Manhattan Irish fest. This is great for all those drunks who want to get a jump on celebratory St. Pats. Day drinking. Other than the FREEPARADE. the only thing that is FREE, during this fest, on Sat. March 3, nothing else is condusive to families with children, in fact. If you live here, Do NOt allow you r children to roam around this weekend, because our fine law enforcement seems to turn their head to all the drunks wandering about, outside of the fest grounds, with open alchohol, doing whatever they want to do. This also includes underage drinking! I still can’t believe that anyone who wants to browse the craft show at the public school is expected to purchase a $ 7.00 admission pin(good to also enter the drunken fest.) The School is not even located on the grounds of the fest! What does Manhattan think they have? A craft show like Frankfort’s fall fest or the big craft show in Naperville during the summer(which I believe is free admission)? Frankfork requires a fee for parking and shuttle, but it is worth it! Come on Manhattan, pull your head out of you ass and be a little more friendly to all us newcommers who are paying these high taxes and just want a little something better!
