I was really hoping they actually want to do their job but as I’ve sent 3 emails and Brandon never returned any of my email. Why waste my time???

This was by far the most horrible employment agency ever visited in my life! I was sent an email stating that they had many job opportunities that fit my resume and if I could come in for an interview. After going, I say down with a young lady that was not even the lady that sent me the initial email. Then another associate of the agency called me in the office and spoke to me about an Admin position way out in Brooklyn (I am a Bronx resident). She then proceeded to find out if they could set up n interview for me that day. The hiring mgr of the company was not available so she stated she would contact me the following day. Next day of course, no word from her but a Jason Sarney from the same agency called me about another position with a company that seemed to be a good fit for me. After going through TWO interviews with that same company (both interviews went very well), I was informed by the President of the company that he couldn’t make a decision until the following week.
That following week I received a call very early from Jason and I got very excited thinking it was good news about the interview, only to listen to his voicemail and him stating he had ANOTHER job opportunity for me! When I called him back he never mentioned the two previous interviews from the week before (I had to stop him in mid sentence to ask him!!!) And was told that they were on a hiring freeze!!! Why on earth would a person go through two interviews just to be told they were experiencing budget cuts? And what angered me even more was that Jason never even thought to inform me that I didn’t get the job; I had to ask him. The fast talking makes ME believe that Jason & this agency is questionable. I had reservations about employment agencies but this experience will make me never visit one again!!!

I should’ve read the reviews before going here for a meeting. This place is a joke. The receptionist had an attitude. I never met the person that contacted me about my resume. Then after having a meeting with another recruiter, I go to the waiting room and can hear someone through the door basically mocking my resume. I can’t believe how unprofessional they were. How these types of places can still do business is beyond me. I wasted half a vacation day thinking they were going to help me. Pfft!

It is with great pleasure that I recommend Trandon and Associates for the overall excellence of services they have provided me in my search for employment. I worked with many agencies but found that Trandon and Associates ranks among the top staffing agencies when it comes to professionalism accompanied by their genuine friendliness and caring for their clients. I have been working closely with many of the recruiters at Trandon for awhile now, and I must say they have set me up with more interviews and contacts than any other recruiting agency I have ever worked with! It’s not at all like other recruiting agencies where you meet with them and then never hear back, Trandon will keep contacting you until they have placed you. I was recently placed with a wonderful company in a great position thanks to Lorin Gordin, top notch recruiter who did not stop until she found me exactly what I needed and wanted. Definitely would recommend them, as I have done with several of my friends already.

Do yourself a favor — STAY AWAY. There are many recruiters out there — skip this one. This is a chop shop /​boiler room operation. I have dealt with many of the other recruiters out there and I never felt such impersonal service or just unprofessional treatment from a company before as I did with Trandon.
I was brought into a conference room with someone who obviously had not read my resume and asked a few strange questions. I was then sent into a large room with 20 people sitting around a large table all yelling and screaming at each other and onto phones. They dug through some job requisitions and said — we will try to get you an interview here, here and here. I told them not to send my resume to one because I had already interviewed there and they sent it anyway.
I never heard from them again. Waste of a trip into Manhattan. Horrible company.
– My current company has used Trandon for hiring and they are just as bad. I requested 3 resumes with specific qualifications and they sent me 12 which only 1 of which was even close to what my requirements were. The 1 I selected had already accepted another position. I told my HR department I don’t want any Trandon resumes going forward.

They care only about recruiting fees. Their recruiters including the owner are pushy and are not honest. I wish I never worked with them. Never again!

There is definitely something up with this agency.
I have been contacted by two different recruiters on 2 different occasions and sent on 2 different interviews– with the same feeling that both were bogus. I still cannot put my finger on it– but i ask what do they get out of all of this?
The previous reviews are spot on.
In both instances, I was feverishly contacted by fast talking recruiters (whom id never met in person), set up and sent on these interviews for positions/​companies i was highly interested in. Both times, i got the feeling that the interviewer was not actually expecting me, I did a lot of waiting while they did a lot to buy time to set up. In both interviews, the interviewers did most of the talking– narrating the company’s bio with little talk of the position and asked me little to no questions about my work history or experience. In my most recent interview, i was asked to complete their 4 – 5 pg job application — but it was never collected back from me.
In the end, I was «declined» for both positions, and although i know that you can”t win them all– I still have a looming question. On what basis was i declined for either position– given that i waited 30 – 60 mins to be seen for a 10 min interview that i was not asked to speak, for open positions that are listed in detail in my work history on my resume.
and for both occasions, contacting the recruiters post-​interview became more of a task. To find out how things are (not) progressing. Suddenly, they are not available to come to the phone, emails that were once answered instantaneously are now going unanswered.
Finally on BOTH occasions, It was me that has to reach out to the recruiter (s) to ask if i did or did not get the respective jobs (not the other way around).
Can lightning strike twice in the same spot at the same angle? for Trandon, i guess it does.
Don’t waste your time, or they will do an excellent job of doing it for you.

