The Learning Gym is an assessment and training center for adults and children suffering from learning disabilities, ADD/​ADHD and processing disorders. Our processing and attention assessments isolate the underlying causes of learning disabilities and other processing disorders in order to properly diagnose and treat the individual’s needs.

We are a unique «one stop shop» offering numerous cognitive enhancement and sensory integration trainings that target and improve cognitive, processing and motor development issues all under one roof. We specialize in creating individualized programs based upon your specific needs. We will literally «Train The Brain» to improve processing speeds and to become more focused. Our programs aim to enhance academic performance, attention, behavior, focus, processing speeds, listening and self– esteem.

We also utilize specific programs such as Fast ForWord, Auditory Integration Training (AIT), Enlisten, AttenGo, and more!

Established in 1997.

Since 1997, The Learning Gym has been successful in assessing and treating children and adults with many forms of learning and attentional difficulties. We have continued to grow and expand by taking on new cutting edge programs in order to provide the most up to date comprehensive brain training possible.

Our experience here was a disaster. My opinion is The Learning Gym is a mill for ADD/​ADHD diagnoses.
I took my younger son there and Dr. Maxwell just about came out of her seat as my son «was among the worst case she has ever seen!!» Oh dear. But he was a 4.2 GPA student with no behavior problems who just had a hard time with focus and concentration so how was he even functioning? But I love my child and want the best for him, so I followed along with what she told me.
I became so concerned that I brought her his older brother and «he was EVEN WORSE!!» In an attempt to bond with him (he was a senior in high school) she used the F-​word several times to express what she felt must be his level of frustration. He just stared at her, confused by a professional using that kind of language. I, too, sat there flabbergasted! My gut told me to walk but concern for my kid kept me there.
Unfortunately, both diagnoses led us down a long path that did not benefit my sons in the least. I cringe when I think about the drugs my sons took to treat ADD which we now know were completely unnecessary. But the affect on my boys’ self esteem was the most unfortunate by-​product of the entire experience. I believe, and my belief has been confirmed by other psychologists, that my sons were completely misdiagnosed. It is my opinion that The Learning Tree is looking for ADD/​ADHD and not seeing any other possibility.
ADD/​ADHD is real. Best of luck to you as you seek the best for your own child.

Davis Garcia is extremely helpful, although services can be pretty expensive, The Learning Gym has helped my son out tremendously. My son has a learning disability and has been attending this center for several years now, than to David and his team my on has experienced great gain. My son has been to many therapist, tutors, physchologist, and councelors and this is the only place that seems to have actuallu made an impact with him. The biggest gains I have seen is when he was age 8 – 11. This place is woth trying out if all our solutions have failed.
