Their new location is at 315 11^th street closer to the Manhattan beach pier.
The experience was lovely. The space has a nice vibe to it. You receive your mani/​pedi in an armchair with pillows so it almost feels like home.
The manicurists were kind and seemed willing to talk if you wanted. I however was perfectly content to stay silent and watch the movie that was playing.
My gel manicure was very well done and the recommended color looks fantastic!

I’m sorry but I used to like this place but the owner’s personally is horrible! Lost my business for good. Horrible customer service.

I really enjoyed the space and getting pampered at this nail spa. VALERY did my manicure and she does a fabulous job. She owns the nail spa and has the most beautiful personality. I enjoy sitting and talking with her. They offer a selection of polish, wonderful advice on nails, and has talent. Devil Wears Prada was playing while I was chilling out. Loved it! Thanks Valery!!! This place is absolutely adorable and the staff are so nice but I received the worst manicure ever when I went here this past weekend.
My girlfriend and I both had chipped nails by the end of the day. Her nail polish started puffing up and separating due to it being so thick. The sad thing is, the manicurist mentioned many times that the polish was thick and had seen better days but she still didn’t go and get a different bottle of white. She also didn’t give my friend a massage at all.
I wish I could say that I would be back since it is such a cute place, but I definitely won’t be. It is just not worth it.

Not a good first time experience here.
My treatments were REALLY lame. In fact, the 2^nd lamest treatments I’ve ever had in my life. Minimal (4 seconds and soft) filing of callouses and literally 8 second speedy, cheesy massage on each arm/​foot.
I got my man/​pedi simultaneously. My pedi was so quick, that she needed to paint my toes the same time as my nails. And rather than massage me while waiting for the polish, my pedicurist just looked at my feet. AWKWARD! Cause= Effect… So she totally wasted her tip, me wanting to return AND this negative review.
Additionally, treatments can be done outside, and wasn’t offered this. Instead, I spent my 25 minute treatment trapped inside the tiny room on this gorgeous day. Thanks a lot Zenka.:-/
Clean, and English speaking manicurists, but not worth the pathetic lack of a good, solid treatment.
PS– I should’ve known the quality of service when the «champagne» was not offered as sparkling apple juice.

This is my favorite place to go get my nails done. Midori and Edna always make my nails look great and make me feel so pampered. I have a job where I’m constantly typing on the computer and my nail polish wears fast — I recommend to get the Gelicure manicure: it lasts 2 weeks without chipping or wearing and it literally stays shiny for that amount of time. The price is definitely reasonable. I will never go back to another «around-​the-​corner» nail shop where nobody speaks English! haha.

Zenka is a true wellness experience! Beautiful designed, super clean, great color selection, sweet technicians, champaign and a very detailed and pampering treatment with a scrub, great massage and hot towels.
This is now my favorite nails spa — worth every cent!

I am new to the area and was in desperate need for a pedicure.
I wanted one from a «spa» as opposed to an oriental nail salon (absolutely no offence meant by that), as I find the quality and cleanliness is better. Upon my search, I found Zenka and decided to give it a try.
When I phoned to book my appointment, I told the woman on the phone (who was very nice) that I had extremely dry and cracked heels. She recommended the pedicure for me and was able to take me that day.
Friendly workers, and the woman who did my pedicure was so sweet and easy to talk to; however, the quality of the pedicure itself was not good. I get pedicures 2 x a month, so I know what is good quality.
First of all, the water was lukewarm.
The «massage» was not a massage at all. She did it while the hot towels were wrapped around my feet… I felt nothing.
I warned the lady that I had very dry and cracked feet, and I walked out with still very dry and cracked feet. Very dissapointing, as I payed $ 55 for my pedicure.
The polish job was done very well though.
I really wanted to enjoy my experience– they were so sweet and friendly… But something is not right if I am paying that much money to walk out with the same cracked heels I walked in with!

Still going strong under new ownership. Love this place for a great pedicure. It’s small and you get personal service. A soak and scrub are included with their basic pedicure. Close to the beach; metered parking down below the Metlox center.

