Description

Specialties

Jenny is a Rolf Institute trained practitioner of Rolfing Structural Integration. The work, which gets its name from it’s founder, Dr. Ida P. Rolf, unfolds over a series of 10 – 12 sessions. Each session focuses on a different goal, a different territory of the body and a different educational component. The effect of working in this way is a step by step process of undoing old, unhelpful coping mechanisms in the body and finding new, easier ways of living, moving and being. Rolfing is a singular, potent type of bodywork, highly equipped at resolving even the most stubborn and complicated issues, both chronic and acute. It’s also interactive, educational and fun! We return to many of our most basic movements and get the chance to explore and experiment in a safe, supportive therapeutic environment. More information about Rolfing can be found on the website as well as testimonials from people who have been through the Rolfing journey.

Jenny also offers myofascial massage in which she draws from Rolfing principles but works outside of the series format. This type of work, which incorporates the use of hot basalt stones, is great for individuals who are looking for some ease and relief of physical symptoms or simply want to decompress.

If you’re not sure which type of work is right for you, get in touch! Jenny is more than happy to discuss your particular situation and come up with a treatment plan that’s right for you.
