Working with Dana, Radika and Kim was, without exception, the best purchasing experience I have ever had. They are skilled and knowledgeable about their craft, but that is only the beginning. I have never known someone who could take a vague description from a nervous groom to be, and create the exact ring that he imagined. I am a perfectionist and would accept nothing but the perfect ring for my bride. Dana Walden was the seventh jeweler I spoke to while trying to create the perfect engagement ring, but the first, and only, I felt I could trust with the task. I used a precious diamond that was left to me by my grandmother. Only impeccable taste and beauty would be appropriate for both my grandmother and my bride. Dana took my loose concept and created something truly and perfectly beautiful. The ring they created was exactly the ring I wanted to propose with, and I can never fully describe just how much that means to me. Dana is an artist without compare and an exceptional person to do business with. If you are looking to create a unique and exceptional ring for the women you love, Dana is the person to do it. My (now) fiancé and I visited Dana and Rad a few months before he proposed. They had pre-​selected some styles for us to look at in advance and helped me pinpoint what I was looking for — without being overbearing and really taking into account the simple style I was interested in. I had been a little nervous going in but they couldn’t have been more calming and made the process so easy and fun! I didn’t choose an exact ring but they helped me figure out a few basic things i liked, and my fiancé did the rest. The ring he gave me this past December was so much more gorgeous than I could have imagined. It’s delicate and beautifully made, and every time I look at it I really feel like it was made just for me. I’d so so highly recommend them for a truly personal and rewarding experience.

Dana and Rad are the bee’s knees, the cat’s pajamas, and the canary’s tusks. My fiancée and I made the decision to shop for rings together and had appointments with several other ethically conscious jewelers before finding Dana and Rad, who were the right fit for what we were looking for.
They are both super knowledgeable about jewelry and aesthetics but still made us feel at ease during the appointment. The pressure to find the perfect ring felt during appointments at other places was gone and this appointment was fun and relaxed. After I tried on most of the rings on the table I tried on something I was initially drawn to but didn’t think was my style. I fell in love instantly and the ring fit my finger perfectly. I really didn’t want to take it off and a few months later my boyfriend couldn’t wait to surprise me with it!
The rings themselves are beautiful and unique, updating classic styles with a modern twist. I couldn’t be happier with how my custom ring turned out (the Sienna with an Aquamarine in platinum) and we can’t wait to return to shop for our wedding bands.

It was a really great experience working with Dana and Rad in finding our perfect engagement ring. We didn’t really know much as to what we wanted and what to really look for in an engagement ring. All we know was that we wanted to get a very unique and beautiful piece from a respectable and ethical designer/​jeweler. Dana Walden Bridal had that and more!
Dana and Rad were such a pleasure to work with and we could not be happier with our choice. Because we didn’t really know what we were looking for, they were both very patient and met with us a couple times until we knew all of our options.

When my now-​fiancée and I started discussing our plans for the future, I knew I wanted her to be involved in choosing the ring. I asked her to start looking online for something suited to her style, and the first website she found with her unique criteria was Dana Walden Bridal. She absolutely fell in love with Dana and Rad’s designs, and when we looked at their Unilocal page, we were amazed at all the glowing 5 star reviews. We knew that we just had to schedule an appointment. Once we arranged a meeting to look at some of their engagement rings, we instantly knew why every review raved about them, and it was clear that our search for the perfect ring would start and end with Dana and Rad. They immediately put us at ease when we first met, never rushing us even when we went a little over time, even though they had a tight schedule. They happily answered any and all questions about the rings and their process.
We had a fairly solid idea of which rings my fiancée was interested in, but they let us take the time to look at the wide variety of styles they offered, never pressuring us to change our minds or go out of our budget. In fact, they worked hard to keep us within our budget while helping us nail down the details for her perfect ring. The crafting time was on the shorter end of their estimate, even though it was one of their busy seasons. It turned out to be everything my fiancée wanted, and more, as I asked them add a custom engraving on the stem (which turned out fantastic).
We couldn’t be happier to have had Dana and Rad craft our ring and we are so thrilled with their work that we can’t wait to go back for our wedding bands! All of our family and friends are blown away when my fiancée shows off her gorgeous ring – even the highly experienced photographer I hired for the proposal gasped in awe and exclaimed, «I’ve never seen a ring like that!» Dana and Rad’s customer service and level of craftsmanship is top notch and I wouldn’t consider anyone else when you’re looking for finely crafted jewelry for a special occasion. They are some of the nicest, most generous people we’ve ever met and done business with, and it was such a pleasure working with them to create my fiancée’s perfect ring.

I bought an engagement ring from Dana Walden, and I could not be happier with my choice. I actually live in Tennessee, which may seem strange considering Dana’s shop is in New York. I wanted to surprise my girlfriend with the ring of her dreams without involving her in the process. Through a combination of bridesmaids’ help and my girlfriend’s Pinterest board, I knew what type of ring she wanted. After looking around locally, however, I was not sure if I could find one that worked. I had a few uncomfortable customer experiences, so I decided to look online to see if I could find what she wanted.
Luckily, the ring she had posted on her board several times happened to have the name of the company who made it: Dana Walden. So I decided to check them out. What stood out to me the most was that their customer reviews online were excellent. The process was extremely easy, and their customer service was top notch. What blew me away was that after I had already ordered the ring, the bridesmaid’s informed me that I had ordered the wrong color gold. I panicked and wrote an email begging to have it changed at the last minute. They kindly responded that it was not an issue even though they had already processed the order, and I was not charged anything for the change.
Once the ring arrived, I was blown away by just how perfect it matched what they showed online, and when I finally proposed my fiancée was blown away. I could not be happier with the customer service that I received from Dana Walden (the ring even came with a card and small gift!!!) and with the quality of the diamonds and ring that we received. We are so happy with it that we refused to shop elsewhere for her wedding ring and I am in the process of ordering it from Dana Walden as we speak!

