Named as one of the top contemporary galleries in NYC, ARTHOUSE. NYC is a cutting edge digital art exhibition, performance and event space in Soho. Soho Arthouse has hosted a variety of events, including International iPhoneography Show, Land Art Generator Initiative, Curioos, Crated, MacPhun, Hipstamatic, Social Media Week, 1197, Global Art Group, Merck’s I Design with Mondo Guerra, The Last of The Italians, Mixed-​Up Mosaics, Intuitive Photo Group Show, Small Girls PR, DrawQuest, New Era, Turner PR, Defcon the Documentary, Rider’s Alliance’s Alliance 100 ways to improve the subway, Kogeto Launch of Dot, MacGuffin Films and HBO’s Girls. Susannah P.

Manager

Susannah Perlman is a comedian/​chanteuse/​curator and producer She produced «Nice Jewish Girls Gone Bad»,“The Obama Girls of Comedy”, Funny Girls on Film Festival and the Art of Making Funny. Perlman has also been on the last 2 season’s of «Last Comic Standing» on NBC. In addition, she has performed on every stage known to man, has appeared in numerous festivals, including the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, NY Burlesque Festival, The HOWL Festival and The NY Underground Comedy Festival. Her work has been featured on WE, TLC, MTV and The Late Show With David Letterman. She has a few albums to her credit. «Beating Around the Bush» and «The Goddess Bless America». For the past 5 years Ms. Perlman currently works the curator and event producer of ARTHOUSE. NYC producing events for Planned Parenthood, Memorial Sloan Kettering, Acts of Happiness, Verge Art Fair, MacPhun’s International iPhoneography Show, Land Art Generator Initiative, Hipstamatic and GQ

We hosted our departmental holiday party at the ArtHouse venue on 28th/​5th. The party was simply fantastic. Susannah and her team were wonderful and she literally took care of everything. The space is wonderful, great loft feel with unobstructed views of the Empire State Building which is beautiful at night. There is enough room for people to mingle and dance. I am looking forward to utilizing this space in the future. You get a lot of bang for your buck which isn’t often the case when you are trying to host a large party in NYC.

We had an event at the SoHo Gallery for Digital Art last night, and it was fantastic. Susannah and her team were so helpful and flexible with all our requests leading up to and during the event. For the launch of our new music platform and iOS app Gralbum, our team was looking for a great venue where we could show off our digital technology, welcome celebrity guests like Laurie Anderson and host performances from some of our Gralbum Collective artists like Bora Yoon and Adam Matta. Soho Digital turned out to the be the perfect venue, allowing us to connect iPads to their high-​def screens, helping us with bar service, and being extremely flexible with all our requests.
The size of the venue was perfect for us, easily accommodating a large guest list, while still maintaining a relaxed and intimate feel that would have not been possible with a larger venue.
Susannah Perlman demonstrated a passion and dedication to her role as curator and event coordinator and exceeded our expectations, ensuring our important launch event went as smoothly as possible.

SOHO Arthouse is an excellent venue for showcasing multimedia events! On a beautiful fall night, a line spills out the door of Soho Arthouse. It wasn’t a typical sight to see in Soho, let alone on a Tuesday night, where over 400 people, 90% of which were under the age of 22, attended the packed opening night listening and watching youth produced media of growing up policed in New York City. «The More Than A Quota» youth from The Academy at Urban Arts Partnership (UAP), LatinoJustice PRLDEF (LJP), and Make the Road New York (MTRNY) wore their white «Know Your Rights» t-​shirts with pride as they answered questions from the crowd. The students were amazed and overwhelmed by the response, from tears to joy, they knew they had completed their objective of engaging their peers in this conversation, sharing their story and encouraging others to join «More Than A Quota» to share their stories. Thank you SOHO Arthouse for providing an awesome venue and excellent service.

I am thinking of doing another show with them this year. If you are looking to rent a space in a great neighborhood in NYC, I would highly recommend them!

This space was great — I also attended a party there and was blown away; how had I walked by that space so many times and not noticed it? The art was cool, the space was just the right size where the party felt busy but you were never crowded, and the staff were just so helpful and kind. Glad to know about this gem.

Such a lovely venue! I attended a holiday party here last month and will definitely look to a host an event here in the future. It’s always so fun to attend events at galleries, but sometimes the space and set up just aren’t conducive to movement and mingling. Not the case with Soho Arthouse at all. Comfortably holds 100+ people, two spacious floors, great art, and a cute little fireplace to boot!

I hosted a fantastic holiday event at Soho Arthouse. The staff were friendly and the space comfortably fit the 100+ attendees. I loved that the space had two floors… it created a dynamic space for many conversations, networking, and general holiday party goodness. The bar set up, tables, and area designated for a tasty food spread allowed for the event to have an intimate yet bustling feel. I’d definitely host an event in this space again!

I recently hosted a holiday event at the Soho House– it was a great venue! Super intimate feel while still having a lot of space for guests to move around. I loved how there was an upstairs and a downstairs to the space, ultimately kept the feeling of an «exclusive» event while not feeling crowded.
Also, very accessible to all of the subways, easy to walk to, and the bartender that they hired was great also! Definitely book an event here!

a non-​profit I’m on the board of hosted our holiday party here. The proximity to so many trains was awesome. The built in entertainment of digital art was not only a crowd pleaser, but also an ongoing topic of conversation for an event focused on networking.
the split level set-​up was great for accommodating many guests, but never having the space feel too packed.
the staff gave us a lot of freedom to work within the space and we would definitely rent from them again.

We had our holiday party at Soho Arthouse and I loved the space. It’s a 2000 sq. feet on 2 floors with 16 40″ digital canvases. Art is definitely worth checking out if you find yourself around.
In addition, the manager was very easy to work with and was able to accommodate all of our requests for a very reasonable cost. Would definitely rent the space again and perhaps have them throw one of their unique art parties where they completely decorate the space to reflect the theme of the party, hire musicians and actors and do whatever else you might want/​need!

I recently went to a fellow photographer’s photo exhibit at the SoHo Gallery for Digital Art.
Photographers and artists can show off their portfolios on digital TVs, instead of hanging prints on the wall. The main floor has 16 large 40″ LCD screens, and the lower level has a movie screen with seating. It’s a very interesting concept.

Free museum with air conditioning. It is simple, unpretentious, and can be finished in about 20 minutes. This place is good if you are on your way to somewhere. The art is displayed on large screens around the main room and it is nice.

It’s free and there are pictures that move — it’s like an airconditioned Harry Potter respite from heavy, humid Manhattan summers.
Oh, and there’s a slide show exhibit of Israel in the basement. If you’ve ever wanted to see an obscured view of a Bris, check it out.

Really great little place for photography lovers! It’s also located in one of the loveliest streets in the village. The space has two floors and they are both below ground. There are photo exhibitions on the first floor using these giant digital screens that displays the photographs beautifully and powerfully.
I took a 2 hour workshop here on a Sunday and learned a lot about camera settings and composition and little tips and tricks from a wonderful teacher. Susannah who is the curator of the space is very friendly as well. We went all around Washington Square Park and the time flew by as we took pictures and followed some sound advice. After sending our best photographs afterwards to Susannah, the best ones will be chosen and displayed in a special exhibit that are open to friends and family of the participants. What a great idea!

I love this gallery! Had the honor of having photos on display there, the space is gorgeous, TVs scrolling the photos makes for awesome conversation. Spacious, chic, accommodating, simply love!
