I’m in disbelief that this branch has such a low rating. I had to use their facilities to complete a business transaction and they were quite accommodating. The teller was able to notarize the agreements as well which was really convenient. For midday hours, the wait time was not bad at all and the place is well kept.

I like this branch. The manager B. Anderson is very friendly and helpful — as is his staff. Everyone is cheerful and I rarely have any wait at all.

El Segundo, CA
I wish to update my 4 star review. Unfortunately I was given a interest
bearing checking account and bank account that would charge fees
of $ 20/​month if the balance was less than 15,000. My dad had the same
problem and was given an account that had to have 50,000. The interest
as you know these days is almost zero so to stick customers in those
situations and leave them paying fees for long periods of time was VERY
upsetting. Citibank MB does not deserve my business.

All citi banks mostly suck. Customer service is just not what they are interested in. sick and tired of being treated like an ATM machine where they charge me for everything. I suggest going to a credit union. I like south bay credit union. If you happen to over draw there its $ 3. At Citi bank its $ 25.

Been a Citibank customer for ages and this branch has got HORRIBLE customer service. It’s been a tag between calling their 800 # when a rep doesn’t know, and that has been very often. When I leave disappointed, I kick myself for even bothering to come in

I’ve been a Citbank member for probably 10 years and gone to many of the branches over the years, this takes the cake for being the absolute worst. if you live in manhattan beach good thing there are 4 other options within the same shopping center!

Slowest service ever. I went to add an account to my existing and it took over 30 minutes to fill out some simple paperwork! I nicely explained that I was in a hurry, but he still was not able to speed up the process. It was like watching paint dry.

The Manhattan Beach branch of Citibank isn’t really a full service banking center. It’s more of a place to go when you get a hankering for wood paneling, dim lighting and plastic plants. If you need to do some banking stuff, be prepared for a response like, «Call Citibank.»
Don’t give them the satisfaction of showing fear and confusion because you’re already standing inside a Citibank branch; just walk away. Maybe try another branch.
Don’t do like I did and challenge them to provide Citibank’s phone number. The answer, «It’s on the back of your ATM card,» isn’t as satisfying as you might expect.
