Woke up with a serious knot in my shoulder and was in pain all day at work. Needed to get a massage and they were able to fit me right in! Nice, friendly and got the job done. Walked out feeling so relaxed and at ease!

Had such an amazing massage here. Super reasonable, worth every bit and more. Definitely coming back :)

I was super thrilled to find a massage place nearby my office that offered 30 minute massages for just $ 28. That is not only a great deal but it’s also the only time I can afford, The place can be tricky to find. It’s right next door to the pizza shop on the corner but the numbers suddenly jump so keep your eye out for the «Heart Sea Spa» door. You buzz the door and someone will let you in to take the stairs to the second floor. The space is clean, comfortable and the staff will welcome you with friendly smiles.
You can specify whether you want to use oil, no-​oil, less oil, or a massage through the towel. If you do use oil, they will wipe you down with a hot towel at the end which is very important especially when it’s 90 degrees out or you’ve got to return to the office.
The first time I went, Emily gave me an amazing massage. She knew how to spot the trouble areas and work them out with the right amount of pressure without any pain. I enjoyed the massage so much I came back with my colleague the following week.
My colleague had David who is extremely enthusiastic and you can tell he takes pride in his work. The spaces are separated by a thin curtain so you can hear everything going on next to you and I could hear him explain in few words what he was doing. She was extremely tense and had a lot of knots so he applied a few hot stones to help release the tension in those muscles. She was so pleased with the massage, the price, and that they spent the 30 minutes on just her neck, shoulders and back. We would regularly go for chair massages because she never cared for a full body so this place provided just the kind of service for which she was looking.
The girl I had, Sandy, was not as experienced. I felt like I’d just gotten rubbed down with medium pressure all over but what I needed was to have the knots worked out under my shoulder blades. She didn’t know or couldn’t identify that those were the trouble spots that needed therapy.
If you do go, I would highly recommend David or Emily. Both are fantastic. Do not expect much in terms of décor. It’s $ 28 for 30 minutes so you’re paying for the massage and not an entire spa experience.
They also offer a loyalty card where if you accrue 10 hours, you get a full hour free.

I was initially unsure about the place but oh my goodness! The massage was amazing and quite professional. I recommend them if you are visiting NY and not sure where to head to for a good relaxing massage. Definitely going back soon

Went to the 177 Chambers St. Site… Wonderful Ladies. Quiet atmosphere… great Massage… Fabulous place to relax from the crazy city… Maggie is Great. will always return… Highly recommended!!!

The massages here are pretty good and the staff is really nice. The ambiance does leave something to be desired: thin curtains separate the massage tables so there is very little privacy. If you can get over the lack of privacy this is a great place for a massage that won’t break the bank.

This is the last time I came to this shop. Massage here technology is more and more bad, she will only make my back pressure, cause my bones is very painful, she is crazy, I won’t come back.

I love this place! The people are so nice and welcoming, which sets a great environment for a relaxing massage. This location is also clean and cozy. I’ve been here a couple of times now and have enjoyed it every time. I’ve also brought friends here who have loved it as well! Oh, not to mention the price is also great!

Unassuming place located just next to a place we had lunch at.
Clean, efficient and friendly staff– don’t get out off by the sign for the venue next door (male massage!) They even show you the ter they set for the massage time so that you know you get your allocated time for what you are paying.
Reasonably priced and finished off the massage with hot towels! Love!

Sarah gives fantastic massages and is very friendly as well. I’m so happy that a great massage place has opened a block from my front door! Woohoo!

This was my 3^rd time here and my last.
The first time was great. 2^nd time was bad and this last time was real bad. I asked for a 60 min body scrub, to which I was washed down with wet cold paper towels and the rubbed down with watered down lotion. I didn’t even bother saying anything because ‘surprise’ she didn’t speak English. On top of it, they charged me extra for using my Amex. I left more stressed out than I was before.

You cannot judge a book by it’s cover. This holds true for the Heart Sea Spa.
I got a promotional deal for their one year anniversary celebration and as expected I sent my massage crazy hubby to try the place. I have passed this business so many times while heading to my volunteer place in Chelsea but never bothered to stop by before. My mistake!
He was greeted promptly by the owner Michael, who is very courteous and prompt on all his communications.
My husband’s masseuse was Rita. He says that Rita has magical hands. She worked on his tight shoulders and knots so well that he is definitely going back for another session soon.
The one hour clock ran out and she finished the complete massage even though it was 10 minutes over the time.
I (who is a chicken when it comes to massages) am definitely going back for couples’ massage (maybe for V day celebrations next month ;))
They are all set to get more of our business in the near future.

I have been here many, many times and have always had a WONDERFUL experience. I really like a «strong» (nothing worse than a lame massage with light pressure, for me!) massage and have never been disappointed.
That being said, If I’m extra sore from stress or working out, they will apply lighter pressure as well… I believe I have had at least one massage from most of their therapists and they are all awesome… they each have a very similar style and technique because they trained at the same school… Michael, Anis and Wendy are AMAZING!!!
The spa is not über fancy; however this place gives you GREAT VALUE in that you can actually afford to have a massage once a week which is soooo terrific for the mind, body and pocket book! I LOVE THIS PLACE.

I had a GREAT experience here! I had a 1 hour massage with Michael and he was fantastic. He applied just the right amount of pressure & checked in with me to make sure I was okay a few times throughout the massage. The massage started over the blanket for about 15 minutes (maybe? I lose track of time during an amazing massage…), and it also included some minor stretching throughout.
The spa is very clean & the customer service was great. I rescheduled my appointment about 5 times and they were very accommodating every time. It’s definitely a great value for the price — although the massage rooms are just separated by a sheet, I didn’t have any issues with the noise level/​distraction. I learned that the spa has a new owner as of May, so I have a feeling it’s improved a lot since then. I will absolutely be back!

I get a massage here every week pretty much without fail!
All of their masseuses are GREAT! They will hit all the spots you want! Great prices and great people! Everyone is very nice! Michael is my absolute favorite and always takes care of me when I’m hurting! The girls are great too! They listen to you and know what they are doing! They offer water and candy treats, and are so, so friendly! Clean and comfortable setting as well! Very relaxing! Always!

I booked a massage and facial at Heart Sea Spa for Spa Week, thinking that the 75 minutes of treatments would be a good value. However, I was very disappointed in the outcome.
The facial was just OK, but my one star rating comes from the massage. It felt very clumsy and rushed, as the masseuse kept running around the table without really focusing on any areas. It was not relaxing at all. I had to tell him at least three times that he was applying too much pressure — he acknowledged it, and still massaged to the point where it was a bit painful. To tell you the truth, I’m not sure if he was trained — it seemed like everyone there was doing multiple jobs — from running the front desk to jumping in and out of massage rooms, etc.
The place was clean and the staff friendly, I’ll give them that, but I really don’t think it was worth the $ 50. I hate giving bad reviews, but at this point, I don’t think I’d recommend this place for quality spa services.

Well… i would say that i am a Tui na snob.
I’ve been to many midtown spots at lunch, and Chinatown spots in the evening. i know what a good massage is suppose to feel like. I was disappointed bc the technique was off, the attention to detail was not there. The table was way to had… i would not come back. Sorry i hate giving mediocre reviews.

I had the best massage of my life here. Ask for Anies. She did an awesome job. The place was very clean. The only down fall was the rooms were separated by sheets. I would like a little more privacy please!
