History
Established in 2012.
My name is Lydia Callis. I am a professional American Sign Language Interpreter, community educator, and advocate for equal access.
When I think of deaf consumers, I think of my family. I come from three generations of deaf family members with distinct personalities, who all deserve an interpreter with the skill-set to get the job done right. I understand how important it is for both deaf and hearing clients that an ASL interpreter be committed, personable, and truly present in the moment. The value of a quality interpreter cannot be overstated!
I am motivated by connecting people, preserving Deaf culture and empowering individuals to pursue their dreams without limitation. I work to raise awareness regarding Deaf social issues, and actively advocate for public policy reform. Proud CODA and ally!

Business Owner
Sign Language was my first language, as my mother and three younger siblings are all profoundly deaf. At a time when there were no laws enacted to accommodate the deaf and hard of hearing, I saw the daily struggles my family members endured. I began interpreting to help my family communicate, and to make sure I stayed fluent in the language of my roots.
