Private, one on one personal training on the Pilates equipment. Karyn has over 20 years in the fitness field and as a professional dancer and former Radio City Rockette she understands how to get a body in shape and keep it there. Also Karyn is a licensed massage therapist giving her a great understanding of the body.

History

Established in 2000.

Karyn started the Gymwithin while still an active Radio City Rockette and performer. After a few years with a foot in both worlds, Karyn decided to leave the dance world and concentrate on Gymwithin. She enjoys teaching clients, inspiring them to really understand their bodies and to have fun at the same time. Being in shape is a lifestyle that is obtainable by everyone and it is the Gymwithin’s mission to bring that truth to everyone that comes through it’s doors.

Karyn a former Radio City Rockette, singer and actress is also a licensed NYS massage therapist who has worked at the New York City Ballet’s therapy room and traveled with the Joffrey Ballet on tour as company massage therapist. Karyn is also a licensed Gyrotonic® and Gyrokinesis® instructor as well as a certified (550 hour certification program) Pilates instructor for all the Pilates mat and equipment (beg-​adv) under Alycea Ungaro (Real Pilates) and Bob Liekens (Power Pilates). Karyn has been actively studying dance in NYC for 20 years collecting information about the body from some of the most skilled master teachers in Ballet, Modern and jazz dance in the world. She is a true believer in ‘practice what you preach’ and in continually studying movement as well as metaphysics and psychology to improve her teaching. It is her life’s mission and the mission of the Gymwithin to help people truly feel comfortable, fit, healthy and happy in their bodies.
