3 Stars for the store quality. Product & merch wise, they’ve got a good selection.
–2 for customer service, the women’s section specifically: the associates all seemed too busy to ask if I needed help. One associate barely answered my question and went back to talking to another associate. I get it, it’s retail, but at least put some effort into your job when you’re there.

I came up to NYC to celebrate my husband’s 40^th birthday along with his best friend. Well, I brought the wrong kind of shoes to walk in NYC. I had blisters which made walking unbearable.
I came here and I got immediate service despite the fact that this location is right in the middle of heavy tourism.
I fell in love with my shoes immediately that I asked to wear the new pair along with new socks while I go in line to pay.
Wearing the right shoes does make a difference to enjoy NYC!
For such a busy store, this location was prompt with services and it was orderly.

Foot Locker war für mich, muss ich gestehen, bis zum Besuch in diesem Laden in der 34. Straße, völlig unbekannt. Desto mehr war ich angenehm überrascht, über die hier vorhandene Auswahl an Schuhen, sowie vor allem über die Preise, die trotz der zentralen Lage (direkt gegenüber von Macys), immer noch deutlich günstiger sind, als in Deutschland.
Als Mann verfügt man in der Regel, prinzipiell nur über eine Handvoll Schuhe. Aber die Auswahl und die Preise hier im Laden, konnten sogar mich dazu treiben, hier gleich zwar paar Schuhe zu kaufen.
Die Mitarbeiter in diesem Laden, waren ok freundlich, sehr jung und brachten geduldig immer wieder Schuhe zum ausprobieren aus dem Lager.
Markant war hier, das jeder ausgestellte Schuh, nicht als Paar ausgestellt wurde, sondern als Einzelstück, so das man jedesmal einen Mitarbeiter darum bitten musste, den zweiten Schuh aus dem Lager zu holen, wenn man Schuhe anprobieren wolle. Dies kostete natürlich jedesmal etwas Zeit.
Aufgrund dieses Systems, verfliegt einem irgendwann die Begeisterung zu diesem Laden, so das ich hier nur 3 bis 4 Sterne vergeben kann. Ein Pluspunkt stellt die Auswahl und die Preise der Schuhe dar, an denen die bisher mir bekannten deutschen Foot Locker leider nicht heran reichen.
Wer in Manhattan im Vergleich zu Deutschland, günstige Markenschuhe kaufen möchte, der sollte hier sein Glück finden können.

I came here to buy running shoes and I got unparalleled customer service. I’m one of those people of the belief that if you are going to buy sports related gear, them you should go to a place that specializes in such items (Footlocker, Paragon Sports) as opposed to like the shoe floor at Macy’s across the street or a place like DSW where I would be expected to fend for myself for discount sports shoes. Whereas the employees who work at places like this actually know something about sports shoes.
My heart was already set on Asics running shoes and not one, but two female sales employees, gave me their undivided attention while helping me pick a great pair of running shoes. They had me walk to see if I roll inward, outward or am regular in my walk. They analyzed my foot specs and arch. They explained to me how some shoes would work better for my foot than others and had me try on several different types and support styles until we were able to find a great match that also fit the aesthetic look and weight I was going for with my running shoe. They also has me try on the shoes with and without special arch insoles as apparently I am rather flat footed and I confess the shoes were much more comfortable with the insoles, which I also purchased. They didn’t sell me on the quick dry running socks, but I bought the socks anyways as I am taking this running business seriously. No more bulky regular socks that can’t breath and don’t quick dry for me.
I think I lucked out with exceptional customer service while shopping here. Given that I suffer pretty bad shin splits after I run (and it doesn’t help that I separately do a lot of other forms of exercise as well), buying the right running shoes and the add on purchases were really important to me.

Even with the chaos and frequent revolving high volume of tourists in the store I was still able to receive a quality personal experience from Tiara. She worked with me to try and accommodate my very specific requests for a new shoe.
Although I was not able to find something I felt good about purchasing she still took the time to assist me and wait for me to pick out the next shoe to try on while making inquiries to the other customers around me.
She gets 5 stars, the store loses 1 for the profanity I had to overhear on numerous occasions from other employees around the store speaking to each other.
Tiara, if you ever read this, thank you for your patience and assistance.

This footlocker is always so crazy. It must be one of the busiest in the world. It definitely has a great amount of inventory and you can usually find the latest shoe in whatever size you need.
You never need to look for an employee because there are about 20,000 of them everywhere you look trying to help you.