I was rushed through the service. They seated on the balcony on a hot day facing the sun, did not even ask me if I prefer shade and felt like there was no time to move!
Disappointing.

The location is very nice, clean and comfortable. Make sure you bring coins for parking meters! The staff was very nice, and my appointment started right on time! I got a mani/​pedi there and had to book an appointment pretty far in advance, but I received a gift card that needed to be put to use! My mani/​pedi (not gel) lasted about a week, and although I enjoyed myself while I was there, I probably won’t be back unless I get another gift card! ;)

I had Minx nails done here for a bachelorette party I attended last month. The service was efficient and friendly, and my nails looked great. I got compliments all weekend long. Valery helped me to pick out colors and designs for my fun nails. I have already recommended Zenka Luxe to friends who have asked me where to get gel nails, because I saw that they use high quality products and I know they take care in their work. I like the privacy of the room. I am also a customer of Trilogy so I appreciate the location and ease of checking in/​out.

This was one of the best pedicures I’ve received in the LA area. Zenka is located inside Trilogy Spa in the outdoor shopping section right off of Manhattan Beach Blvd. There are meters and street parking but that will always be hit or miss depending on if the weather is beach worthy. I recommend driving a few extra blocks to get a non-​permitted spot in the residential area. But back to the pedicure — I was taken to a private room with two seats facing a large screen tv showing a movie. My pedicurist handed me magazines to read as I listened to some nice tunes pumping into the room. The receptionist brought me a glass of champagne and a side of fruit to munch on. The pedicure massage was quite lovely. It definitely felt like an oasis to come and relax. I will definitely be coming back. And as a plus, the pedicure with tip was $ 36 which is a deal considering the service.

This place is amazing!
I was familiar with the name because I used to visit Zenka nail spa when they were down the street. The ownership and location has changed but the services have only improved. I stopped by yesterday to get a mani/​pedi. They graciously accommodated me at 6pm and both women did an incredible job. I opted for the spa pedicure and manicure which included the hot stones. They took their time and knew how to use the stones to both massage and relax my hands and feet. It was one of the best mani/​pedis I have ever received!
The spa is spotless, the employees were welcoming and I noticed that they carry a line of more natural polishes that are ‘three-​free’ (a term I had to inquire about and means they are free of the 3 harshest chemicals usually found in polishes) I have found my new spot– Thanks Zenka!

This place is like a breath of fresh air! Received a minx/​gel manicure with Valery yesterday & I absolutely LOVE my nails! I have received SO many compliments already! Valery is so detailed-​oriented and takes her time. She also ended my session with a AMAZING arm massage. The girl almost had me fall asleep! The location itself is within a spa and is very clean & trendy. I was impressed by the variety of gel colors, glitter, & minx designs available to choose from. My manicure session took place in a private room, which was a nice change from your typical nail salon. I definitely enjoyed my experience here and can’t wait for Valery to do my nails next time!

If I could give this zero stars I would. I purchased a LifeBooker deal for 2 main-​pedis. When I went to make the appointment, for some reason the voucher showed as «redeemed» — I called and was told «No problem, we’ll honor it». Then the ownership changed — when I told the new owner about it (Valery) she made it sound like she was doing me a huge favor to honor the voucher. When I called AND emailed her about the second main-​pedi I paid for, radio silence.
The services are overpriced for standard mani-​pedi.

I took my cousin here for a pre-​wedding manicure and pedicure and there are definitely some great things to say about Zenka Luxe. For starters, it’s super clean and cute and you get to have your services done in a private room which makes it really nice and intimate. Their manicurist were really sweet and friendly too.
However, there are also some really negative aspects to this place. For starters I think the service is really bad. And I’m not talking about the manicurist. They were great. I’m talking about the girl running the front and scheduling appointments. A few hours before our appointments, I called and asked if we could come in 30 minutes later. She said no and that if we were late we’d lose our appointments. So we rushed to get there a little early and then we ended up having to wait almost 30 minutes. What really annoyed me though was that they totally rushed us out to accommodate the next guest. I booked the appointments together so we could relax and catch up. However, because my cousin’s manicurist finished faster than mine, they hurried her out of the room instead of letting her comfortably sit while mine were being finished. Neither of our nails had even dried and the front desk girl was literally shoving our sandals on our feet and our purses in our hands. And in the midst of rushing us out, one of my nails was totally ruined.
I just think when you charge almost double for a manicure and pedicure you should deliver a certain caliber of customer service and that wasn’t the case. We complained and they apologized and discounted the service but it still kind of ruined it for me. Even the apology came with attitude. It’s unfortunate because literally everything else about this place was great.
So if you check this place out make sure to be firm and not let the girl up front rush you in and out.

