Is your computer, phone or gadget giving you a hard time? We can help! Don’t feel intimidated by tech. We can show you how technology and computers can enrich your life. Not only will we help you with your tech issues, we’ll show you what to do so that it doesn’t happen again. What sets us apart? We use simple, non tech language and teach you while helping you.

Our service is personal and one on one. No classrooms. No big groups. We work with you and only you by appointment and in your home.

Having a strong background in assistive technology, we also provide assistance and training for people with disabilities.

Established in 2012.

For years, I worked at a large tech company. I founded The Personal Geek so I could provide more tailored support & training to people who really want to get the most out the tech they own. The Personal Geek is meant to be your own personal help desk.

I was so relieved to find the Personal Geek to help me with my home theater system and then so thrilled with the service. And I was able to easily and conveniently schedule a home visit for a Saturday. Carols provided excellent, individual and supportive services. He took the time to make sure I understood what he did and how to handle the situation if it should arise in the future. I would highly recommend the Peronnal Geek for all of your technology needs.

I am so relieved to have found Carlos on Unilocal.I went to Tekserve yesterday morning to help me restore some lost data on my external hard drives. Not only were they not very helpful, they told me some things that were flat out wrong. I came home very frustrated and logged on to Unilocal to find someone who could help me. I saw that The Personal Geek had a high rating so I called and left a message. Carlos called me back quickly and said he could come over today and do a house call. Long-​story-​short, he showed me a couple of different ways to get around my problem and made me feel like I was working with a someone who really wanted to help me solve my computer problem. His service is a great value too. Friendly, smart, affordable and practical… I highly recommend him.

I had been working on a huge assignment day after day for weeks. I noticed my computer running more slowly over time, but I had no time to fix it as I was busy working. Imagine my horror to wake up one morning and find my computer (PC) would not boot up. I panicked and tried anything I could think of to get the computer running again. I frantically searched around online to find someone who could help and I came upon Carlos’s website. Carlos was able to come fix the computer that same day and I was able to submit my assignment on time. Not only did he fix the problem, but he explained what he did so I could fix it myself were the problem to reoccur. He also remedied the computer’s slowness and showed me routine processes I could run myself to keep my computer running quickly and efficiently. I would recommend Carlos to anyone in need of computer help, especially because he can both fix your problems and empower you to learn how to fix them yourself in the future.

I had a wonderful experience with The Personal Geek. I called him because he came highly recommended from a close friend of mine.
I have been wanting to switch to Mac products for years, but was unsure how to handle the transition. Carlos gave me a complete overview of the new technology in my life, both in terms of specific software and the computer’s overall features. He taught me how to use features that my friends who are longtime Mac users didn’t know about. Thanks to his thorough instruction, I am able to complete a whole host of tasks digitally (for which I used to use *GASP* paper), making complete use of all the technology available to me.
Carlos was also extremely helpful in installing our home theater sound system. He works efficiently but thoroughly, and he is always prompt. I recommend his services to anyone in need.