Store is basically neat and clean with an OK selection of Nike women’s shoes (what I was looking for).
Was in the store with a friend last night, looking for shoes to buy for about 30 min. Throughout this time, only one employee came up to us rudely when we were about to LEAVE, asking us if, «We wanted anything.» This was said with a mixture of scorn and annoyance that we apparently prompted her to stop talking with her co-​worker and standing around doing nothing while supposedly working.
After we explained what we were looking for, she pointed at the shoe directly in front of us and said, «That’s it.» I told her I know «that’s it.»
Not sure which customer service is worse, here or at Nike Town.

Absolutely the worst customer service. I came here to return a pair of shoes I bought online. Granted I did not have an invoice sheet with me, I did have my confirmation email and all the info of the purchase with me but they would not let me return the item unless I had that piece of paper with me. I did not have the invoice with me because it never came with the packaging. Even when I explained this to one of their store managers (named Adriana, the most unhelpful manager I’ve come across), they did not even try to do anything to help only saying that it is their «new» policy with online orders. But when I called the Foot Locker customer service line, the helpful lady told me that she has encountered other customers in similar situations and were helped with returning the products at local retail stores with no problems. So this Adriana either lied to me or did less than nothing to try to help a customer. She clearly should not work in retail. I am sick and tired of people who get paid for not doing their jobs. Avoid this foot locker if you expect any proper service.
Oh, and after I filed a complaint to Foot Locker’s complaint dept about Adriana, I got a $ 10 gift card sent to me, so fire away if you have any complaints.

Jeff assisted me with my purchase, he was sweetheart, he was also down to earth, funny and was very helpful. Though I knew exactly what I looking for, Jeff made my shopping trip more exciting! He even made my daughter smile which is hard to do if she doesn’t know you. Great job! :)

Sneakers

I’m not sure if these people actually want to sell anything. I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s just there because it’s a nice location to market the brand.
In total, I think I spent about 30 minutes waiting in this store and I got to try on one pair of shoes. Didn’t like them, and didn’t get to try on anything else because the staff just stared at me like they wanted me to leave whenever I tried to make eye contact and get some help. They’re just not interested in sales.

i walked into this store and was horribly dissapointed in the customer service. Just an absolute joke. I am sorry if you aren’t working on commission and you don’t make more money if you sell more shoes but at least pretend to care about helping me.
I live in NYC and knowing that there are countless other stores to shop from even BLOCKS away. actual feet away from this one, i will make sure to never go back to this horrible excuse for a customer serving establishment again.

Great workers and attitude. Know a lot about shoes if you give them your preferences on what you need.

Don’t even bother if you need a shoe in a wide size. I had a very negative and misleading experience.
Not only do they not have wide sizes in basically anything, but they will not tell you this if you ask for the widest shoe possible. They will just give you a normal size. I WAS told if they didn’t have size 11 or 12 or whatever, but I was NEVER told they simply didn’t sell the wide sizes of basically any shoe I asked for. (And that they were available in other stores/​online)
Did I mention this place goes on commission?
I bought the most comfortable shoes I could find, thinking they were showing me everything. A compromise. I go home, do my research, find out ALL New Balance shoes come in wide, Nike Free Runs are availble in wide online, etc.
So I call this location and ask about if they have the Nike Free Runs in wide directly, and was told they didn’t have any. I asked if maybe another one of their locations had it in stock — they quickly said ‘I’m not sure…’ and just left it at that. Just silence.
I waited to see if maybe the rep on the phone would say anything more, but that was it.
So I come back a day or two later asking for a refund, saying I was simply misinformed about my buying options. I didn’t need to compromise on my $ 110 purchase!
The manager refuses the refund because I had worn the shoe outside in the day or so since I bought it.
Don’t trust this store, period. I have since found the «RUN by Foot Locker» store by E 14^th, and the staff is more knowledgeable, friendly, and are more than happy to direct you to the stores of their competitors. Complete opposite experience.
This is just a tourist trap here.

Store is always packed… full of those annoying tourists… if you’re a tourist and you’re reading this, sorry…
Anyway, nice selection and everything is neat and easy to look for. The staff are good but they can be a bit on the aggressive side. I think they work on commission.
Anyway, it’s cool, but I get my kicks in my exclusive spots.

Huge location with a lot of merchandise. Came in here to buy the Olympics basketball shorts and the salesgirl who assisted me was really nice and helpful.

I generally try and stay out of this area because it’s directly across from Macy’s and is always crowded no matter what time of year. I must have had a sip of crazy juice, because I decided to stop by during the final shopping days of Christmas. However I lucked out. They were having a tremendous sale. I got a pair of brand Nike Shox for my sister for $ 75. They were originally $ 100. I would have given them 4 stars, but I took away a star for having to hunt down someone to help me with a size, even though there were plenty of floor reps with their little black and white striped shirts just standing around. And also for having to wait in the line, while the cashiers gibber jabbered, and then when she was finally ready for me, she acted very impatient.
