This is my local Starbucks. I go almost every day. It’s not perfect because nothing is, but the staff do an excellent job. In a blizzard, when the pipes burst, when customers ask them to be patient and give their most ridiculous Starbucksian order, they get it. A special shout out to longtime employee Patrick. They act like a local coffee shop and work really hard.

The Starbucks on 73/Columbus in comparison is simply stellar. I don’t know if it’s poor management or just the rotating staff aren’t as into providing proper service. The first person to go should be a tall, black guy named Andy –simply horrendous! The first time I went there, he got my entire order wrong. I think he has a hearing deficiency and for that reason alone, he should NOT be behind the cashier! I went there again recently, since my favorite Starbucks was closed due to a pipe bursting. Fortunately, I got another individual to take my order but I watched this same person mess up again! He took several kids orders and then didn’t even bother to tell the barista about the orders, which seriously irritated her when she realized why a couple of kids were waiting by the bar. Please get rid of this fool!

Around 5 pm today i Popped in for a quick cappuccino and a bite to eat between meetings. I chose a grilled cheese sandwich. Got the drink quickly but after ten minutes of wait no sign of the food. Went to ask and the lady behind the counter was nonplussed. She asked her coworker and he confirmed the order and that he had forgotten to pass it through. Without a word she turned around and took one out of the fridge. I explained that i did not have time and she asked if i wanted a refund. I got the refund and since at no time was an apology proffered i said a very loud«thank you very much». At that they both started laughing. It is sad that staff can be so unnecessarily unhelpful and forgetful of basic customer services practices.

Except they don’t carry coconut milk like the SB in Seattle, they are consistent! Making sure our stocks stay well!

The baristas are unbelievably rude and unfriendly. Zero customer service. You would think that with the consistent negative reviews, this location would make personnel changes.

On some Wednesday afternoons I head to Starbucks as an occasional treat. I have been to this Starbucks a decent amount of times. I walk to an empty line but a crowded space. There is one open stool but covered by a bag. I order my chocolate chip cookie and ask for it to be warmed. I get it back still room temperature, the chocolate chips are cold and not melted. The dough tastes dense instead of light and airy. I order some crackers covered with milk chocolate for later. There are two very small crackers together not even making a full cracker. It costs me $ 1.10! My cookie(which is a decent size) costs me $ 2.10. Talk about pricing issues?! If that couldn’t get any worse the barista serving me is blatant and rude not even asking if I want my receipt, which I did. She doesn’t give me a bag to put both of my items in, instead making me carry them both. I say excuse me to her but she ignores it. I was asking to get my receipt and bag. I will not be going to this Starbucks for a long time. The barista is also side chatting to the other employee instead of actually heating up my cookie. I’m quite disappointed in these series of actions.

Incredibly slow — four employees behind the counter but not servicing customers(a few were washing pitchers though to be fair), including barista who just stood there instead of asking for advance orders for drinks. While waiting for my drink after finally ordering, barista was coughing into his arm and I was thankful I ordered a hot drink so to hopefully ward off any germs. I will hold off next time and visit my local coffee place.

It’s your pretty standard Starbucks. When we stopped in, they were in the process of replacing the pastry cooler and it was a giant clusterf$%k because of the maintenance guys trying to get in and out of the store, a full store of customers, and oppressive heat. Regardless, and once we got past that ordeal, the three of us ordered our drinks and we were out of there within five minutes or so. The drinks were made correctly and life went on. This particular location is definitely on the smaller side of stores, but it appears to be constantly busy and the large windows are great for people-watching!

Unfriendly staff who work not correctly. More than 10 minutes for a very hibiscus refeshment not correctly done(lots water with just a little sirup). There were no crowd.

I walked in at 645pm on a Tuesday. In fact, today. There was 1 person in line in front of me. He ordered 1 drink off the menu. I did same(tall hot chocolate for me). I had my drink 15 minutes later. Giving me time to write this review about how atrocious this starbucks is. Of course they also got my drink order wrong. ps: no napkins. There are 4 customers present and 2 employees.

Staff is friendly enough, but the place is filthy. Even at 9:00AM. Doesn’t anyone monitor cleanliness at the chain?

This is my closest Starbucks so I usually go here but I’m gonna walk the extra half-block to the one at Columbus Circle from now on. Basically, the baristas(clerks) are slow. Slow at moving through the line, taking orders, and making drinks. There is also no real way to form a line, and they don’t help by managing the traffic. Also, they seem to always be talking to each other and making jokes, never saying hello, have a nice day, thank you, etc. Generally, I don’t give a crap about that, cuz I just want coffee — but when you suck at getting me my coffee, then that matters to me more. And this place sucks at getting me coffee.

When I was funemployed, I called this«my office,» as a place I could bring my laptop, chill for a few hours and blog, Tweet and what not, and drink some either iced coffee or iced tea. Some iced beverage, since I was out of work for a summer. Anyway, this is a Sbux that serves its purpose. It’s got tables, it’s got outlets, free wi-fi, and nice enough employees. It does get busy in here, but I think the plus side is that since it’s very small, it operates as more of a in-and-out Starbucks that those of us street poets who need to be out of confining space in the house can operate. I am working now, but if I get the urge to write and don’t feel like being in my house, I grab my Starbucks card and my laptop and head here for a few hours.

This Starbucks had the nastiest bathroom I’ve seen in any restaurant in the city. The service was good. The drinks were good. The huge windows were good.

I know that Starbucks is a big chain and people don’t like it, but it is still my favorite. I love the Caramel Macchiato! It never gets old to me. The sweetness from the caramel drizzled on top, the vanilla flavoring can be tasted throughout the drink, it is just what I long for every morning! And the location on 76th and Columbus in friendly and quick!

What I got: Mocha latte The good: Clean, cookie-cutter Starbucks. Very consistent with other Starbucks in the area. The bad: Always busy

This is the closest Starbucks to home and it is OK for the most part but just always super crowded and full of strollers and screaming children. Also it’s a pretty small store and I find the seating and outlets to be inadequate. The better Starbucks in this area is definitely 81st and Broadway.

This Starbucks seemed pretty typical, except it had one unusual flaw: NOTOILETPAPER!!! My friend ended up having to misuse a ‘hand’ dryer. To be fair it was pretty chilly out, so she probably appreciated the heat a bit more than she let on…
