I have been a client of the accounting firm of Granick and Gendler for going on twenty-​five years. I am a complete idiot when it comes to finances and when I put myself in the hands of Joel Gendler, I suddenly became a genius. He is so smart that my rather complicated tax returns are clear and thorough and take some of the sting out of paying taxes. I’m in the arts so I have lots of paperwork from various jobs and he has helped me immensely. He has wonderful helpers in his office, too, awho are accomodating for disorganized people like myself and always friendly. The complimentary red twizzlers on the counter don’t hurt either.
I would recommend G&G and have in fact sent many friends to him and they feel the same way.

This CPA company is sloppy and negligent!!! They make typos and don’t correct them for years, Do not tell clients about incorrect withholdings from W-​2, very aggressive on Itemized deduction schedule miscellaneous deductions (2106), and everybody knows that’s a red flag for IRS! If you decide to move to another accountant but need a copy of a prior year tax return, it takes them weeks to send it to you, and when it comes — it’s all sloppy! On top of that, they will charge you $ 25 for that!!!
Those are small and big things that show respect and professionalism. In this case — there is just none. Go someplace else.
