A wonderful evening of theater set at the end of the Cold War in Afghanistan/Pakistan/Washington and involving the CIA/MI6/KGB/ISI. Spy vs. Spy. The betrayal, loyalty, friendship and trust of the characters are key. Blood & Gifts is excellent theater and gives interesting insight into a difficult area of the world. Also, the intimacy of the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater makes this even more enjoyable. There is an insert in the program, which gives a short historical background. Read it. It is very helpful. Do not miss this one.
