Incredible service. Jonathan worked with us from out of state to organize installation, was incredibly kind, knowledgable, and got the job done quickly. He even organized a great deal for us when we decided to upgrade our unit!

I looked up AC Installation on Unilocal about 45 minutes ago and I already have my window unit installed!
I called the top result from my search (Supercoolnyc), and Jonathan was in the neighborhood and willing to stop by on the way to another appointment. Super friendly guy, very professional, and very quick. I highly, highly recommend him.

Received a call back within a few hours that they were available for a next-​day appointment. Arrived within the time frame specified and called to let us know when he was 30 minutes away. Our air conditioner was installed and running within 15 minutes of arrival, and he gave us helpful advice on wintertime storage and maintenance of our unit.

Very smooth service and installation. I got lucky with my scheduling; I called on a Monday morning in the middle of July and got a call back in a few hours that *same* day. AND was able to make an appointment for later that afternoon! Jon came exactly on time, and could not have been more friendly. Installation went without a hitch and the time/​hassle I saved by not figuring out and installing my own A/​C units was well worth the cost. Highly recommended!

Jonathan is awesome! Like several other Unilocalers noted, he is running this small business nearly single-​handedly, so it may take a few days for him to respond, but it’s worth the wait (and note that he said next year he plans to hire a few additional people, so that will help). He was right on time and an expert with the old A/​C unit my husband and I had found in the closet in our new apartment. He checked the unit for mold, told me the best ways to keep it running for a few more years, and showed me how to clean the unit and the filter.
The installation (including him patiently answering all of my questions!) was probably only 30 minutes total. Fast and easy. The level of service Jonathan provided definitely surpassed my expectations. In addition, he’s a super nice guy and pretty cool (no pun intended) to hang with for a half hour. If we need air conditioning in any future apartments, I know who to call.

My ac had broken and I was desperate for relief from the heat. I called while I was traveling in hopes theyd be able to install a new ac shortly after I returned. They called back within hours and I was able to schedule for a few days later. I asked questions about the units offered and the best fit for an apartment my size and they were very helpful.
Jonathan called before and arrived exactly on time. From start to finish it took about 30 min and they did everything– from taking out and removing old ac and installing new ac neatly and quickly while also managing to remove a dead mouse from a neighbors apt– talk about full service
For everything it seemed fairly priced and for what you get and the professionalism I would recommend their services to anyone. Thanks again!

It doesn’t take much to see that Supercool is the best service you can get. Every rating on here is 5 stars, except for the few who have rated 1 star and that’s purely because they didn’t get a call back (they’re a small company and they apologise in advance and say if you don’t get a call back to go with someone else — a very honest and open approach!).
There’s nothing more to want from Supercool. Brilliant service. Efficient. Value for money. Jonathan was professional, friendly and a pure pleasure. It was like inviting a friend to come over and install your air con, only that friend knows exactly what he’s doing :).
I couldn’t recommend Supercool enough and will to anyone looking for air con installation. It made that part of my move so much easier. Thank you.

I read the reviews posted and was «sold» on requesting service. I called the number listed and received a recording stating they are a small company, therefore, their response time is 48hrs, and if you do not hear from them within that time frame; they suggest you contact a different vendor — WEIRD.
Of course my two (2) calls, I did not receive a response. So I tried contacting them via inbox on Unilocal.I received what I would say as a prompt response. Here were it made no sense. They informed me that do not service my area in Queens; although their are views posted for sections in Queens. When I replied back informing them that they have other areas in Queens that they service, so why not mine — I received not response. RUDE!
The fact that they have a wider range of service areas listed for reviews leads me to believe so of the posting listed are «Fakes»: Their lack of professionalism is not desirable.
There is something weird about this vendor.

I called Jonathan yesterday, and I have a functional air conditioner today. He was very accommodating of my schedule and patient with helping me figure out what kind of air conditioner is best for my room. He called to let me know when he was on his way, arrived promptly, and finished the job in 20 minutes. Very professional and efficient service!

I signed up for Unilocal specifically to leave this review, because Jonathan did such an amazing job. Don’t be freaked out if you have to leave a voicemail in the busy season. He got back to us quickly, showed up right at the beginning of his appointment window, and got the job done in record time. Everything is working swimmingly, he was extremely friendly and professional, and showed this window unit noob how to work everything. Absolutely 100% would recommend him.

