I purchased a Unilocal deal to try out this doctor. The office is clean, welcoming, and easy to get to (right near Penn Station). Dr. Min was very nice and listened carefully to my medical history before the treatment. I’m eager to see how the treatment plays out, as I’ve had great success in treating chronic pain and migraines with acupuncture in the past. Give it a try if you’re searching for an affordable acupunturist in an easy location with evening hours. With the current coupon, the initial session is $ 40.

I have gotten referred to go to an acupuncturist for metabolism by an acquaintance. I went to a doctor uptown and had him do the session for $ 70. After finding out that my insurance does not cover acupuncture, I researched for cheaper alternatives and came across Dr Min Zhang’s office. When I got to his office, I noticed that he shares the space with couple of other doctors and the specific room I went in to get needled was a shared room (a lasic hair removal room) that during the acupuncture session was designated for acupuncture clients. Okay, so the ambiance could be better so if you’re a high maintenance person, this is not for you. Moving forward, I had him put the needles in the pressure points for metabolism (which I compared to what the first expensive doctor had put in me and he hit all the same spots) and a month into me visiting him, I have lost 6 pounds without lifting a weight or working out.
One time I was feeling sad/​angry (called PMS) and I voiced that to him, on top of my metabolism pressure points, he put some needles into my Happiness points where it took me to a euphoric place and once the session was over, I was more content than when I walked in.
This place is a hidden gem and I hate to blast it on Unilocal but since Dr Min Zhang is so awesome, I had to put in a good review. He has a Unilocal deal going on so people who are interested, try that deal out first (I did!). First 3 sessions with him are $ 30 each session. You really can’t beat that price.
