I’ve known Francisco for over 10+ years. Decided to get my hair done one day when I worked across from him. I felt completely happy and satisfied with my hair results. Since then on I’ve been going to him on occasions and until this this I can say he is a great, innovative, and great hair stylish. He is awesome, and a great person indeed. Not just saying this because I know him, would think the same if I didn’t know him personally. Try him out, you won’t regret it!

Francisco has talent that far exceed expectations! He’s not only awesome with hair but has a heart of gold and will work to make you beyond happy with your hair.
Amy is the ONLY person I will let touch my eyebrows ever again! Hands down, she’s the best! She’s very sweet, quick, and makes the process painless. The two of them are extremely welcoming and will make you feel comfortable.

Great service very sweet accommodating, Amy helped me for my first visit I was tying to get a feel trying to find a new eyebrow threader. Came here in my lunch break waited about one minute before any began assisting me. She cleaned up the area we would be working on and began threading. She told me she wouldn’t take off too much due to the fact one eyebrow is thinner than the other. The whole process at most was six minutes and she ended it by trimming up the eyebrow hair and adding a cooling gel. You can pay using a credit card/​debit card. Minimum ten dollars on the card. Threading is only $ 8.00 but in intended on tipping anyways. You then recurve a point card I guess you can call it and on the 8^th visit you get free eyebrows. Now usually after I get my eyebrows done I’m scared to see what the result is because it can go so wrong when trying someone new. But I was shocked at how amazing they looked and the fact I was seriously in and out in about ten minutes. My eyebrows look amazing and I definitely will be returning! Super happy with Amy!

I usually get my eyebrows threaded with Amy. She’s also really good with Hanna eyebrow tattoo, it looks very natural and last 2 weeks.
Francisco is the best for color and cut. His blow outs are vavavoom.

In 2003 I found Francisco when I lived in Murray Hill. He was at MonHaiir Salon and I knew I found the hair stylist that I would stick with for LIFE!
NOBODY does a better blowout than Francisco! NOBODY! My course curly Irish hair is impossible to work with and he makes it gorgeous every single time!
Around 2005 he was gone from MonHair and they didn’t have his contact info… I was devastated… I had no way to reach him…
So the next few months-​years I was on a search for another stylist… But nobody ever compared to Francisco… Then in 2009 I got a random text from Francisco telling me where he was! I was SOOO excited! I’ve been back with him ever since and my hair is back to the amazing shape and color. People stop me on the street all the time and ask me where I got my hair cut and colored.
He is human and if he ever does something to my hair that I’m not happy with I just tell him and he brings me in to fix it immediately!!! You just have to speak up! He has such a kind and loving heart! If you want the most amazing cut and blow out of your life, give him a try, you won’t regret it!

Amy is really patient and does eyebrows beautifully! I recently got my lash extensions from Amy and I am in love. it’s value for money and the salon is warm and welcoming.
I also got my hair wash and blow-​dry from Francisco he does an excellent job and has a very vibrant personality. Overall I am very satisfied with the services and have made it my go-​to place.

I love the staff!!! Heena did an amazing job with my eyebrows. Fransico also gave me a great haircut and color change.

