Tracie Bennett was amazing! It takes a strong actress to play the very emotionally challenged Judy Garland. You don’t have to be a Garland fan to truly appreciate this production.

This play truly captures the essence of Judy Garland in her last days — everything from her substance abuse, relationships with men and burnt out career.
Tracie Bennett (Judy) is by far one of the top actresses I’ve seen in a very long time. Her voice is amazing and she possesses a great stage presence, bringing sadness, laughter and genuine character to the role.
The acting is great and the story is cohesive. I truly felt like I knew Judy, wanting to rush home after the show and learn more about her life.

Such a heartbreaking story… such a beautiful and talented woman, whose talent and energy was so great, everyone took advantage of her and made money off her. Finally when they had her addicted to pills and alcohol and she needed help, they turned their backs on her. Tracie Bennett gives such a convincing and multi-​dimensional performance, she is truly mesmerizing. Tracie is an amazing actor and a beautiful singer. Everyone was in tears at the end, being so moved by Judy’s sad story as Tracie so sensitively portrayed it. One of the best performance’s I’ve seen… a must see on Broadway.

This is by far one of thee best productions on Broadway right now. It opened on April 2^nd of this year to rave reviews and deservedly so. Tracie Bennett gives a tour de force performance as Judy Garland in her last few months battling the scars of fame via substance abuse only to suffer more, deeper pain as result. The emotion, raw fear and gutsy performances by Ms. Bennett are worth the price alone. Of course, the extra treat is that the supporting cast of Tom Pelphrey as Mickey Deans and TV actor Michael Cumpsty as her pianist round out a superbly cast set of actors who will hold your attention for the 2+ hour show.
There are lots of laughs thanks to some great writing and when Bennett sings you are transported to another time, another era, another performer embodied in Judy Garland. Having grown up with my mom’s records and movies about Ms. Garland, I always thought there would never be another like her. That is, however, until I saw Tracie Bennett actually DO Judy Garland.
If Ms. Bennett does not win a Tony Award something is wrong not only with Broadway, but with the celestial heavens that sent us this great piece of theater.

A landmark performance by Tracie Bennett, whose singing, acting and movement captured Garland in humor, pathos and torment. Supporting players were great and the band cooked.

If you love Broadway you will love this show!
The story about Judy Garland is well known and to see the events that lead to her end in life played on a live stage is intriguing and emotional. I was on the edge of my seat.
The singing by is fantastic– Tracie Bennett has a fantastic voice.
The comedy is tops– funny lines throughout the play.
The acting is superb– wonderful acting.
End of the Rainbow is definitely a Tony Award winner!!!

This show is what Broadway should always strive for! It is a wonderful look into the darker part of the Garland story — with some of the most powerful moments I have seen on stage in years. The entire ensemble is fantastic and from the moments the lights come up, you will be transported to another time, and watch as an icon crumbles before your eyes. A very daring and inspired performance from Ms. Bennett, and the men around her thrive in the chaotic energy of Judy’s demise. Highly recommended!

That show was AMAZING. I was in tears by the end of the show. Tracie Bennett was really channeling Judy Garland’s spirit.
The show affected me a lot. I was crying all night thinking about Judy Garland. I felt sad for Garland. Tracie Bennett really portrayed Garland so well. Bennett brought me emotionally to a dark, lonely, drug and alcohol induced place where Garland was at the end of her life. Bennet touched me emotionally inside. Bennett is AMAZING as Judy Garland.
I was thinking about how when I was growing up watching Judy Garland movies. I used to watch them to make me happy or make me escape from where I didn’t want to be. Garland was always able to bring me out of my sad and lonely place. Garland entertained me and made me happy. All along Garland was sad, lonely and unloved. That is just so sad to me.
I remember when I was young I had a chance to see some of Garland’s TV shows and specials. I think they were reruns or documentaries that I was watching. My dad also had a lot of musicals and collected all kinds of video tapes. I remember thinking that Judy seemed sad or there was something wrong on the TV appearances. I understand it more as an adult.
Bennett really brought me to that place where Garland must have been and how it must have sorta been like for Garland. The entire cast of End of the Rainbow transported me.
It really was an amazing show. There was some humour in the play too. I was laughing at parts of the play. The music interludes were GREAT. The show is of a dark topic but the humour and some of the music broke into some of the darkness to not keep it too dark. It was such a great show. I would totally see it again.
This was a wonderful experience for me. This show touched me a lot in my heart. It was a very moving experience for me. I totally recommend to anyone who loves Garland. If you do not know of her background and just know her name. I suggest you reading up about her and then run to see this great show.

It didn’t even have to be about Judy Garland.
As I watched Ms Tracie Bennett forcefully essay the part of Judy Garland with her contralto, vaudeville and thespian skills, thoughts of Amy Winehouse and Whitney Houston came to my mind. The show could have been about them, give or take a few changes in songs, make-​up and choreography. Let me be clear, this is not to trivialize the lives of the above-​named amazing artists but to emphasize how effectively Ms. Bennett’s performance captured the depths of pain that seemed only alcohol or drugs can alleviate.
Ms. Bennett has that elusive quality of connecting with the audience, holding such connection and allowing them to see not the actor but the character being played. Her comedic timing was perfect, her on-​screen chemistry with other actors was palpable and her singing was passionate.
This show is what a Broadway musical is all about. Excellent actors, masterful orchestra and a cohesive plot. Although I didn’t live until after Ms. Garland had passed on, I consider it our loss if we do not know who Judy Garland is or that she is Liza Minnelli’s mom. As for me, I did wear red shoes to the show in her honor.
Watch this show! Ms. Bennett’s outstanding performance will make you want to see it again.