If I could give Jonathan a million stars, I would. The absolute best customer service I have EVER had since I moved to the City twelve years ago. I have read the one star reviews stating Jonathan does not return phone calls, but he does return calls. He is super busy because he got all these 5 star reviews on Unilocal,and continues to work 12 hour days in an effort to keep up with the growing demand for his service. i realize that it isn’t easy to be patient when you are sweating and almost suffocating in your poorly ventilated NYC apartment, but Jonathan will call you back, and you will soon realize that he is worth waiting for. He’s in business for himself; when you call Supercool, you get Jonathan, not some moron with his butt crack hanging out who overcharges you and doesn’t know sh*t about installing air conditioners.
As someone said in another review, Jonathan is the real deal. He’s professional, arrived at the time he said he would, and called to give me a heads up that he was on the way. Even before he came, he helped me choose the best a/​c for the bedroom of my lollipop shaped apartment. I had my heart set on a Freidrich, and was ready to buy a more expensive unit, but he said I didn’t need that many BTUs. Who does that?!
With the help of his assistant, Jonathan installed my new Freidrich 7800 BTU air conditioner with the skill of a surgeon. Whoever says installing an air conditioner is simple is wrong. Especially in this crazy city with all the building regulations and requirements! He made several adjustments, which a person without the highly specialized knowledge would not have known to make. He checked every piece of equipment thoroughly and stayed to make sure everything was working up to par. He actually waited until the room was cool, and made several recommendations on how to cool the rest of my apartment without going broke.
As if this wasn’t enough, I had some follow up questions and I received an answer promptly. Did I mention that Jonathan is the nicest, most patient person on the planet?
It has been said that patience is a virtue. Although I tend to disagree, sitting in my «supercool» bedroom with my a/​c working like a charm, I’m glad that I waited for Jonathan. He was well worth the wait!

I found Supercool on Unilocal.At first, I was worried, because I called and e-​mailed about getting an ac installed, but still hadn’t received a response after several days. When Jonathan called, he was apologetic — he was going through over 400 messages! Apparently I’m not the only one leaving ac installation until the last minute. Even though he called in the middle of the AIDS walk, I hustled to the sidelines long enough to make an appointment for the following week. Jonathan just left my apartment — he did a great job, was incredibly pleasant and fun to talk to, and best of all, he’s not out to bilk you needlessly. When I asked if I needed to pay to have my ac taken out of my window this winter, he said nah, the little window units were made to be left outside! He could have made an extra $ 100 off me this winter, but he told me the truth instead. Outstanding!

After several attempts at trying to get my AC to work in my apartment, I finally caved in and decided to give Supercool a call. At first, no one answered so I left a voicemail (cause God knows how many hours, or days… maybe even years, it would take me to fix the darn thing).
I immediately got a call back from my savior – Jonathan from Supercool! He informed me that unfortunately he doesn’t work with the kind of AC/​heating units found in my apartment, but he was still more than happy to give me advice on how to proceed with the situation. With the hustling no-​stop NYC lifestyle, it’s hard to come across people now-​adays willing to give you anytime of their lives, but Jonathan was a definite exception. He spent about 15 minutes simply giving ME (trust me, I’m not the smartest of bulbs when it comes to maintenance work) advice! I really appreciated the customer service I received from Jonathan. If I ever have any other similar problems in the future, I will definitely call Supercool again, and I recommend that you do too!

I would have loved to write an actual review, but they never replied to any of my calls or emails. Guess they don’t need the business! Try out «Air Conditioner Installation By Vlad.» He replied the same day and his prices are decent for window installations.

Over the last six months of my apt redo I have encountered some good and some not so good contractors, painters, and of course the horrendous incident with that moving company.
I was hopeful but still nervous about the AC installation as I knew they needed to build brackets so a bit more complicated than a regular window install.
Due to the positive reviews on Unilocal I reached out to Jonathan from Supercool. He was knowledgeable and professional on the phone, and worked with me to reschedule when I had to go on a last minute business trip. They just left and I couldn’t be happier… Yippee!
Jonathan and Ed arrived exactly on time, didn’t flinch when I made them take off their shoes, and most importantly installed my AC perfectly to meet the regulations of my co-​op board. An easy, hassle free experience plus a cool apartment to boot!

Great find! One of my older units was not functioning well so I did a search on Unilocal.I saw that this company had many favorable reviews so I gave them a call. They were very quick to return my call and set up an appointment. Jonathan arrived when he said he would, and spent over an hour cleaning my two units. They are both working great now and I’m so glad to have both a/c’s functioning at 100% again. His price was very fair and I will definitely call again if I have a problem.

After I installed my window unit this summer, I realized something was wrong with it – it was leaking and clicking, not cooling very well. Was surprised it broke, since the unit was only 2.5 years old and I store it inside for at least 6 months a year. Not knowing any better, I figured it would be my last year with the unit.
When I finally took the unit out come November, I realized I had no idea how to dispose of a broken A/​C unit. I called SuperCoolNYC on a Saturday night simply for help, and the friendly man who answered spent 5 minutes talking me through my broken A/​C challenge. (Answer: I’d never cleaned the filters, and I installed it a little crooked.)
The call saved me the hassle of disposing of my old unit, the cost of a new unit, and he charged nothing, and was kind about the whole thing. I know who to call to install the unit come May!

I was referred to SuperCoolNYC by a friend who got some air conditioners from them last summer and couldn’t be happier.
I couldn’t believe how fast they delivered and installed the AC; it was literally less than 24 hours. I called them Sunday evening and they arrived on Monday afternoon.
Jonathan was very helpful and informative as to which AC we needed. He didn’t try to sell us anything we didn’t need and answered all our questions. He was really patient and made it really easy for us as we had no clue what the difference of each AC was. The AC looked brand new and worked perfectly.
