Got a Groupon for this place. Showed up for my 11am appointment and no one was there. Buzzed up, no answer. Called them, no answer. Finally a construction worker let’s me into the filthy building, I make it upstairs, and the door is locked. When I called later to get an explanation, the secretary simply told me she was there since 10:30. No apology and definitely not true. I give it one star, but I never made it in the door. And I never will. Fortunately, Groupon gave me a full refund.

I’ve tried a few beauty clinics in the city. By far this has been the best experience. I had a facial, a peel and a microderm in chest and neck (because I get bumps, that are not a big deal, but I notice them) and my skin is so different. I made a plan and will come back every month because at my 30s I can’t let my face look dry and old. I absolutely recommend going at least every 2 months. My face is so smooth, soft and radiant. They have great promotions.

I was recommended to D-​hairemoval from a co-​worker who had a microderm package. I signed up for a coupon and they emailed me back with a first time user deal which was super discounted. I scheduled the appointment on my birthday. When i woke up that day with a sore back and was almost an hour late (I was so embarrassed) they were nothing but GRACIOUS and kind. They could have turned me away and i would have understood but rather catered to me. They also threw in a glycolic peel for 50% off. Leslie who did both the glycolic and microderm was so nice and helpful. I didn’t feel pressured to buy any products and we chatted about makeup and skin care tips which i appreciated. After the session finished, she mentioned a package and told me the benefits and i was sold. I bought a 3-​session package with her and will probably buy another package when my 3 sessions run out. Overall i had a great experience and will be recommending this place to my co-​workers.

An amazing experience and already seeing results! Coming from an inexperience person with facials, I highly recommend D-​Hair Removal for a micro + peel. In just one day I can already see results and feel much better about myself. I can tell I will be «glowing» by the weekend.
The staff is extremely friendly and will walk you thought each step and make you feel very comfortable, asking if I had any questions the entire time.
I have called back and booked a second treatment for next week.

This place is essentially useless. Why? Because the laser hair removal doesn’t work. I am fair with dark hair – a perfect candidate for hair removal. It was a complete waste of time and the primary person who i worked with over my 9 sessions was way too familiar with me. I want the person zapping me with a laser to be a professional, not one of my girlfriends. Yes, its nice when the dentist asks how your dog is doing or whatever, but there’s a big difference between that and someone talking to you about their boyfriend’s preferences on pubic hair. It was a complete waste of time and money and I would never go here again.

I recently scored a Groupon deal for hair removal and I’m so happy that the company was D-​hairemoval! I was pleasantly surprised on my initial visit as to how quick the whole process was, they have flexible hours and you’re in and out very quickly.
Shanthal who was my laser tech was great, she was really sweet and did an awesome job keeping me comfortable throughout the procedure… I went back a 2^nd time and still have one more session left, I’ve scheduled them all with Shanthal since she’s been so great. If you can land a Groupon for hair removal at this place, go for it, if not, the prices are still pretty reasonable and I think flexible for first time visits. Check it out and ask for Shanthal.

I was once with Grupon deal, the place is clean, the service is nice; but, the mid/​large area it is just a size of Hot-​dog, so forget about half of legs, all what you can get is front of your foot. i thin the most worst was the selling product process (10 minus of my no no no for any of her prices, …when I was half nude) No manners. So, if you shop for any the cosmetic treatment with out the your cloths — this perfect place to be

I came here for a Brazilian wax with a Lifebooker deal, but I also came because I am considering laser hair removal and this place is a very convenient location for me and I wanted to test the waters, so to speak, before dropping hundreds of dollars on a package. I would have been a very easy sell, all they had to do was a quick, hygienic wax that made me feel like they knew what they were doing, and I seriously would have dropped $ 400 that day on 6 treatments. Instead I spent about 50 minutes on the table, having hair slowly torn out of my body in the tiniest, most painful swatches imaginable. I left with a sloppy landing strip, my coochie still COVERED in wax, and running very late. Oh, and SHE DOUBLE DIPPED. Disgusting. I am not letting anyone here anywhere near my lady bits with a laser. I will find somewhere else.

Yes, Gina. Gina, Gina, Gina. She’s the sweetest! Hilarious and down to earth staff. They didn’t try to up sell me like some of the other reviews stated. I went for laser treatment for bikini line and had great results. No mas hair down there. I just adore these ladies.

I bought a groupon I believe for this lazer spot and am very glad I did! The staff (Esther and Gina) are very very friendly, approachable, efficient and great to chat to. They both feel like friends that I would/​could hang out with outside of the clinic.
Esther the beautiful spanish receptionist, is very accommodating especially since I have had to reschedule a few times.
Gina, my technician, is very easy to get along with and genuinely cares about how the treatment is working and often texts me to follow up.
I would definitely recommend this place because of the good service, the good people and the good vibe. I have noticed a remarkable difference in my hair growth (and trust me, I have a LOT of hair!) I will return in the future, even to just stop by and say hello.

