All of our food at Lido Di Manhattan Ristorante & Bar is exquisite. Our chefs perfectly craft each original recipe to bring out and the natural flavors of all our fresh ingredients. History

Established in 1991.

Lido Di Manhattan Ristorante & Bar first opened in 1991 and in 2004 was purchased by current owner, Lisa Hemmat. Lido Di has gone through some small changes, but has always kept it’s friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Lido Di Manhattan Ristorante & Bar recently launched a catering business which has seen huge success in the area. We look forward to adding you to our long and growing history of happy customers.

Lisa grew up in Mount Vernon, Washington, a small town just north of Seattle. At the age of fifteen Lisa began her first venture when she contracted a local venue and promoted it as a weekly underage nightclub. The club was an instant success and drew crowds from as far south as Tacoma and as far north as Vancouver, British Columbia.

In 1999, Lisa matriculated into the Entrepreneurial program at the University of Southern California, and graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2003. After graduating from USC, she purchased Lido di Manhattan, with a genuine belief in Lido’s enormous potential, she has revamped the atmosphere and livened up the restaurant with special events, happy hours, live music and wine tastings, all fueled by an energetic kitchen staff and an innovative new outlook.

For the past 10 years Lisa has been able to maintain a successful restaurant, and develop a profitable catering business and turn Lido Di into Southbay’s best wine tasting spot on Thursday evenings.

What a pleasant experience!
1. Service staff was friendly, plentiful, helpful and knowledgeable. We were there for 1 – 2 hrs on a Saturday night and even though the place was getting busier and busier, we were never rushed or pressured to finish in order to make room for another party.
2. We were a party of four with varying tastes. Our orders included salad, pasta, fish, chicken and deserts. EVERYONE was delighted with the variety, quality and quantity of their food choices.
3. Since this was the first visit there for all of us I «only» gave it a 4 rating. If this experience is repeated on our next visit, they are a lock for a 5.

I really wish I could give Lido a better review, because most of my experience was great. The restaurant itself is beautiful, with a modern, spacious layout and an incredibly lit patio area in the back. Perfect for any occasion, whether you’re on an intimidate date or having a birthday party. The staff couldn’t be nicer and my waitress was so sweet and attentive. They don’t have an ounce of snobbery. The restaurant is very conveniently located in the shopping center by Bristol Farms, so there is a good amount of parking. It can get pretty full on the weekends, but I’m always able to find a spot.
The biggest problem I have with Lido is the food. Considering that it’s an upscale restaurant and the prices are so high, I would expect much more. The menu itself is pretty extensive and looks very enticing. For dinner, I had the butternut squash ravioli and margherita flatbread with a glass of moscato. The wine was very good and priced just right at $ 8 a glass, so no complaints there. However, the ravioli was pretty disappointing. I couldn’t taste any squash and the «browned butter» sauce was really just a pool of melted butter. It was far too oily and salty. On the other hand, the flatbread lacked flavor altogether. The tomatoes did not seem ripe, the mozzarella was bland and there was far too little basil. For dessert, I had the chocolate walnut tart and a chocolate vanilla cappuccino. Again, such a disappointment. The tart was filled with whole pieces of walnut, which were too crunchy and didn’t provide a very pleasant texture. The cappuccino was too bitter and seemed to be lacking both the milk and the flavoring.
I’d love to give them another shot because the staff was so nice and accommodating, but I just can’t justify spending Manhattan Beach prices on average food. Hopefully my review will encourage them to improve the quality of their dishes.

Always a restaurant we come back to that has the best food consistently. Even if it has been a while we order the same blackened shrimp and chicken salad and it is always the same. Delicious. Such a peaceful energy here. The Italian guitarist in the background playing makes it the best date night for us. So happy to find you years ago!

Wow! This place is amazing. First time here tonight and was very impressed with the food and the service. Food was absolutely delicious. Crab with angel hair pasta, trout stuffed with crab, spinach OMG. It was all freshly prepared. Flavors excellent. Our waitress was the kindest sweetest waitress ever!!! Try it out. You won’t be disappointed.

I am on a weird special diet right now that disclosed normal ingredients like black and white pepper, dairy and many more ingredients.
She didn’t even BLINK let alone judge me for my weird special requests.
The owner — Lisa — is sweet and generous — my two most favorite qualities.

So glad I tried this little gem. Was looking for risotto and boy did I find a delicious risotto here! The place was decorated so lovely and everyone was so nice. I went before the dinner rush and had a very nice relaxing dinner all to myself. Portion and price was just right. I can’t wait to return when I am in town again!

I had lunch here recently; I tried the chicken parmesan with veggies and the zucchini «pasta» which is strings of zucchini. It was fabulous; I wasn’t able to finish it all. My companion had the eggplant sandwich and raved about it. I would definitely come back again.