FRANCISO–
Be aware!!! Although they are very nice here, I had my hair chopped off by Francisco whom I brought TWO pictures to. He had a good reputation (via Unilocal reviews) so I decided to give him a try. I had long hair and a he cut it in what I consider my worse haircut in NYC in 20 years. Consequently, he denied not listening to me when I said take a tiny amount off which he cut deep into my forehead and midhairline. He subsequently attempted to dry it a certain way and practically burned all my hair during the blowdry to create the illusion that is was long again by pulling it dry pin straight (I need volume). My hair smelled burned for days. I had long wavy tresses and cutting it short in the front only makes it look like a bad bang job that a 3 year old would do. I look like something out of a 1980’s homemade rock video and I’m a professional woman needing to appear conservative. Think mullet.
My hair was also Razor cut in a way that a young child would cut a Barbie doll. I will have to wait at least a year to grow out my tresses and I really don’t understand how he did not use the pictures I gave him as an example or ask how much to remove when he was in front of me especially since I said to him just clean it up, follow the lines and take a tiny bit off. He practically cut bangs heavy into the top of my head on two feet of hair and if it weren’t for barrettes I would have a hard time doing anything at all. I keep my hair in barrettes and a bun right now. Two feel of hair is missing in a large chunk from my head. He destroyed my beautiful hair and I would never recommend him. I had 2 other professionals look at my hair after this bad cut and they both had that horrid expression on their faces and told me what I already know… it will be about a year to grow out the mess if not longer. I’m completely devastated but there is nothing but time that can fix this.
2 months update ²⁄₁₆
My hair is still a nightmare and growing SLOWLY. The mistake is so uneven and bad that even some growth doesn’t matter. There isn’t anything I can do in the process except rely on barrettes and hair ties. I sought excellent advice and not a single professional hairstylist has advised to touch it at least for 6 months because there’s nothing to cut up front. Trimming the back is a waste of good money and they say it will be at least another year before I will see a difference from this point today. This has been a horrifying experience that left me viscerally sick and very unhappy. I have spent hours upset about it and washing my hair is a horrible reminder of the butch job this man did on what was once long, beautiful hair. The worst service ever as the mistake was done in the front of the face and up to the midline where it’s impossible to hide. Imagine the worst and that is what I’m wearing on my head. It has affected my whole life. No one can believe that hair is being cut this way on purpose. It’s the worst haircut I’ve had ever. I have lost the desire to do anything but keep my hair up in pins and a bun and it still looks horrible. I write incredible reviews and this is the only bad review I have ever given a salon/​professional. It is against my nature to tell anything but the truth and my reviews reflect that. This is a warning to people who use this salon. I would never advise anyone to let this man touch hair unless they are very risky and their hair does not matter to them. If I could give negative 10 stars I would but Unilocal will only allow me to vote with at least one star which they don’t even deserve. Do yourself a favor and vote with your feet and take yourself somewhere else to a real professional who will listen. Pay the money and get a decent job. There is nothing worse than any professional who does not listen and there is no need to suffer the way I am if your hair matters to you. Run, don’t walk, away from this salon.
WAXING–
I’ve not had any threading done here but I did get waxing done and if you are considering large areas like underarms or arms, I can share that they did not pull the right way and the hair was not removed properly. Therefore it grew almost immediately as if I had shaved it and it had the coarse feeling to it. This happens when improper waxing techniques are used. Also, the quality of the wax was not good for a delicate area like underarms. The waxing room is cramped and technician couldn’t properly get around. I have underarm waxing done frequently at a high quality salons and it is completely different. I have been waxing for years and can recommend Ipanema Day Spa a few blocks away instead or J Sisters, Bliss. Sometimes it pays to spend a little more money to not be irritated and to have the proper job done. My underarms were sore and looked like I had shaved with a rusty razor and no water. To their credit, they are a threading salon and as I mentioned, I have not been threaded so I cannot speak to their expertise in threading.

I have been using Francisco for 16 years! He’s extremely talented and I have never had a better hair stylist! My hair is VERY curly and VERY long. He cuts, colors, and styles it like I have beautiful flowing straight hair!
Amy is AMAZING! I never get my brows threading because it has hurts so bad in the past but when Amy did it they came out fantastic and it did not hurt at all!!! The threading also lasted 2 weeks!

Prior to finding Francisco I searched for years around the city to find a hair dresser that could get my hair the ashy blonde color that I love without looking streaky, brassy and over processed. Then I found Francisco. Words can’t describe his talent and each and every time I leave him I am just so satisfied. I’ve even been asked if I’m a natural blonde… and my natural color is dark brown… that’s how good he is! I’ve been going to him for 4 years now and would never go to another hairdresser. If you want to have gorgeous natural blonde, non-​yellow, non-​orange, shiny, healthy, ashy blonde color… Francisco is your guy!
I love the owner, Hina, as well. She is very knowledgable about waxing and spent a significant amount of time with me answering various questions I had about threading and waxing. I also have had my eyebrows threaded by Amy who was excellent!
Great place, professional service and BEST hairdresser in New York hands down.

This review is exclusively for threading: I’ve had some trouble finding a good place to get my eyebrows threaded in midtown. I’m very picky, and a few weeks ago I decided to stop by. Amy did an incredible job. She’s very careful and knows exactly how to shape them. I’ll be coming back every month!

I went to get my hair colored last week and had an amazing experience with Francisco. He took such good care of me and was very loving and passionate about his work. I walked out of the salon as a completely new person. So fortunate to have found this place and such great staff. I also like to get my eyebrows done with Heena. She is very informative and experienced in her work. I trust her with my eyebrows and skin care. She is a very compassionate and trustworthy person. I totally love this place!!!

The best thing about this spot is the client administration. Heena and the rest of the employees are completely extraordinary. I discovered this spot when it initially opened and it was a calm spot where the proprietor puts all that she must make administration develop. Presently, she’s there just three days a week on the grounds that she opened up somewhere else yet at the same time verifies your encounters are more than tasteful. Awesome service! Henna is very talented and from talking to her I found out she’s a trained microbiologist in addition to being an aesthetician. Went in for eyebrow threading 2 days back. LOVED it. Went in for a facial today, just got done 10 mins ago. It was so good. I haven’t felt this relaxed and my skin hasn’t felt this good in such a long time! Absolutely recommend this place.:) :)
Found my new goto place for facials, massages, eyebrows, hair… If only they offered mani/​pedi… It would be my one stop shop…:) :)