WARNING: This company does not provide laser hair removal services to people with high melanin levels. If your skin is olive, brown or dark, do not bother!
I purchased a deal from Amazon Deals and scheduled an appointment for laser hair removal. This is a procedure that I have gotten every 2 ½ months for almost a year now. Upon arrival, the office was sweltering. It was only 75 degrees outside, but inside, it had to be every bit of 85. Anyway. I introduced myself to the receptionist, told her that I had an appointment, was a new client and needed to fill out the paperwork. The receptionist was completely frazzled, disoriented and unorganized. Maybe it was the heat. Who knows? I mean the girl was just all over the place! Suddenly the manager came out, took one look at me and then immediately went behind closed doors with the receptionist. They came out a few minutes later and the manager started working with a client who had been waiting before me. Once they left, the receptionist pulled me into a room behind closed doors (uuuummm, yeah) and explained to me that the machine that they use does not work on skin with high amounts of melanin. In other words, they are unable to service people of color. She also told me that had I come in for a consultation prior to scheduling my appointment, they would have explained this to me. (How about THEY add this very important piece of information to the fine print of the deals that they advertise instead of wasting people’s time!) Maybe they don’t in an effort to not offend. No offense taken. But my time was certainly wasted!
Not being able to cater to the masses is just bad business in my opinion. Especially in a city like New York whom everyone knows is a melting pot. Everyone except the owner of D-​hairemoval Beauty Concept that is. Amazon Deals granted me my refund immediately with no questions asked.

D-​hairemoval has a very professional staff who are über friendly and are always happy to be helpful in any way that they can. As busy as they are I have never had a problem when I needed an appointment change or had questions about the treatments.
Gina has been my laser technician for a while now and I would never go to anyone else. She makes an otherwise awkward situation as comfortable as possible and is very knowledgable about what she does and a very genuine person. I really can’t say enough about the staff here!
I always refer friends to D-​hairemoval, especially those who have had undesirable or awkward experiences elsewhere. A friend of mine was going to a laser center in Long Island, and it was a quick in-​and-​out, extremely awkward with no real interaction and they kind of brushed her off. She has had one or two appointments at D-​hairemoval now and has thanked me a million times for sending her there. (Not to mention you get free treatments for referrals!). 5 stars, y’all.

I redeemed a Life Booker coupon here and I must say it should be avoided. This place is very sketchy. While the girl who performed my facial, mind you the only staff member present, was very knowledgable and spirited, the treatment was not desirable. The whole facial peel ‘experience’ took all of 12 minutes and I am not exaggerating. There was no dimly lit room, no soft music, no massage, just raw, quick, slap it on, wipe it off its over. Then I was sweetly offered a ‘deal’ for a package of 6 more of what could only be described as a 7^th grade quality spa party facial. I could not believe it when she explained to me that the regular price for each facial was $ 150! Sorry I’m not sorry.

I bought a groupon for a facial for 39 dollars. All they did was put steam on me, barely did any extractions and then suckered me into buying a mask that I could buy on Amazon for ¹⁄₁₀^th the price. I will never go here again!
Yes the ladies were nice, but all they are trying to do is sell sell sell without giving you attentive service.

I found this place online and decided to try it out. So far it’s going we’ll. I’ve purchase several of their package since their price is decent compare to other places I’ve being to. The procedures for hair removal are not painful as the one I’m going to before I came here. I don’t know why certain people are adding such awful review maybe they don’t really know what they’re talking about. The staff is awesome and I will recommend anyone to come here.

This place is a GEM among med-​spas in New York. I’ve been going here for almost 5 months now, regularly getting microdermabrasion and IPL treatments and my skin has never looked better! I was starting to see those fine lines and sun spots (I’m in my late 20s, and while I’ve always been religious about SPF, I still was seeing the damage). Now my skin is even and GLOWING. The results of working with D-​hairemoval have blown away my expectations.
As if the treatment’s results weren’t enough reason to love this place, the esthetician I’ve seen, Gina, is AMAZING. Most of the time, med-​spas are pretty no nonsense, especially somewhere with prices as great as D-​hairemoval. Gina takes her time, and incorporates the most wonderful facial massages into her treatments. I’ve had facials all over the world with price tags 5x what I pay at D-​hairemoval, and her technique is on par with the best I’ve ever experienced. I want to take this girl home with me, she’s wonderful!
I feel the need to comment on the negative review below, I just don’t know what this girl is talking about! I’ve NEVER felt pressured or oversold, not in the 6 or so times I’ve had treatments. The only add on I’ve been offered, and taken, was a certain peel because I was breaking out, and it totally worked and cleared my spots. That’s not being pressured to buy more treatments, that’s an expert looking out for my best skinterest!
Yes, so I’m maybe a bit obsessed with this place. If I could have invested in it, I would have. Great space, great treatments, and the most wonderful women running what a small business in NYC should be!