I recently spun my wheels with this agency and I have to say that the below reviews are spot on, even though I didn’t want to believe it when I was working with them. First off, it is correct that this place operates like a boiler room. I received a call from a secretary who insisted that I have a meeting that day with her representatives. She insisted that I come in immediately because there was such a plethora of opportunities that needed immediate fulfillment. I had to act fast.
I’m working freelance at the moment so I figure what do I have to lose? I meet with them the following day and sit down with two of the associates and everything seemed to be on par with what I expected. I then get a call a week later that there are two opportunities that I must interview for immediately. We make an appointment the following day for both meetings that ran concurrently at two different locations that were a subway trip apart. Stressful, yes, but most people have to man up if you want a good job.
The first meeting was one of the most awkward interviews I have ever been on in my entire life. The person interviewing me acted like he just found out that he had to interview someone that morning. He asked me very strange questions that required very little explanation or response, yet dug into me as if a more intricate explanation was required. There were long periods of awkward silence in between questions as he read over my resume for what seemed like the first time. Now either this person has no idea what he does for a living, he was wasting my time, or the recruiter set me up on a bogus interview. Not sure being that there is no way to know. This position was actually a step down from what my target is, but I played the game and was a good soldier to my recruiter.
The second interview took the cake. I go up to the lobby and inform the attendant of my presence and the name of the company that I had a scheduled meeting with. The attendant asked me «WHO?» after I stated the name of the company. He then asked me who I was meeting with, and I stated the name of the interviewer. He then, in a huff, was flipping pages in a bunch of books, which I assume were directories. He then said, «oh, he must be on floor XX.» I said yes that is the floor that I was told the interview would take place. He gives me a pass. I get off of the elevator and realize that I am in an executive swing space, or temporary space given to people who pay a per diem rent. They lead me to a vacant office that had no computer or materials and conducted the interview. They seemed like nice guys but something was off and I couldn’t put a finger on it.
I called up Barbara and told her about the interview. A week later she calls me and tells me that I did well with these people and that they would like me to complete a case study. These things take time if you want to complete them correctly so I pulled an overnighter which lasted till 4:30 am. Again, my time wasted for which I am not getting any pay but even though I was told to never take a test or provide free information, I did so to be good to my recruiter.
After playing phone tag for 2 weeks and getting a runaround I decided to call the number on the card that they gave me. Would you know that the phone number was disconnected. I dialed 411 to get a number on this company and no such company exists in their records. I had a professor from my program look at the case study that I completed, and he told me that he would have given me at least an A– if it were a test. Something’s fishy about this and I’ll let you, the readers, deduce what it could be. I have now been dropped like a bad habit from this firm, after all the rushing around, the hurry up attitude, and the time wasted, I got absolutely nowhere. What an absolute waste of time this was, and I am beyond furious because I could have spent that time doing per diem work for the company I work for now and gotten paid instead of wasting time doing a useless case study that didn’t even yield a half baked decision.
I was told once to never work with a recruiter and now I know why. I can get interviews on my own and don’t need someone to act as an intermediary.
My background: I am a very qualified candidate that has years of experience in my industry plus an MS from one of the best business schools in the world.

Somebody said it’s a boiler room and they hit it. Their office is a zoo. I had an «interview» with their supposed principal who had me stand by her cubicle while she shouted out «would you consider this? do you have experience with this?». I basically just stood there, leaning against the wall, no desk, no chair, no conference room. It was very humiliating. They all seem to talk fast, appear very sleazy, don’t take the time with you and their attitude is that they are all doing YOU a favor by having you there. Don’t get your hopes up if you get a call from them.

The constant shuffle of so many people looking for a job can leave sooooo many falling through the cracks, my assistant informed me of opportunities that they were sharing that literally met all of my criteria
Reluctantly I interviewed as I did see a few opportunities that looked promising, I was put in contact with several people and have yet to make any progress, doesn’t really settle well that they sent me the same «introductory tell us about you» email twice… doesn’t look very professional after all. after two months of seeing them add new opportunities that are right up my alley and following up without as much as a call back it’s probably time to move on

TRASHY, UNPROFESSIONAL, UNETHICAL. i have dealt with MANY agencies but Trandon definitely is THE WORST. Please save your time and do not go to their office. Do your research first. I wish I have read the reviews on Unilocal before wasting an hour of my time in their office. The guy I spoke with «Jason Sarney» was extremely unprofessional. I applied initially for an open position they had listed on their site and they called me in for an interview. Turns out they don’t even have this role available, it was fake advertisement to collect bunch of resumes. I have no idea why they do this but. the guy asks me «Who do you report to» I provided the names of Managers who are no longer with that company so I don’t know if he tried calling the company trying to sell his services or if he tried calling and checking my references even though he assured me that he wouldn’t. This is done only if there’s already a job offer (usually!) Anyway, the whole interview took about 15 minutes he asks me to wait for 10 more minutes in the lobby, 10 min. turns into 40 mins at which point I’m asking admin assistant who was extremely nasty (they sure know how to pick their employees) to reach out to this so called professional Senior Recruiter and he comes back to me with his card saying, «i made a few phone calls, call us next week». Don’t want to be represented by them! I should have done my research! Trandon — I hope you read all these reviews and do something about it! Hire REAL PROFESSIONALS and post real jobs rather than fake positions in hopes of just filling up your database with bunch of resumes!

If you are looking for a «bottom of the barrel,» sleazy recruitment agency, Trandon Associates is the one for you.
I was out of a job 14 years ago after a restructuring, and I recall receiving a telephone call from Barbara at Trandon Associates asking me to come in for an interview. I came in, and no sooner after having sat me down at her office, she summarily informed me that my not having been employed for 3 weeks should concern me, because I would probably not find a job unless her company helped me.
That alone was a red flag that this company is all about scare tactics, not on the up and up, and that they are nothing more than the dregs of the recruitment industry. Nonetheless, I figured I had nothing to lose.
After having me sit outside among other job seekers in the filthy reception area, she rounded up several of us, and sent us out for an interview for a finance manager position with an equally sleazy «corporate executive,» who without even looking at my resume told me that he was looking to fill the position with a woman. That, in of itself, is illegal, and it indicated to me that if the «corporate executive» was so thick at the most basic level about breaking labor laws, what else would he flagrantly not abide by after being employed at this company?
I went back to Trandon, and told Barbara about this incident, and she told me that it was my word against the «corporate executive’s» and that if I pursued this any further, she would not represent me for any other available positions. Needless to say, I never heard back from Trandon. Lesson learned.
I suggest that you look elsewhere, and not waste your time dealing with Trandon Associates, unless wasting your time is something that you personally enjoy.

Boiler room style recruiting, I felt disgusted after dealing with them. It started when I got a call from a fast talking agent who spoke to me as if I knew her. I have made connections with a handful of recruiters so I assumed it was someone I had dealt with. She gave me a brief spiel about a job that on the surface sounded like something I’d be interested in. She said she could get me an interview on Tuesday (this was Friday) and I said OK but please send me the job description. Once I received the summary I realized it was not something I was interested in so I sent an email stating such and that I would not be attending the interview. Also I had felt like a bit swindled into committing to an interview. The agent kept referring to Barbara as if she was some sort of celebrity.
So then they called several times and I did not pick up until about the 3^rd time as I wanted to end it. I told the agent that I was not interested but then she quickly said «I’m going to transfer you to Barbara, she has some questions.» Then Barbara (Anderson) gets on the phone and I tell her that I wasn’t interested. Instead of asking me any questions she started saying that I would be remiss in not at least looking at the job. I started to waiver a bit and said I would take another look. Then she started commenting that I hadn’t been working since July (it’s now March) with a bit of a condescending tone and I said «you know nothing about me or what I’ve been doing for the past 8 mo and I find that insulting.» She said she was sorry I took it that way and she didn’t mean to be insulting. We talked a little bit more but I was getting irritated. Then she made the same comment again. I hung up the phone. She obviously had no interest in me, just getting someone to the interview.
I’ve dealt with some what I call «B» level recruiters who troll the internet for resumes and jobs and normally they are just useless, not malicious. I’ve never been treated so unprofessionally and rudely in my whole working career of over 35 years. Who needs it?
My suggestions:
— Only deal with recruiters that have a conversation with you and want to get to know you before submitting a resume, preferably ones that have been recommended by others
— If an agent is pushy, pass. You’re not a piece of meat
— Stay away from Trandon Associates

I left my last job due to restructuring. When I got a call from Trandon (they saw my resume on a well known job site), I decided to follow up. In spite of the numerous unfavorable reviews on Unilocal,I figured, hey, I’m not working, what can it hurt to meet and get my info in front of them?
The woman who called me was not the person who interviewed me. They appear to have people trolling websites for resumes and setting up interviews. My meeting with «senior financial recruiter» (as it said on his card), Jason Sarney, seemed positive and he appeared to have some knowledge about the companies I previously worked for. After my intake interview he informed me they had nothing for me to interview for at the moment. Jason added, because my resume was strong, due to my experience, it shouldn’t be too hard to find some appropriate interviews for me and he would be sharing my resume with his Trandon colleagues who may have other leads. «Please follow up next week if you don’t hear from me in the next day or two.»
I didn’t hear from him so I followed up with a call. Got his voice mail. No reply. A couple of days later, another call and another voice mail left. No reply. Every few days, the same pattern. No one ever called me, sent a note, responded to my messages. It’s been weeks.
I understand that there may not always be an appropriate position in their database for someone, but they simply don’t have the common courtesy or professionalism to respond and say, «Hey, sorry we don’t have anything for you right now.»
How do they keep the lights on in this place? Do they ever place anyone, let alone send them on interviews?
Don’t waste your time sitting in Trandon’s reception area filling out the info card and waiting for your intake interview. You can be more productive during that hour networking, or looking up listings on
, Monster, CareerBuilder or even Craigslist.

This is staffing firm is like all the rest. A complete waste of your time. If you really want to find a job stay away from this and all other agencies. Trandon you are bogus and you have no jobs.

Very unprofessional company.
They wasted my time… made me come to their office… fill a bunch of personal information. I called, emailed… and they never got back to me either via phone, or email… I must say I read all the other reviews and everyone was spot on… I had the same negative experience with these bunch of amatures…
Do not waste your time… worthless.

Stay away from them Any position ever. I made the error of giving them the benefit of the doubt and said «whats the wrost than can happen?»
Theres a difference in ATTEMPTING to get a job ‚… over pretending to haev a job lined up.
They seriously have NO LEADS.

One situation in which reviews are entirely accurate. I was called twice and emailed by Trandon, and after reading the reviews I politely declined interest by responding to the email and thanking the woman for considering me.
The first woman was polite after I said that I wasn’t looking to join any more agencies right now. The next day, I got two more calls and another email from another woman, stacie. Again, I politely declined and thanked her for considering me. She wrote back «makes no sense but ok». Excuse me??? HIGHLY unprofessional. I wrote back that I was shocked that a professional agency would send such a ridiculous response and that obviously the poor reviews were there for a reason. She proceeded to respond with «so you believe everything you read online??? Obviously if you were doing such a good job you would have a new job by now etc etc»
Livid at this point but almost laughing at the absurdity, I called the office, demanded to speak to a supervisor, and told her that after speaking with a dozen recruiters in my lifetime that I had never encountered a «professional» like this. I was told to forward the email chain to the company head, but never got a reply.
Stay far far far far away from this total joke of a company!!! They are so unprofessional you almost cannot believe it until you interact with them yourself…

Do not waste your time. These people will call you /​e-​mail everyday, if not twice a day and blatantly lie to you. They tell you they have a perfect position for you, etc. etc… just to get you to come in their office. When you go to their office they have you fill out a bunch of paper work, promise you they will reach out to you the next day and never do. I e-​mailed them back everyday for about a week and got no reply.
This company blows. they just want to fill their databases with as much resumes as possible. Don’t waste your time. I left work early to visit these people, they should pay me for the 2 hours i missed out on!
