History
Established in 1990.
In over 20 years as a psychotherapist and marriage counselor, I’ve helped hundreds of New Yorkers heal from hurt and loss, gain confidence, and enjoy their relationships.
You may have seen me interviewed in The New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, USA Today, the Chicago Tribune, CNN International, Women’s Health or other media outlets where the subject is marriage and family life. I’m a member of Marriage Friendly Therapists, an advanced practitioner network featured in USA Today, National Public Radio, and the Harvard Mental Health Letter, and a New York State licensed psychoanalyst.

You may have seen Jean interviewed in the Wall Street Journal, the Chicago Tribune, USA Today, or other media outlets where the subject is marriage and family life. On a CNN International report related to some of the accusations about former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi, Jean gave a brief interview about marital infidelity.
Jean’s articles on family life and emotional and spiritual growth have appeared in many national magazines over the past twenty-five years, including Parents, Working Mother, The New York Times Magazine, and Family Circle, and she has written 6 books on family life. She was a contributing author to From the Ashes: A Spiritual Response to the Attack on America, a collection of essays written after September 11.
At Brown University Jean earned her A.B. with honors, was elected to Phi Beta Kappa, and earned her M.A. She completed psychoanalytic training at the Westchester Institute, where she is a faculty member and supervisor.
