Ron Baer, DMD

I got a Groupon deal for a cleaning. Ron and his staff are beyond sweet. I had told him about my history with a filling and he didn’t pressure me into anything. The cleaning was quick and easy. He is very gentle! I’m very weary (as we all should be!) about cleanings on Living Social/​Groupons/​the like because often times I feel that doctors want to get more money out of you and recommend more invasive and costly procedures.
I had told Ron about a previous doc that recommended I get my filling fixed, but my 2^nd opinion said it was fine. After examining my filling, Ron agreed that it did look slightly corroded. but offered alternatives because he knew I’m a not a fan of needles. I really appreciate a doctor who looks at you as a patient first and not dollar signs. I may come back to have him fix it.
Just make sure you read the fine print and the 48 hour cancellation policy. Other than that, awesome office. I just wished they accepted my form of insurance.
Before leaving, he made sure to pack me a little bag of Mrs. Field’s cookies! Can’t beat that.

I went to see Dr. Baer for the first time and I couldn’t have been more pleased. He did a superb job. His staff was very friendly. Going to the dentist turned out to be a happy experience. I highly recommend him:)

My girlfriend bought me a cleaning and x rays «gift» through Living Social, to Dr. Ron’s dental office. From the secretary to Dr. Ron, they couldn’t be nicer. His assistant, a nice young lady, was also super nice and gentle.
During all cleaning, we chit chatted (well, I talked less, of course, lol). Great people and amazing professionals. Dr. Ron, thank you so much. I’ll definitely go back.

Pleasant experience with a dentist who has terrific bedside manners.
The staff are amazing, including Anevay who was prompt and courteous.
Dr. Baer definitely made the typical dental nightmare a pleasant one. Its also good to know he serves our country.

Top service at the front office and in the dentist chair.

the doctor was nice and did good work fixing my tooth but the office staff was rude. they overcharged me for my visit. I had to call to attempt to get my money back. they told me the refund would take 3 – 5 business days, and it never happened and the girl behind the desk didn’t seem to care much. when dealing with people’s money, any business knows you have to be nice. they are the furthest thing from it. would NOT recommend. not because of the dentist but the staff.

Dr. Baer is an excellent dentist. He is knowledgeable, caring, gentle, and affable. He stays up to date with new procedures and technology. And he does a great job making dental visits as comfortable as possible. I’ve been going to him for four years. I strongly recommend him.

I was suggested to Dr. Baer by two of my staff members when I came down with a wicked toothache. This was a Friday and Dr. Baer was able to get me that day at 6pm to my surprise and was able to do the procedure that day! (really, in NYC this is a huge deal) — all I can say is that the staff and Dr. Baer were wonderful! Very nice/​welcoming and despite having to get some work/​drilling done I really didn’t feel a thing and my teeth are now good :) I was looking for a dentist and I’m so glad I was recommended.

Let me say that my mom was a dental hygienist for years so I’ve got pretty high standards. But for some reason I just went with whoever I found on my insurance website.
I lucked out. Big time. Here’s a few reasons why he’s the best in town.
1.) No waiting.
You know how when you go to the dentist you wait in the lobby, then you sit in the dental chair and wait, then a hygienist comes in and takes some x-​rays, and then you wait in the chair a little more, and then the dentist comes in and finally says «hi» and looks at your teeth, then he goes into another room and deals with another patient and you wait some more, and the hygienist comes in again and preps some implements, and then you wait some more, and then the dentist finally comes in to clean your teeth, but by then you’ve blown about 60 minutes just waiting around?
Not so with Dr. Baer. He’s got one dental room, which means he’s got one patient at a time, which means he’s not bouncing from room to room, which means it’s all about YOU. And it’s faster.
2.) Great dentist
I never knew how badly my previous dentist sucked until I went to Dr. Baer. He didn’t try to sell me on anything unnecessary, but when I mentioned that I wasn’t overjoyed with the job my previous dentist did with my crown, he did (politely) suggest that perhaps a better one could be done. (When I told my mom this, she said «OH THANK GOD — that thing was horrible, but I didn’t want to hurt your feelings.)
Talk about an improvement. His *temporary* crown was already better than the permanent one the previous dentist put in. And when it came down to actually creating the permanent crown, his instructions to the lab was unbelievably detailed, right down to the hand coloring: «slight calcification striae towards the top» with blah blah blah stuff I couldn’t understand.
His attention to detail paid off. When I saw the crown (which he presents in a Tiffany’s box) I couldn’t believe it. And when it was in and I looked in the mirror, I actually pointed to the wrong tooth. It was so realistic I got it confused with one of my real teeth.
3.) Great staff
Super friendly, but not in an annoying way. Completely accommodating.
4.) Good guy
Great bedside (or «chairside») manner.
I really did luck out finding this office.

I found this dental office listed on my Aetna website and I chose it due to proximity to my work place and couldnt have been happier!
*I was able to make a check up and cleaning appointment within days (while some places can’t book you for weeks!)
*It’s a very small office, but the staff is very efficient and pleasant. When I got there around lunch hour, I didnt have to wait for any patient and they took care of me promptly.
*The dentist, Dr. Baer, is very personable and explained every single thing he was doing (and I was only getting a cleaning!) and answered all questions I had.
I only went for a cleaning, but would definitely go back for any other services!

I’m (the rescuer not kittykat2) and have been a long time client of Dr. Baer’s. He was recommended to me by a co-​worker after I complained that I haven’t been able to find a dentist that I’m truly comfortable with. I’m am so glad you are finally out on Unilocal Dr. Baer! Even though I needed treatment and had no dental insurance at the time, he was always willing to work with me in terms of costs and payments. He turned me onto CareCredit who are great and immediately approved a line of credit for me. You walk into his office and you feel like family. He and his staff really care about their patients. You’re in the chair and he explains everything that will happen during that appointment and is super conscious about any pain you may start to feel. I haven’t had to stop him for pain at any point of any of my visits. he takes the time to really know you. I’m estatic with the treatment I have recieved over these several years and wouldn’t switch for anything or anyone! He and his staff are the best and I highly stand behind my review. Thank you Dr. Baer and Staff. You’ve really made me feel special and look & feel spectacular! I am so happy with the work you’ve done — after so many years — of not being — Thank you so much!

I do not have great teeth and have sat in a lot of dentist chairs since I was a kid. Dr. Baer has been my dentist for a few years now and I can only say if you want the best, then go the best. He is gentle, thorough, kind, compassionate and smart. I am not an easy patient (nervous) and he takes the time to explain everything to me and answer all my questions.
He also seems to take a lot of insurance plans including Carecredit which is a big plus if you are having a lot of work done. His office staff handles the insurance submittal as well.
