As an NYC buff, I’ve had the pleasure of participating on many walking tours with many able and informative guides but I must state emphatically that Justin Ferate is absolutely THE BEST New York City guide. If anyone can know everything about New York’s history, architecture and all the little bon mots and anecdotes that make a tour come alive, than Justin is the person.

One of the best free activities in New York, hands down. This is as high a quality walking tour as you can find anywhere… and you don’t have to pay a penny. Come prepared to be intellectually challenged. Justin will connect the dots of history from multiple centuries and continents, setting the stage for the construction of Grand Central Terminal at the turn of the 20th Century.
If you have an interest in New York CIty cultural events and historical preservation, subscribe to his email list as well. All of his emails are worthwhile.
