Experience Thailand Annual Cultural Festival

«Experience Thailand» is an annual event that features various cultural activities and performances. This year it took place on September 13^th, 2015. This cultural festival itself was «free» and open to the general public from 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM. There were a wide array of booths that feature Thai vendors. There were also dancers who were flown in from Thailand for this event. And of course, a number of NYC Thai restaurants were there to serve Thai food.
I tried pad thai, dumplings, veggie rolls, and yellow curry rice. There were so many local restaurants there such as KIIN, SOMTUM DER, and I CE NY. The line at I CE NY was ridiculous. I stopped by at the booth and the staff was telling people to come back in 45 minutes because the demand was too high. In general, most of the plates (i.e. curry, pad thai) were priced at around $ 7. The veggie rolls and dumplings were priced at around $ 1. Drinks were at around $ 3. Everything was cash only.
It was crowded but I still got a chance to take a look at each vendor. I would suggest adding more standing tables for people to eat their food. Otherwise, a covered area might also be nice for the future because it was pouring for a good 20 minutes during the event and people had no place to go.
