History

Established in 1991.

Over the past twenty years, Steve Lazar has cultivated a team of tried and trued skilled craftsmen to assist on his projects. Under Steve’s innovative guidance, these artisans contribute their own passion and dedication to every project with Lazar Design + Build. Business Owner

A long-​time resident and builder in Manhattan Beach, California, Steve Lazar knows the importance of design innovation and beautifully crafted places. Today he is the artist behind Lazar Design + Build and has been perfecting the design and build process for the past 20 years. With no project too big or small, Steve is forging a name as a signature designer and builder in the South Bay and throughout Southern California.

As a young boy, Steve cultivated his love for design by drawing sailing yachts– in both plan and elevation views. Steve began his career carrying lumber and digging holes: experiences that taught him how to be a better designer and builder.

When not building, you can find Steve surfing and snowboarding with his 4 boys, Logan, Slater, Nolan and Zander, and his wife of 20 years, Debbie
