Saw this show a few months ago with my roommate. Let’s just say I got an amazing ab workout from hysterically laughing (especially to the Barre Review rendition of Cell Block Tango). Also, I will never look at Severus Snape from Harry Potter the same way again. Definitely GO.

Blogologues is a must see. Unanimously the best comedy show I’ve ever been to! Don’t miss it, worth every penny!

#FANTASTIC! The content is brilliant and the performers are so talented. What a fun concept — performing the Internet. Every skit was laugh-​out-​loud funnier than the one before it. It’s clear that so much work, love, and rehearsal went into this one hour comedy/​musical/​dance/​theater extravaganza. RUN to catch this show — you will be delighted you did!
My husband and I are very choosy about how we spend our date nights that we need to get a babysitter for, and we felt this was so worth it — one of the funniest things we’ve seen in a long time.
Seriously, don’t be surprised if you see this cast on SNL one day — they are crazy talented!

Hilarious sketches by a diverse group of performers acting out the internet in all of its glory. I really enjoyed the experience and would definitely recommend it for dates, friend outings, or even going solo.
Important to note that they have a bar upfront so you can actually take your drink into the show with you.

Three shows later, still funny as hell. If you enjoy clever comedy, BE GOOD TO YOURSELF AND GO SEE BLOGOLOGUES.

I agree with the person who said a $ 20 show might give you the impression it’s better than it really is. The full price ticket for the show I attended over the weekend was $ 25 (so I guess the price has gone up), but if you bought tickets in advance it was $ 12.50 per person. My bf got our tickets in advance and thank god he did, because we would’ve felt hipped off if we had spent $ 50 total for what we got.
I have to say, the goodie bags they give you made the cost a lot more palatable. We got handcuffs, blindfolds, protein bars (which according to my boyfriend tasted gross as it was coconut and lime flavored), and some other sexy things.
We got there at 7:30 on the dot — the time the show was supposed to start– but the show didn’t actually start until a good 20 minutes later. The theater was packed when we arrived so we had to get seats in the very last row. The seats were sloped though so seeing the stage wasn’t a huge problem.
The crowd is a mixed bag, but majority 20’s, 30’s artsy, hipstery types — it would seem that a lot of the attendees were friends/​family of the 5 or 6 cast members.
The gist of the show is they steal. I mean, source, ‘funny’, ‘weird’ and ‘cooky’, material from the internet or people submit blog posts that fit those adjectives, and the cast act the scenes out or just recite the line (e.g. a twitter post).
The acting wasn’t bad (although there was a lot of HAMMING it up) but the material just failed to make me laugh. I’m also pretty sure the stories are not real — people will post anything on the internet for attention (e.g. the reddit posted story about the list of reasons a woman wouldn’t have sex with her husband wasn’t funny and another post about a guy’s family singing him happy birthday while unbeknownst to them he was having intercourse with his girlfriend on the couch in the spooning position wasn’t funny or believable).
Basically, most of the stories were juvenile and as someone else said, the setup/​acting/​interludes reminded me of a high school drama production. There were dance routines and some crowd participation, but we lingered a little longer than most and realized that the people chosen to go up on stage were actually friends of the cast members (not that there’s anything wrong with that).
The show was an hour long and afterwards there was a randomly thrown in interview with a former dominatrix, who owned a sex slave? for 9 years. I didn’t get the point of this and it didn’t seem to have anything to do with the show.
To wrap things up, the beau and I didn’t get the appeal and t probably wouldn’t recommend this show to people we know. I also would definitely NOT recommend doing this for a date with someone you don’t know.
That being said, a lot of people seemed to enjoy themselves so depending on your humor, you might find it worthwhile to attend. At the very least, it’s not a terrible way to pass some time.

Love the concept of taking material from the Internet and enacting it. One moment I wondered if anyone could actually have made it up, then I’m reminded that most are real stories (if you believe the Internet!). The cast is talented, dedicated, and hilarious. Worth a watch if you want to laugh hard and have a good time.

