The Ripe Choice Catering

Visiting clients in downtown Manhattan Beach a couple blocks from the beach (nice life) we stopped by on his recommendation to this small catering company that does to go food as well.
I’m so glad we did… Probably the best Turkey sandwich of my life and my partner had the steak sandwich and wanted to go back and get another for the plane ride home.
The Turkey I kid you not tasted just like Thanksgiving and it was so fresh with avocado and maybe my favorite part a very garlicky mayo that absolutely made it.
Although I didn’t get a tasted the steak sandwich I was told was excellent with lots of tender grilled steak and a herb salsa. The sandwiches were also pressed like a pannini adding a great crunch to them.
WIll be back next time we’re in town and maybe hit the beach this time.

Wonderful customer service. I had to cancel my event for my birthday. The owner was so easy to deal with given the sudden change that I really appreciated it. Best carter in MB. She goes beyond what is necessary to keep clients happy and prepares amazing events!

Goodness, if I can live in that bowl of tuna tatare… I would.
The Hubby threw a birthday bash for me on the beach. After being vetoed by the other two women in his life regarding party decorations and themes (sorry dudes, camo netting does not coordinate well with Hello Kitty balloons), they assigned him the food task. Wondered how he was gonna pull that one off since I am usually the one that cooks for our parties. Hubby commissioned the help of The Ripe Choice, and the words «way beyond impressed» doesn’t seem to cut it. We had an amazing beet, feta, and mixed green salad, a farro and vegetable salad with a lemony dressing, tuna tartare (**drool**), beef sliders, and chicken sliders with goat cheese. AND a red velvet Hello Kitty cake, of course. Food was a hit.
Husband was telling me how wonderful it was to work with Tammy Lipps. They provided everything we needed for the food at the party; even river rocks to keep napkins from flying away. Gabe (I believe that was his name) helped keep the platters filled with food and even helped me cut and serve the cake. Great food, great people, great place. I can’t wait for the next time we’ll get to use Tammy Lipps’s services again. Along with the tuna tartare, there are some amazing dishes to try.

I often forget about this place since they don’t come up on Unilocal when I search for restaurants near me. But, this place is great. Many people might not know, but you can walk in and order food. They do more than just catering.
The sandwiches are wonderful. Tasty, fresh ingredients, and a menu that changes often. They also have great sides (chips, salads, veggies, ans soups). AND they serve Two Guns coffee. Huge plus.
My two favorites are the Cuban, and the Brisket sandwich. The staff is also very nice. They seem stoked just to make a sandwich. Love this place.

Ripe Choice To Go has some of the BEST salads and sandwiches for a quick lunch. So healthy, great ingredients, reliable, wonderful flavor, and very friendly staff and owner. I’d love to try their catering sometime. Thank you for being one of our favorite lunch spots!

Not reliable. Called for a quote and was told they’ll email me the quote that afternoon… never got anything from them. Waste of time calling them and going to their whole in the wall place. Don’t was ur time. U can cater from whole foods, BBQ places etc…

Amazing. I was at a baby shower today that was catered by this place. Everything was on point. There were so many delicious options to choose from. Plus, the service was excellent. Happy to know this place exists!

Had the brisket sando and pumpkin coconut curry soup. Reallllly delish! Brisket is perfectly cooked & tender, the soup was a little too thick, but great flavor. So happy this little place is twelve steps from my house!

I stopped in here unexpectedly last week with some friends; we had been planning to go to Fishbar but realized we wouldn’t have time to do so before we all had other commitments to get to. I’m so glad it worked out that way because I discovered this little gem of a place. I had the adult grilled cheese and it was amazing. The perfect amount of cheese, grilled to the perfect consistency, and with a nice addition of bacon that wasn’t too salty or fatty. The sandwich was very generously sized; in fact, I ate half of it and had the other half for lunch the next day (mmm, grilled cheese leftovers!). My friends had salads that looked great and they loved them — one a grilled shrimp salad with quinoa and the other a garden veggie with hazelnuts/​cashews. Everything was as fresh as can be and one can tell that everything is prepared with care. I will definitely be back for more yummy grilled cheese, and the next time I need to arrange for catering, Ripe Choice will be the first company that I call.

Ripe Choice catering is professionally operated by Tammy Lipps. She is an amazing chef and we have never been disappointed by her. I have used her catering services on multiple times over the past 2 years and my entire staff had nothing but praise for her tasteful dishes and unique selections…

Delicious, delicious, delicious. The Ripe Choice does an excellent job at creating High Quality Food and Service. It is the perfect choice for a quick sandwich or an elaborate catered event. Plus they are very nice and always greet you with a smile. I highly recommend this local Manhattan Beach company and trust that you will be convinced at first bite.

I just tried a sandwich to go. The short rib sandwich was shockingly delicious and at a good price considering the quality. Wow. Also, the ladies working there are very sweet.
This is a welcome addition to the neighborhood.

Address is actually on Rosecrans just east of Highland, next to El Terasco. Tried this place because I’d had some of their remarkable catering. Superb sandwiches and salads made right in front of you from scratch with fresh, high quality ingredients. Not your typical sandwich shop in other
words — a high quality caterer that puts the same high standards into their lunch counter fare.

This a take-​out sandwich/​salad spot with great food. There are staple items like the ridiculously wonderful adult grilled cheese and weekly specials. Warm and friendly atmosphere and service.
The catering business is terrific with beautiful presentations, delicious food and ease of service from start to finish.