I’ve been twice now and the food is pretty fantastic. The Angus Steak Salad gets my vote! It’s accompanied by a Raspberry Chipotle Dressing that is rather unexpected yet special. Great merriment and developing of flavor. They also do an awesome gluten-​free penne. Tender to the tooth and not at all resembling of gluten-​free pasta. It tastes more like the real thing.
The space is lovely — elegant and whimsical. The staff are attentive. The reason why I’m giving Lido 3 out of 5 stars is because today, one of the staff members was drenched in cologne. Every time he would walk by to clear plates or refill water (and this was a lot), we were hit with a nosefull of chemical fragrance. The kind that you can taste, which is soooo unappetizing when trying to enjoy a meal. It was bad enough that we pretended to be full and packed up the rest of our food to go.
That said, I’ll still be back, and I hope that the only problem (albeit a big one) has since been resolved.

5 Star experience! This place had the right amount of elegance…(not too fancy shmancy). The right amount of customer service…(no pretentiousness — genuinely kind & eager to please) The right amount of flavor…(pasta was piping hot & seasoned with perfect spices).
The place itself is open with a high ceiling & beautiful chandeliers. It has a patio dining area as well! Very pretty & romantic.
The curtains make it difficult to see from the outside looking in — which was why I was always hesitant to dine here (too fancy for me I thought). Well, once you’re sitting inside you see that the curtains are there to give it a more private feel. The plaza has other little shops with bright neon signs which can kill the mood;) I get it now!
Im very interested in attending a wine tasting event there… Thursdays.
Also, they host Saturday night salsa dancing after 10pm… good to know!

Great place. First time dining there.
Service was fantastic.
Had the Filet Mignon Pasta… a chocolate walnut tart and coffee. The meal did not disappoint. Come in on an empty stomache! You’ll be full when you leave!
It’s a pricey place, so come prepared to hand over your life savings. Just kidding. But it is high end.
Try to get Mayra to wait on your table. She’s really nice!

So we tried to go to Houston’s for dinner. One hour wait OMG. So we want 2 doors down and found this fabulous Italian restaurant.
Service was great! Food was really good and the tiramisu dessert was over-​the-​top!

Came here last night for a birthday party in the bar. I have been to the restaurant before, but the bar is small. It got crowded in there really quick. Drinks are a big pricey, but strong. It also was quite hot in there, if your dancing. Not sure if they had the air on, but they needed to.
Good mount of chairs, and booths, but never got to sit as it was packed by midnight.
I only stayed a couple of hours, as my feet were killing me in 5 inch heels.
Plenty of parking, in a huge strip mall with Bristol Farms. Didn’t try the food, so I cannot comment on that.

This place has absolutely stellar service. I live nearby so I usually come here for my italian fix cause parking in Hermosa or Manhattan Beach is a pain.
They have great wines and their prices are VERY fair… unlike other establishments that charge double.
They have a wine tasting every Thursday.

I went to Lido for a team lunch. They treated us very well. However, we waited about 40 minutes for our food. We did have a party of 12 people though, with a reservation.
I had the Chicken Parmesan with green beans. The chicken parm was average. The noodles with Alfredo sauce were quite bland and slightly watery which was a bit of a let down. But because the company paid for it, it didn’t taste that bad. Free food always tastes better as we all know :).
After our entrees, we tried the Marble Cheesecake and the Chocolate Lava Cake and both we awesome. I could go for some right now haha.
Would I recommend this place? I would say give it a shot — perhaps you will show up on one of their good days. I don’t think I would go back though.

This was a place that became a new place but wants to be a place and it’s just not any of them.
The food was, just OK. When I say just OK, it means unremarkable. Unremarkable in that it was similar to several chain eateries, and nothing beyond.
Service was just bearable. Just. As in, I don’t appreciate getting the southbound side of a north bound waiter rubbing against me. As in, waiving both arms for water, isn’t what I’d expect.
It’s odd to have to be very wary of seeing parts of short skirted people sitting across from your table that are on higher chairs at eye level. Unless that’s your thing. Which would be weird.
It’s something you could avoid if you have time to find other places to eat.

This is one of my favorite happy hour places in Manhattan Beach. They’ve got great appetizers and drinks at good prices until 7pm. They also have an excellent dinner menu. I always get the vodka & cream pasta dish. It’s delicious and one of my favorites! The bartender is great and service is excellent. They have many regular customers, which reminds me of the TV show, «Cheers». In addition, they have a holiday wine-​tasting event every Nov. which is a lot of fun, and they provide great appetizers!

I just recently came here with my family because we were throwing my sister a surprise baby shower.
I must say this is a cool spot in Manhattan Beach if you’re not willing to worry about huge crowds of people from the neighboring areas.
I know the description of my review will just be based on the fact that we had a private party, but nevertheless they impressed us.
The food was awesome, everything from the flatbread pizzas to the shrimps with something on them I really don’t know but was delicious, to the mango guacamole spring rolls.
The venue itself has a nice breezy patio in case you need a little bit of a gust of air to go with your meal, and inside I don’t know how to describe the décor but it felt most definitely modern and comfortable.
The service was also very accommodating for our 30 + party. At the end, it seemed pretty easy to clean up after the baby shower. I know my sister felt super blessed and her friends who planned it happy just because everything went smoothly. I most definitely want to go back to try other food just because I was thoroughly impressed by their service and atmosphere.

The linguini was delicious.
We had a large group in the patio and it was great service. This is a good location for a private event. I have been here twice and both times loved the atmosphere.
