Michael Ostuni is everything you would want in a photographer. Drawing from his mixed creatve background of both music and art, he brings true out of the box thinking when setting the tone of a photo shoot. I would highly reccomend Michael to anyone who does not want a cookie cutter photographer to capture theur special event.

Michael just came with my band to Las Vegas to photo document the experience. I took a chance and asked him if he would travel and he was kind enough to work out a budget that worked for both of us. This was above and beyond what I expected. I can’t wait to post more pics from our photo shoot in an Las Vegas Ghost Town. Ask and you shall receive.

My name is John and I’m a professional musician based out of New York. I’ve had the pleasure of working with Michael on a number of occasions.
As a photographer, his eye for framing a good composition is uncanny. You can tell by his level of commitment to capturing the best possible shot, that he is a true artist. Also, you can tell by the direction he gives his subject, that he sincerely cares, is very passionate, and takes great pride in delivering a quality product on a consistent basis.

My (now) wife and I had Michael do our engagement photos and, in all honesty, we couldn’t have been happier with both the results and the experience (which is also a really big deal but not something most people think about when booking a photographer for something like this).
We didn’t just end up with a couple of great pictures and then a bunch of fillers for the album; we wound up with an album’s worth of great pictures. Seriously, we had trouble picking out which ones we wanted to use to send to family and friends (and post on Facebook, of course…) because there were so many beautiful, artistic shots that captured my wife and I interacting and being our in-​love selves. Michael is the true definition of an artist and rather than just trying to take flashy, stock –level engagement photos — which I see posted by other friends and family far too often — he uses his artistic side to bring out your personalities.
The experience of having them taken was also very memorable in and of itself because Michael is an absolute blast to be around. He made the entire full-​day session walking around New Haven fun and lighthearted, which in turn led to great photos. The smiles are so much more genuine when you’re really laughing from something he just said and in an all around good mood. He clearly understands this and makes it feel like anything but a boring old photo shoot.
I can honestly say that years down the road when my wife and I are older, we’ll look back on these photos with huge smiles on our faces remembering that day and the early stages of our life together. He captured it all better than we could have hoped for and the smile on my wife’s face when she looks at them from time to time says it all (she framed a bunch of them in a collage and hung them on the wall in our living room).