I have been here a few times and never had any complaints until this last visit. The quality of my pedicure was just as good, but I wasn’t happy with the customer service. The receptionist was (and is always) super nice. But, my appointment started 20 minutes late! I had other things to do, I arrived on time and I was there so long my meter almost ran out. I heard that she was running late because the person before me added on an extra service. She shouldn’t have done the extra service if it was going to run over into my reserved time. And to top it off, she NEVER apologized for being behind. I will go back, but only if Jackie will do the appointment. She’s always been on time.

Such a gem! I wanted to wait a few days to write my review to see how my rough and tough hand washing lifestyle dealt with my mani and I have to admit I’m impressed.
The location itself is such a treat, it is inside the Trilogy Spa which has its perks. I arrived early for my appointment so the bestie and I were able to receive a tour of the facility and relax in their Serenity Room where we enjoyed hot tea and noshed on apples and oranges while we waited for our appointments.
The nail salon itself is small, which is a NICE change. I’m kinda tired of the big salons with the rukus in language I can’t understand. Here I was able to enjoy peace. Not that the techs were disinterested or rudely aloof, they were very friendly and appropriately chatty. But they seem to understand the delicate balance between pleasant convo and tranquil silence.
I had the manicure express which I was very pleased with. To be honest I half expected a mediocre attempt at a manicure that was bound to chip the first time I washed my hands. So far it’s been about a week and I have minimal chippage. For me this is great! I work in health care so the amount of handwashing I do usually works my polishes down to nothing in no time.
The Spa Indulgence Pedicure was DELICIOUS! My footsies felt so pampered afterwards and oh so soft. The massage was so amazing that I was speaking to my friend from behind my eyelids. Yes, it was that good. I believe the tech with the magic hands was Valerie. Next time I’ll save my pennies and really splurge on the Island Escape Pedicure. Hot stone massage? Sign me up please!

I had an amazingly relaxing time at Zenka nails thanks to the atmosphere, the calming energy, and of course Valerie (nail tech) who gave me a great foot and hand massage and was just a sweet heart. I love the location of this place because it’s near the beach and they share space with Triology Spa (which I plan to check out soon).
I walked in and was greeted nicely by the receptionist and she quickly walked me over to the cozy room I was going to be taken care of in and she offered me water. The room is intimate and a far better option than sitting in a salon with 20 other woman chit chatting. The room has a tv, music playing, magazines, 2 chairs (just in case you want to go with a friend or partner), and all the stress is left at the door. I was extremely relaxed as she started on my feet.
I got the Island Escape Pedicure which is a luxurious custom-​blended, spa pedicure that pampers your nails and feet. This treatment deep cleans, rejuvenates, and exfoliates for healthier, softer skin using exotic ingredients and it included a Hot Stone Massage which was HEAVEN!
I also got a Spa Indulgence Manicure which revives, restores and smooths hands. Your hands will be pampered as your senses are refreshed by the delightful scent and feel. Included was the Lavender Paraffin Treatment which felt AMAZING on my hands. Definitely a must!
I got a magnetic gel manicure on my nails with the matching color on my toe nails. I absolutely love it! That magnetic nail polish is pretty cool. Gives your nail a cool dynamic and they way they do it is interesting. I can’t stop looking at the wavy design that was created.
Overall, I had a beautiful time at Zenka Nails and I plan to return very soon. They do services on the top deck as well, which sounds lovely on a nice summer day. Next time, I’m trying out their Minx… I saw a lot of cool patterns I want to try out.
