Au Bon Pain

I enjoy this An Bön Pain! The staff is very friendly and they get the orders right. The food is usually good and this location is very convenient. The staff does not just slop things together. I am really impressed by the manager who seems to really care about the business and making the customers happy.

The only issue, the salad bar isn’t exactly worth the effort… But the soups and other treats make up for the lack-​luster salad bar.

I’ve kept my distance because this place is so addictive.
But now that they are so conveniently close to home, I cannot restrain myself any longer and I confess I have not.
I love their pumpkin squash soup. I could eat this soup every day! Accompany with the asiago cheese breadstick and I’m in hog heaven. Not sure how many calories is this lunch time indulgence, but a hot comforting meal is what I’ve been craving this past few weeks.
For salad, the thai chicken peanut salad is just as addictive. The peanut ginger dressing and wontons totally make the salad. Its refreshing and almost guiltless.
My indulgence continues with their corn muffins that have corn pieces in them and they are the right amount of sweetness and never overcooked. They have recently changed their recipe for their crossants but I’m loving it. They’ve got great buttery, flaky, crossants which is a telling sign of the rest of the desserts.
I can’t get enough of this place. Its just too good!

I get my breakfast from this Au Bön Pain every weekday. How’s this for an endorsement?
In comparison to Broadway locations, this location is much less busy in the morning. There might be one or two people in line for bagels and about the same for the cash register.
I think that Au Bön Pain makes the best bagels among the choices available in WFC. The other choices are Starbucks and Devon & Blakely, and I think bagels in those two stores are just not competitive. I especially like Asiago, but even plain bagels taste great. I also think that French Roast coffee is just strong enough.
No review of the WFC Au Bön Pain would be complete without mentioning Joel. He is warmly welcoming to everyone, and he is always cheerful and in good mood. I think he is a model worker for the food service industry and he should be promoted to Corporate Trainer to teach other employees his positive vibe.
Oh, and all baked stuff is 50% off after 4 PM.

good prepared and self-​service foods, good pastries, but gets very busy at lunch

came here for some sweets while taking a lunch break during work and also got a salad. it was too sweet and a little overcharged. the salad was okay. nothing too special about it.

This branch of Au Bön Pain seems to have recently renovated and perhaps still has some growing pains. While it’s nice that there are separate lines for salads & sandwiches, I don’t see the point of waiting for a clerk to type out the order on a complicated iPad form when there are people behind the counter who can take the order (a system which has worked for decades, nay, centuries before the dawn of the iPad). Overall it’s a bog standard Au Bön Pain made more frustrating but an odd ordering system.
