I bought a 2002 Volvo from them about one month ago. I have experienced nothing but problems with the car since then. I haven’t even made the first car payment and it has already let me sitting TWICE! Plus their «Blue Book Value» is total horseshit and inflated. Look it up yourself. I was an idiot for trusting them. I understand that they can’t guarantee all the cars since they are such high mileage but there is not way they can stand behind their 50 point inspection because this car has all sorts of problems from the power steering to alternator. After the check engine light came on after 2 days of owning it I called them. They told me to come in on a set day and time. I left work and did that and they was told that I had to go to their Fiat store and drop off in the morning on a first come first served basis. Since I was in the process of moving I couldn’t do that and was very pissed that the original appointment was not upheld. Now I am 90 miles away and my car is in the shop getting all sort of parts replaced. The people there are nice and I blame myself for trusting them so much. The bottom line is this — check out the cars but before you buy do your homework on what the actual KBB value, what they did on the 50 point inspection and have it checked out by a mechanic before buying. Sounds like common sense but maybe I can help some knucklehead like me. Trust me, they have no heard the end from me on this yet.

They were very nice to start with. They were able to help us get what seemed to be a great car– 2003 Honda Odyssey.
When my repair person found some problems, they fixed two of the three challenges.
But when the transmission went out within two months of purchasing the car, it required social media protest and a call from corporate to lead to more amenable service.
They were willing to exchange the car for another, but we did not find anything suitable in the same category. They ended up fixing the car without charging labor and providing a minor discount.
It should not take that much effort to get good service.

Worst worst worst service EVER! We were promised the world and they never came through with any of it! Things take 100x longer than they should to be done at this place, it’s full of incompetent employees. Our car was an absolute lemon, and they tried every trick in the book to wipe their hands clean of it. A true nightmare.

This place is great — lot’s of clean cars — I purchased an 06 Honda Accord — miles were kind of high but I figured hey — it’s a Honda. They got me approved even with bad credit …

Worst service EVER! I have purchased plenty of cars never with as much hassle as this place gave me!!! The only reason I finished this deal was because I wanted a very specific car and the finance manager at the land rover down the road otherwise I would have walked! These people do NOT have their stuff together at all! The manager was so lazy that when I told him the battery needed to be replace before I purchased it, he said I will take $ 100.00 off your loan just so he didn’t have to replace it!!! They didn’t get all the information from me that they needed so after I think the deal is done they call me two days later demanding more information or they will come take the car, oh yeah that was the salesman Carl yelling at my over the phone saying that he wished he could just have the car back so that he could put it back on the lot for more money! That guy is a real piece of work!!! Oh and the amount financed 5,000! That’s it! All this B.S. for 5,000 give me a break someone messed up this deal royal and tried to blame it on me!!! My advice go somewhere else!

We bought a Volvo XC 90 here and the experience was pretty darn good. First, when I went to test drive it, the salesman (Alfonso Giannella) honored my request to cork the sales pitch … I just wanted to drive the car and had no intention of buying it that day. Second, when the price came down to a manageable level a few weeks later and we went back for round 2, it was just as low pressure. *whew* Next, we came with financing from our credit union and they were cool about not trying to shove their financing option down our throats. They just worked with our credit union and got the job done.
So, the pros: low pressure, nice folks, efficient, respectful, great price for this car, seriously decent car buying experience
And cons: Alfonso was very new so every question we asked him, he had to «check» with someone (but we liked him and would totally recommend him!); like all used car dealers, they didn’t know much about this specific model of car; they missed some things on their pre-​sale inspection that could have ended up costing us lots of dough but their sister store (Power Volvo South Bay) totally made good for them … and we probably ended up saving money because of it.
In the end, we really liked Alfonso and Art (the manager), actually enjoyed the car buying experience and love that we got the car we wanted at a price we wanted … and all in our own neighborhood! Honestly, buying a car can be so stressful but I have to say, when I drove away, I didn’t hate them at all. I didn’t even feel like I had bought a used car!

Al Stirling was awesome. Their selection varies, and their prices can be high (but aren’t always), but working with him was great. He’s so no-​nonsense.