Hilarious show. I’ve now been to three of them and can’t recommend it enough. It’s awkward, it’s funny, it’s a little absurd. It’s a wild time like nothing else in the city.

This show is consistently hilarious. All of the cast are great performers, and their command of the material makes for a terrific show. Don’t miss their annual show about sex!

I’ve seen the Blogologues A.S.S. twice and the show is consistently hilarious and fun to watch. Few comedy shows make me laugh out loud as frequently as this one. Expect humor that is off beat, scandalizing and at times crass. The A.S.S. show may not be for everyone, but if you have an open mind, you’re very likely to enjoy yourself. I saw people here of all genders and ages, so don’t worry about not being able to relate to the internet-​based content. Pretty amazing what weird stuff the Blogologues crew finds on the web…

The Blogologues cast continues to raise the bar with each performance as they act out Internet bits gathered from all corners of the World Wide Web. I guarantee this show will leave you gasping for breath in-​between laughs, cringing with discomfort at the scenes’ amazing awkwardness and provide an enlightened mind as you depart the theatre. Blogologues is one of those off-​the-​beaten-​path Saturday evening shows that you’ll continuously revisit with friends as the cast introduces an entirely new theme each season. If you’re fascinated by human behavior, believe in laughter, enjoy painfully awkward situations, and support talented artisans perfecting their craft, then you won’t be disappointed — and if that doesn’t describe you, then it would be best to just stay in your Murray Hill/​midtown apartment.

A collection of genuine posts brought to life by a creative talented energetic cast. Hysterical! Brilliant! Tickets are affordable! Go once. Go twice (I did)! Great bar and snacks too.

The Blogologues was one of the most entertaining things I have done in NYC to date! The cast is HILARIOUS, and I did not want the show to end. I saw the Land Before Timelines and if you are in your 20’s, 30’s, 40’s or older there is something that will hit home with you and crack you up! The whole concept is pretty genius.
If you are looking for something new and fun to do in the city THIS IS IT! Also, the tickets are really affordable and for a night out with drinks and laughs, that is priceless. I can’t wait to this is again!

If you’re looking for some unoriginal, sleepy, and dry theatre, don’t go to Blogologues.
If you’re looking to laugh and laugh and laugh some more, RUN to the next performance.
It’s a pretty simple premise – acting out the internet – executed very well.
My colleagues and I went to see Blogologues’ «Welcome to the jungle» on Saturday night. The actors are in sync, creative, talented, and committed. The show was one of the funniest, most imaginative pieces of theatre I’ve ever seen (and I went to theatre school). The audience is completely immersed in a colorful, hilarious, and wildly inappropriate world.
Added bonus: audience members receive a goody bag full of really useful and pricey gifts! What show in Manhattan pays for your ticket via gifts?!
Seriously, stop reading these reviews and go already. It’s $ 20. Come. On.

Several years ago while on the set of a picture starring Dom DeLuise and Dabney Coleman, I received an urgent note from my dear friend Jerry Weintraub saying that Harvey and Bob Weinstein were interested in optioning my Unilocal review of Citibike to turn into some verkakte comedy sketch. Naturally, as a serious author and artist, I was resistant to the idea of having my work trivialized and exploited for a cheap laugh, but as a personal favor to Brandon Tartikoff (alav haShalom), I took the meeting.
So I arrived at The Polo Lounge with an open mind ready to make a deal if the money was right. The negotiations were difficult as they refused my only two conditions: first, that I retain total creative control, and second that only Charo, Shadow Stevens, Lark Voorhies or any member of the Sons of Lee Marvin could depict me. In the end, their obstinance and our overall creative differences, led me to pass.
So the project was on hold and almost didn’t happen until I got an email from some washed-​up Yalie named Alli Goldberg promising to make me a star. I had never heard of her, but she claimed to be the guy behind the guy to such legends as Delta Burke, Bob De Niro, and Ruth Buzzi. Her exaggerated hand gestures and chain smoking Pall Mall habit, combined with the enticing scent of Shalimar, made me putty in her hands. So I said yes… and the rest is comedic history:
