKA! Probably the sweetest person ever!!! I’ve been coming to this salon for several years now and the service has ALWAYS been top notch. True it’s pricey, but it really is worth it. I live in NYC now and I, still, only get my hair styled at Bardot. Every few months, when I’m back in CA, I call Asuka. She’s cute, friendly, and knows what she’s doing. The hair washing is clean and thorough. She meticulously cuts and styles my hair with precision and pays attention to details. She never does what she thinks will look good, but instead asks for my thoughts and opinions. I love the way she blows out my hair too (favorite part)! Weeks after my cut, my hair is still looking fabulous and I am still getting compliments. Thanks, Asuka!!!

As a balding male I am very particular about who cuts my hair. I will only let the hands of Bardot’s finest Lisa Rosini work her magic on me. The Doctors said my hair wouldn’t live to see the age of 30. Well thanks to Lisa and her creative cuts I’m 32 and still getting haircuts! Thank you Lisa and thank you Bardot

I am a stylist from NY! It seems everytime my hair is dried from to much harsh bleach-:(I run back to this amazing salon that always welcomes me back and corrects the problem! And I walk out with my hair in it’s best condition and I am so happy to recommend them. Today I had an appointment with Lisa the owner. (I needed corrective color again and a new look)! She change my look– corrected the color and made me feel so comfortable! I only have one question? Why did I ever leave this salon!’ I am back And will never go anywhere else! My girls! I have been going to Lisa for about 5 or so years and she is just fantastic. Lately my schedule has been hectic so I’ve only been able to give a few days notice and so I’ve been seeing Asuka who is ALSO AMAZING! They are all so sweet, knowledgeable and honestly, you’ll walk out feeling like a rockstar. I trust them and them only for my Brazilians and I’m driving all the way from Beverly Hills.

I love this place! Everyone is very welcoming as you enter the salon. My hair stylist Asuka did an amazing job on my hair. I originally wanted a really light blonde ombré. She recommended I don’t go too light on my hair since it may damage really badly. She really cared about my hair and made sure I was okay with the length she was cutting and how far my ombré went. My hair is really dark so going blonde on the tips would have damaged my hair very badly. I felt like such a princess being there. They offer you something to drink, there’s plenty of magazines to keep you entertained as you wait for your hair to do its magic, and the bathroom is so cute and clean! I especially like the robe things they’re so nice not those turtle neck looking ones lol. The last step was blowing out my hair! Never had mine blown out but I quickly fell in love with it. Asuka did such a great job definitely coming back!

Melissa was recommended to me by a friend — and boy was it the best recommendation I got. I have been going gray since I was 21; and had been coloring my hair various shades of red. At this point, I wanted to lighten it up and not be chained to a stylist’s chair every 3 – 4 weeks to avoid that gray streak at my part. Melissa consulted with me, and she chose a beautiful light blonde to highlight my now white gray/​blonde hair (please note, I had stopped coloring my hair for 6 months to see what color my hair really was — a scary but worthwhile stunt). The highlights blended the white hair around my face with the gray blond at the back of my head. Friends who hadn’t seen me in a while were amazed at and a little jealous of the new «platinum blond» me! I now need to visit Melissa only once every 2 months and every time I have visited the color is consistently beautiful, my ends are no longer crunchy and I am finally happy with my hair!
I was so thrilled with Melissa and her work, that I got my husband an appointment to get his hair cut. Asuka now cuts his hair and he looks like a movie star!

I have been going to see Melissa for a couple years and she is good hair dresser for the most part, however, on a couple occasions I have gotten home and noticed hair longer in some areas and had to go back to the salon to get her to fix it.
Also, for a party the salon recommended Asuku for up do’s. Though it looked great at the salon, by the time I made it to my party 45 min later it had fallen out in numerous places and looked ridiculous in pictures.
I am looking for a new salon.

I love this place! It so cute inside and everyone makes you feel at home! Heidi is my girl! She was at another salon and when I heard she was moving here I made sure to follow her and I am so glad I did. She does such a great job on my cut and color that I won’t go to anyone else! I have even sent a few friends to her that love her too! If you don’t know who to go to here, be sure to ask for Heidi!

Asuka was my hair dresser! She is relatively new… But she’s amazing and a sweetheart.
My hair was super long and I was scared to cut it, let alone too short but Asuka cut it perfect! It was at a perfect medium long length. After the cut she blew out my hair and made me feel like a million bucks! I walked out feeling like a superstar.
She’s the person you want to do your hair! She has lots of experience and also specializes in up-do’s.
She also did my prom hair and added live orchids that I brought. Didn’t know what kind of hairstyle I wanted but she nailed it!!! Definitely recommend her. I don’t even trust anyone else with my hair anymore after my experience with her… And I’ve never had a bad hair cut experience elsewhere but I just can’t do anything to my hair anymore if it isn’t Asuka!

Karen is beyond amazing and incredibly talented. She cut my hair yesterday and it’s nothing short of perfection. She listens and really knows what she’s doing. I love hearing when a stylist continues her training; it truly shows she has a passion and love for what she does and does she ever– she just got back from a hair show in Paris! Karen is sweet, knowledgeable, confident and a top notch stylist. She truly loves her work and her salon and it really shows. I love everything about Bardot and highly recommend it.

I go to Karen at Bardot who is one of the owners… I complimented a friend on her hair and I have been going to Bardot since then and refer others all of the time. The atmosphere is very cool/​elegant with warm people who work their… Bardot carries the best products and their services are top notch. Everyone walks out of Bardot having a great hair day.

I have been going to Bardot since they opened and have had my hair cut and colored by both Lisa and Karen. I have a moderate amount of gray in brown hair, but I don’t want to cover it up, i just want to add a little blond.
I get compliments on my hair color ALL THE TIME! The most astonishing was one day after I had just worked out, my hair in a clip on top of my head, having not been washed in a few days, a woman asked me who did my hair.
I think both of these women are incredibly talented and do great work. I have never had to wait, I am always greeted with enthusiasm, and even though I can go six months without seeing them, they remember the details of my life.
If there were 10 stars I would give them to them… they’re FABULOUS!
