The employees are rude, they think they’re slick. I walked in there and they started talking about me in spanish thinking I didn’t know spanish. I know none of these girls, found it very disrespectful but aside from the stupid employees the food and drinks are great.

The employees are super friendly and when you ask them for suggestions, they have no problem suggesting! Love the variety of fruits and veggies!

Decent place. Great prices for portions. The place doesn’t have a menu so you create your own. I got a large cup for 5 $, although the it was a really bitter. Hard to finish the whole thing.
No seats available inside, it’s basically a hall way.

They got the usual array of fruits to make shakes as well as some veggies for the «extreme» Veggie shake drinker.
But even better than that? their fried empanadas !

Other than that a pretty decent spot.

i don’t really understand why places like jamba juice exist. or, places like those really expensive juice-​selling carts downtown. why should juice be so expensive? fruit-​opia does it right! reasonably priced juices packed with generous helpings of fruit and ice. i’ve taken a number of trips to brazil in my life, and there, the juice drinking culture is very strong. on nearly every corner, there is a place to get fresh, natural juices, uncomplicated, cheap, and be on your way. i’m glad elements of this type of culture are arriving in new york, but the prices at most of the places downtown and chained are extortionary. i get the feeling that people don’t realize that making juice is all about putting fruit in a blender. we can all do this. you go out to get the juice because the juice place might have an assortment of fruits that you don’t have, or because you’re feeling a bit lazy — not because it is some magical thing that can only be achieved by «juice technicians» or the like. fruit-​opia respects this reality rather than try to make juice out to be more than what it is: $ 4 for a large, $ 3 for a small… a defining feature of this place, however — a trait more or less shared with all uptown juice houses — is that their default way of preparing the juice includes evaporated milk (which i guess makes it more of a smoothie), cinnamon, some drops of vanilla, and sugar. it sounds like a lot of stuff that complicates a beverage that would otherwise be the exact same experience of reaching up to a tree and sucking on its fruits. it is not my personal preference to always have the juices loaded down with so much stuff. but, i simply ask to not have all that stuff in my juice and no-one’s offended, no-one’s confused, and i get a large cup full of blended mangoes, watermelons, etc.

Everytime I go visit relatives Uptown, I visit this place. The smoothies are fantastic as well as the empanadas. Their fruit is fresh and the servers are great to deal with!

Best smoothies ever, they are not to sweet & you have different choices if you wanna add extra stuff in it. Very filling if you drink one you won’t eat a meal for an extended time period. If you’re in inwood please stop by, you won’t regret it

The good news: they expanded!
The bad news: they changed the name and I can’t remember to what!
I’ve been coming to this smoothie establishment for at least a year now, as I find myself in Inwood fairly often. They have nearly every fruit imaginable, which you can order in any combination, with your choice of milk or sugar.
I also noticed they put cinnamon in smoothies, which adds a faint and tasty tang to the smoothies. I’m a fan of their strawberry banana smoothies. So creamy and delicious with condensed milk– it barely lasts a few blocks before it’s gone.
They have empanadas which are good (not as good as Empanadas Monumental though), and sandwiches. I have yet to try a sandwich from them! I should.
Brotip: They also understand English. Don’t be scared!

there were many people lined up in this little hole in the wall place. had the beef empanada. it had a nice flakey crust with a well seasoned beef filling. the menu isn’t translated but you can get the gist of what’s going on and what they’ve got.
will want to try a smoothie since I saw them making it with evaporated milk!

I love coming here for smoothies. They make smoothies with evaporated milk, which totally depletes the nutritional value, but the smoothies taste so good!
I usually get a mix of strawberry, pineapple and mango. It’s great picking up a smoothie on my way to the 207^th Street (1) station.