I chose Dana & Rad to design a custom made engagement ring for my fiancé. Dana & Rad are such amazing designers that I wanted to work with them even though I live in Berlin and all our correspondence had to be conducted by phone and email. They designed a halo, platinum ring with a yellow sapphire center stone. The ring is spectacular and my fiancé absolutely LOVED it. I’m pretty certain that there aren’t many simililar style rings in Berlin. It’s timeless and classy but at the same time stylish and fashionable. Dana and Rad did a perfect job with designing the ring. They are highly professional and trustworthy. I love their philosophy to work with recycled metals and conflict free stones.

Working with Dana and Rad is like hanging out with a very cool, very creative couple at a party. They’re experienced, knowledgeable, oh-​so-​cultured and mature and still manage to make strangers feel like old friends. For a non-​visual person like myself, the process of designing a custom ring for a very picky fiancé could have been a disaster. Instead, Dana and Rad listened to my suggestions, assuaged my fears, tolerated my poorly worded descriptions and managed to deliver exactly what both I and my fiancé wanted. They even took into account the theme of my proposal and the vision I had for the ring (both which I explained in copious metaphor) and incorporated it into the look and feel of the design. My fiancé and I (who each got rings from them) were so thrilled with their work that we’re going back for our wedding bands! I cannot say enough about these two. They are talents, craftsmen and masters.

We found them online and scheduled an appointment in person after reading about their philosophy and methods of working. They use 100% recycled metals, which is unheard of, and they manage their supply chain very closely, so they understand exactly where and who their gems are coming from. They also work in a variety of lab created stones that I have to say, are more beautiful than some of their mined counterparts. We met with Dana & Rad in their studio and were immediately at ease. They were completely warm and friendly, not pushy in the least, and didn’t put one ounce of pressure on us to increase our very modest budget. They said — we’ll figure out how to make it work — and they did!
Everything they do is custom, even if you are getting one of their already created designs, so it gives you the opportunity to do custom at a much lower cost and stress level and headache than usual. We went in, tried on all sorts of different things and talked with them to say — we kind of like this metal, but not this part of this ring, and that stone, and this part of the other ring, and maybe make it a little more vintage looking, etc. They totally understood our vision (which to be fair, was absolutely zero when we first walked in the door) and made it came perfectly to life. After our visit, they worked with my fiancée to figure out exactly what he was going to order, sent him some drawings/​renderings, and then took the leap and started creating it in their beautiful workshop in Maine.
My ring is beautiful, timeless, and absolutely perfect for us, most importantly because we had an amazing experience and have great memories of designing it together with Dana & Rad. I knew I would love it but can’t believe how many compliments I get, from friends and strangers alike.

If you are going to buy an engagement ring in NYC don’t go anywhere else! Dana and Rad are truly amazing. I tried working with a diamond dealer and I went to the diamond district and both experiences were absolutely awful. Then I found Dana and Rad and not only did they make me feel so comfortable and educated me on the process, but they built the most BEAUTIFUL ring imaginable. My Fiancé is absolutely obsessed with it (as are all of her friends) and it is so unbelievably well done.
If you want to just show up to a store and buy a ring you can do that, but if you want a truly special gift that is personalized for your loved one, was made with care and passion, then go to Dana and Rad.

We were first drawn to their work because of the recycled metals and natural inspirations behind some of the works. We set up our appointment, but could not have been ready for all that came next … It was as if we made an appointment to make two new friends — whom would also be designing and creating our rings! Dana and Rad are two of the nicest and most patient New Yorkers you will ever meet.
In every appointment, they made us feel like we were their only client — taking time to get to know us, as well as our ideas for our rings. They took into account everything from customizations to budgets to our schedules. We never once felt pushed into anything that wasn’t 100% us.
I’m a bit too reserved to go into the details — this is part of the ‘magic’, but I will tell you that we are forever thankful to Dana and Rad. Let me begin by saying, the week after I gave the ring to my (then) girlfriend she said she couldn’t imagine designing a more beautiful ring even if she was part of the process from the beginning. A big compliment from a fashion designer!
I was looking for someone who I felt could bring me into their creative process and listen to what I was looking for but also push back if I was asking for something crazy. Working with Dana and Rad was an absolute pleasure and we found that balance immediately.
In our first meeting I just wanted to see if I felt comfortable working with them so we could take it from there but I left knowing they were the ones that I wanted to create our ring.
This was a surprise proposal so I went to Dana and Rad with a infosheet about my girlfriend, some mood board imagery and also some rings that I liked from their website. When I arrived they had all those rings ready for me to look at and a selection of other rings for me to look at based on what I was looking for.
They were also amazing at picking out a diamond for me. They even gave us a third-​party evaluation of the diamond for free (something you need for insurance) which was higher than they sold it to me for.
If there was anything that was going to move the pricing above my range they were never pushy but always explained what the value would be and left the choice entirely up to me.
Once we’d decided on a ring and diamond I couldn’t wait to not only give it to my girlfriend but also bring her to meet Dana and Rad for a (free!) sizing.
