We were so excited when the upstairs restaurant, Pepe Rosso Social, decided to expand into the basement. The upstairs is cozy and fast paced, while the cantina is elegant and quiet. The space is beautiful, with tables in nooks and lots of sparkly lights. Expanded wine selection and the same delicious food menu as upstairs! Never had a dish on the menu I didn’t love — I particularly recommend the salmon and anything with pink sauce. I’ve now had dates and friends here as well as booking a large group event, and staff like David always make me feel like family. My favorite Italian place without a doubt!

The ambiance is about the only thing this place has going for it. And maybe that it’s confused with the upstairs restaurant(which apparently gets good reviews). But the menu is very limited and the food is hit or miss. My children shared an order of gnocchi(they won’t do small portions for children) and that was actually good. My chicken Milanase was just breaded chicken with an arugula salad on top. And my moms fusilli pesto with shrimp only came with three shrimp and was downright disgusting. Then they would only do a max of 3 credit cards per table(we were 11 people), but that was ok. But then said it needed to be a min of 6ppl per check. Umm… what?!! If you stumble across this place, run. Don’t walk. There are a million other better restaurants around the corner in the actual«Little Italy».
