Very important to know that there are also tons of kids stuff can be bought on the 2d floor. Souvenirs are very pretty and nostalgic for me but getting toys from my own childhood for my half american toddler is VERY precious!!! Weldone! I only wish they were a little cheaper. Say 25%. Obviously in Russia mosaic cost about 1 $ vs here 8.99 $.

It’s in a convenient location and easy to spot from anywhere around. Just look for the sign SAINT-PETERSBURG! This is a company that really understands what customer service is all about. I found this store after visiting their website. Right off the bat I was impressed by how comprehensive it was. Rich descriptions of items, lots of photos, in-depth explanations of materials and an almost encyclopedic amount of information. Excellent!!! Two days after I went to explore their Manhattan spot. Their shop assistant(Dimitri) was so amazing and explained the products I asked about in detail. If I could give this place 10 stars, I would! Amazing products for good prices! I walked out happy and excited to present everything I bough to my friends.

Everything in this shoppe is Beautiful and very well made. I purchased a teacup and saucer, and Dimitri gave me a little card with it that shared the history of that particular kind of China. Great customer service, and a vast knowledge of their products and their history!

My daughter is going to be Vasilisa the Brave in a school play and I had no idea where to purchase an outfit by the end of the week. I know, I know, I should have started the search earlier. But luckily, after googling, I found this shop and the perfect dress on its website. I didn’t have enough time to order online so I called the store. A wonderful customer service person named Roman told me that, although the Manhattan location did not have the dress I wanted, the sister store in Brighton Beach had it. He told me he would arrange for the dress, along with another of a different style and color(just so I could have more to choose from) to be sent to the Manhattan location to save me the trip to Brighton Beach. He called me first thing the next morning to confirm that he was sending the dresses(in two different sizes to make sure my daughter would get the perfect fit) and the Manhattan store would call me when they arrived. Like clockwork, I got a call that afternoon from the Manhattan store to tell me the dresses were in. WOW! Such high quality fabric, beautiful workmanship, spectacular detailing on the trim and sleeves. My girls so loved the dress I bought(the gorgeous silky blue one), they fought over who would wear it first. I am tempted to go back and buy the red one too. And to top it off, the store gave us a lovely Russian tea calendar for free! I really love this store. Amazing customer service, wonderful high quality products. Who could ask for anything more?

My boyfriend and I are big fans of the Russian culture, and we really enjoyed our visit to this amazing shop! The sales associate was very friendly and professional, and even though we bought something for ourselves, he took the time to neatly gift wrap it for us. We will definitely be back soon!

I was looking for a gift for a friend, and I stumbled into this store after looking on Unilocal.I walked into the store and the sales associate said hi and followed me around THEWHOLETIME. She tried to act like she wasn’t doing it but it was very very obvious. I felt very uncomfortable and tried to enjoy the experience hoping it was just her job. After I left the store, I realised what a terrible experience I had had. I was actively looking for a gift, and I liked a few things in the store, but I wont be returning.

Yes! Finally! I’m so happy St. Petersburg decided to open a Manhattan location. Not that I minded trekking to Brighton Beach, as I used to live in Bensonhurst many moons ago but, well, no. I did mind. I’ve always bought gifts from SP for others, and Russian-language books/DVDs for myself but until now my purchases have mostly been from their website. What can I say about the store itself? It has tons of beautiful, quality and unique gifts in every price range. Home goods, literature, toys… you could fill a soviet apartment block, samovar and all. If you’re a Russophile, or even mildly intrigued by the echoes of russophone diaspora culture in NYC, do yourself a favor and visit this miracle of miracles. Can you feel my excitement? I can’t wait to buy my British husband a real mouton ushanka.

I felt like I’ve just visited«Mother Russia» without hopping on a train to Brighton Beach!!! Now anyone can have that unique feeling just wandering at the 5th ave and doing the regular«window shopping». I decided to stop by Starbucks for my «wake up» latte… but what really woke me up is that red lettered sign — «GRANDOPENING» and russian themed decorated display. «Can’t be…», — I thought to myself. Little Russia in the heart of Manhattan??? Still pinching myself, I walked in. I was really impressed and felt like a kid in the candy store. All those gorgeous nesting dolls, porcelain, ushankas, woolen shawls, stuff for russian Banya, toys… and lots of books!!! From Leo Tolstoy to modern authors. I think the shop assistants thought I was crazy, when I spent nearly an hour looking through the books and skim reading some of them:). I ended up buying«Cheburashka»!!! OMG, it is such a hillarious toy!!! And it speaks in russian if you press its paw:)). It made my day. Definitely, will come back!!! I’ve noticed a lot of russian style christmas ornaments, so now I have an idea, what my tree is gonna look like this year:)!