I purchased a Lifebooked deal based on reviews here. I agree the place is clean but regarding the service I can t say more the Meh. I got 99 $ deal for IPL facial, microdermabrasion and peel. Peel was 30%. It was my very first time doing peel ever! Now I know what it means: your face been washed with water and cleaned up with super soft sponges. Sponges were good and did I said soft:)? The women performing the procedure had very soft hands and I have a feeling she is giving good basic facials. I won’t doubt the reviews about having amazing massages during facials. Most likely its true. That was the only positive side.
From WedMD: «IPL supposedly must darken sun spots and later fade out if procedure done right.» I experienced nothing. No peeling, no darkening, no itching, no brighter face during, right after or days after the treatment. I waited full week before posting this review. I always have very realistic expectations.. I might not get the whole cake but that tiny bite should make me want to go for more. I should see something even for 99 $. Btw the package of 6 IPL is only 400 $. So 99 $ is not like 9 $.
Workers are friendly. True. They also almost nailed me to the wall by the force with which they tried to sell me extra products. I am talking about gold mask. All with warm and friendly smile.
During my «consultation» I was asked: What year I was burned? Do I use SPF everytime? Did I used SPF on the day I burned my forehead? Do I use anything with acid that might be photo sensitive? «How often i do facials?” — „like one every 6 months“, i said, „but i want to find a good spa so I can go every month“. -„oh, you spending so much on treatments! „You should come to us“, the lady answer. Leaving me puzzled again. „Once in 6 months is too much? Maybe she misunderstood me“, I thought, „she probably think iI said 6 times per month“. I was told I need 4 – 6 IPL sessions. The lady confirmed I should see some brightness and my skin will pill lightly on day #2.
Before treatment they asked of my skin type. I said its on the dry side. The lady immediately walked out, leaving me with a puzzled face expression again, to come back holding a $ 100 gold deep moisturizing mask. During the treatment I was reminded I need 4 – 6 sessions. it was not comfortable to talk having a fat layer of cooling substance on my face but I reply:-“ I might consider it after we finish this one». The lady walked out again leaving the door fully open (such a weird feeling, no privacy) to come back saying since I want 6 sessions the gold mask would cost me only $ 20. I wonder when my «I will think about» turned into «I want» as well as if they split this mask for 5 customers to make some profit or is this mask is to expire soon…
When asked about my skin type I always say its on the dry side because its the truth but I never said I suffer from it. I have some very good creams to keep my skin well hydrated.
I am buying cheap deals not because I am cheap but because I have a big list of services I would like to have on regular basis but before I go for all I always want to see a sample of work. I am looking to establish a long term relationship.
I have Dantist whom I recommend to about 12 – 15 people who are regular in his office, I myself know him for 10 years. I have amazing hair colorist who is the only one who can touch my hair. I have amazing OB-​Gyn. I have a wizzard lady for bikini waxing whom I visit once a month. All this people gave me amazing service on the very first day. They worked on discount basis like there was no discount at all. Unfortunately I can’t find a med spa I can go to for years. I do have one for facials.
Instead of pressing people to buy extra services they rather give good treatments, I know if I had all the symptoms WebMD mentioned i should have if procedure done correctly, this place would have a happy customer in my face for years to come and I probably would require more services each year since I am not getting younger.
I have one treatment left and I am afraid to go there. Truly.

Pss. My main photo is my very «dry», «wrinkled» and very sun burned skin. Photo was taken on Oct 18, 2012 havind concealer for under eyes only. I need no advices. Being 31 years old, healthy/​eat-​as-​much-​as-​I-​want 112 lbs nutritionist, yoga and fitness instructor, I am my own pretty good advisor on how I should look and what I should receive. Some times its funny to see that people think I am 24 – 26 and act like I must be thrilled to hear advises of «older and more experienced» women. Sorry guys, my looks are living proof I am doing good on my own.

My roommate and I are both big fans of this place for its facial services. Ask for Gina, she is the loveliest woman and will spend a lot of time caring for your face and getting your skin to where you want it to be. I’ve had multiple facials with her and my skin looks better than it ever has in my life. I have nothing but good things to say!
