This tax accountant has been one of the worst service experiences I ever had and I would strongly advise everybody to look for someone else. After some initial talks that made me believe everything was in order Mr Duckett stopped responding to any kind of communication a month before the taxes were due. Despite his email signature encouraging you to not hesitate to contact him if you have any questions he wouldn’t answer to any of multiple emails and phone calls any more. I only received an email right before taxes were due. It only included a link to electronic filing that would work after I paid the charge that was 150% of the amount of his actual quote. Email questions remained unanswered. Personal visits to his office were impossible for he works alone from home and the doorman wouldn’t let you in. So I had to pay the over prized fee if I wanted my taxes to get done in time. In one of the earlier emails Mr Duckett had told me that the IRS would contact me and let me know how to pay my taxes. Complete BS. Well I was contacted by the IRS at one point. A letter telling me that my taxes had not been paid, and a late payment fee. I was never able to get in contact with this very expensive tax accountant again and he never sent me my copy of the tax return which I had to get from the IRS myself by spending 2 days on the phone. Some information he had given me turned out to be completely wrong, some were just bad advice some legally questionable. Several of his wrong claims will continue to screw up my taxes into the next years. Do yourself a favor and have your taxes done by someone else. 1 star is already too much for this guy.

I’m reluctant to even give this guy one star. Honestly, he deserves negative stars, because he’s essentially a criminal. I’m reporting him to the IRS for failing to complete the services we paid for. On top of being totally unreachable for MONTHS, once we finally did get in touch with him, he was rude, offensive and without any regard for service. He charged more than he quoted and I never even received my return from him. It took months of calling the IRS to find out that it had ever even been filed (late, mind you).
Everyone should avoid this jerk like the plague. There are WAY better accountants out there (he doesn’t even deserve the title, frankly) for a fraction of the cost.

unprofressional; disregard for my time (my schedule is very tight and complicated). Appointment was canceled after being there almost 20 mins. After all that manuveuring on my end to be ready and on time for my appointment and i didnt even get my taxes done. what a waste of time.

I’ve used Turbo Tax, Jackson Whatever his name is, H&R ROCK and they all pale in comparison to DFS. Brandon (the owner) is so nice and easy going, its like having my friend do my taxes. Not only does he do my taxes fast but he always has good financial advice and is always looking for ways to get more money back.
Once you go there, you’ll feel like you’ve known him your whole life.
