Please do yourself a favor. Don’t waste time and money on her. She has no idea what she says. She doesn’t know tarot card reading.

This is my second reading with Liat since my first in June. The first was dead-​on about what was going on at the present and what had recently transpired in the recent past. She completely nailed the people I was curious about – literally every aspect. It was uncanny.
The second one, which occurred last week, was no different. It was completely accurate and gave me great comfort to hear confirmation of what my gut was telling me and what my experience was.
What’s wonderful is also Liat herself. She has such a nurturing and encouraging way about her that you feel like you’re with family, like a sister or close cousin, and it allows you to be your most honest self during the reading.
I HIGHLY recommend Liat to anyone is honest, open and truly ready to look into the mirror.

I wanted a tarot reading and booked with Liat, based, at that time, on positive Unilocal reviews — my reading was about a year ago. I waited so long to write a review because I wanted to give the reading the benefit of the doubt and see if I would feel differently after some time passed and saw if she had any points. Not really. As some of the other reviewers stated, I just felt really ripped off. I guess she has quite a racket going, I think my session was $ 135 or something for an hour, meet at a café, so no overhead. Her initial reading was super general. I understand that she is not a psychic but a tarot card reader, but I didn’t get the impression that she had a great grasp for how the cards interact with each other from the initial reading (she seemed better when answering specific questions later on, but I’m can’t say that I know she was correct about anything). Also I didn’t find her to be intuitive at all, and at times I found her advice to me to be patronizing. So, yea, not recommended.

While it’s been almost 3 years since I met Liat for a tarot reading and I barely ever admitted that to any of my friends, I still have bitter ripped off feeling about the whole experience. Like many people here, I felt that Liat had no idea what she was talking about. I did not give her any information about myself (and why should I if she is indeed a psychic) so she was going in aimless rounds and rounds sounding like a helpline person. Paying $ 80 for a fake 15 minutes at a coffee shop reading is way too high. But again it makes sense how she can afford living in Tribeca. I hope people would read these reviews and not make the same mistake I did.

Felt the need to write this review because I also rely on other Unilocal users for guidance. She’s certainly a very nice lady, which helps you feel at ease, I’m sure she wouldn’t be in business if she wasn’t pleasant. However, she didn’t know any major details about my life, which was a red flag. She indicated the cards pick up my energy so that’s why. Her cold reading was more of a generic template, that I started something I didn’t finish, I’m having problems with family members (or friends that are close) — seriously who doesn’t? Etc. I asked a few questions and she have me more of a therapy session, felt like I was talking to a psychologist … I went in for a reading about my future not for advice on how to handle my situation. Another thing, she goes in circles about the same things over and over and you have I stop her to tell you something you already do NOT know. Don’t waste your money and I think it’s unethical to ask for a review in exchange for a discount on your next reading.

I’ve always been curious about Tarot card readings and especially at this time of life, there were a lot of crossroads and unknowns so I wanted to get one. Of course with most of the things I look up, I turned to Unilocal to find a reader and found Liat’s Tribeca Tarot Reader business. At first I was worried because of the bad reviews, but became optimistic when I read the good reviews. I also checked out her blog site before scheduling an appointment with her. I knew I chose the right person when I saw that she has been reading Tarot cards for over 20 years.
I emailed her to set up a half hour reading ($ 70) and later that week, I met Liat at a café in Tribeca after I got out of work. My first impression of Liat was that she was friendly and personable which made it easy to ask her questions. When she started reading my cards, I was surprised because she touched upon various aspects of my life from work to love life to family to relationship with friends and she was hitting the nail on the head with everything. I left the meeting with Liat feeling optimistic about the future ahead of me. The half hour went by very quickly, which made me regret not getting the hour long reading.

Firstly, know that she is a qualified psychotherapist of some kind. I felt that she was angling me into more of a shrink session than a reading. Cost? $ 100 cash only for 60 mins.
I have a secret crush and asked if anything would come of it… yes or no was what I was looking for … instead she went off into this big lecture about her other clients/​women (that means YOU!!) who have pathetic imaginary relationships…
She spent a good deal of my reading either talking about herself or trying to suck me into a shrink session. She is a psychotherapist by training, specialized in the drug addicted, has a family, loves to Skype, changes career every 7 years, explained to me how she negotiated her new career with her husband… and lots more. How do I know all this? because that is how my reading time was spent.
I got very little out of this reading and left with a bad taste in my mouth and a negative feeling. She gave me the impression that she has memorized the meanings of the cards but is not psychic.
she reads for you in a large public café and she is quite callous to any reservations you may have about having your reading done where everyone can listen in. And it is very obvious to anyone that you are having a reading as the tarot cards are all over your table. It is uncomfortable for you as a client and she is purposely oblivious (and probably doesnt care).
She emails you a follow up to your reading — but if you read her blog, you’ll see she just cuts and pastes parts of her blog into your «followup».
I recommend you try some other psychic for a reading.

I went back again to Liat last November and was once again completely satisfied with the reading. Liat pinpointed the exact time of a career change and love life predictions, the latter of which I was highly doubtful/​disagreed with. However, cards were right, I was wrong. So far the reading has been dead on, which is both creepy and exciting to me. I recommend her to all my friends, which is saying a lot coming from me, as I usually dissuade those I care about from partaking in my «gypsy» things. ;)

Met Liat last spring at a café in Tribeca. I was not comfortable as the entire place was empty, but a man sat at the table right next to ours and was by himself –hence listening to the entire conversation. She did not convey a feeling of knowing or even of understanding (about why I might not enjoy a total stranger less than one foot from my face hearing my deepest dreams).
I found Liat to be a smart person, but that dosen’t necessarily mean a talented one. Most of the «advice» she gave me was generic and could have worked on 90% of women in my position– it was a bunch of common sense and in my opinion not predictive or insightful specifically to my situation.
I would not go back.

She is a very warm, friendly and caring, but I felt she didn’t provide me with any insight. I felt like it was more a therapy session with her mostly asking questions about my personal life and trying to give me advice based on what i shared. I tried not to share too much hoping for more of a cold reading, but she kept asking questions. I’m not saying she was bad-​maybe tarot is not for me. I’m more into astrology and this is my first paid tarot experience so it’s difficult to compare.
I can see why others would give her five stars. She really is such a warm caring person and i think she truly believes in her work. Maybe they had better experiences. Maybe I expected too much insight into my future that cannot be answered in tarot!

I recently had a reading with Liat and it was a very affirming and invigorating experience. Having never had any psychic consultation of any kind I was one part skeptic and mostly curious for a new experience. I was, of course, hopeful in some measure that it would provide an interesting reflection of my current path in life. I could not have been more pleased.
Liat helped lift a veil over a mirror so that I could more clearly see my own reflection. I was really shocked at the level of accuracy in every card in the initial cold reading and the consequential readings. I felt as though I was with a genuine and insightful guide that laid out my situation clearly and compassionately for me to think about and act upon.
I am still a novice at all things psychic and tarot, but I can say my first experience has made me far less skeptical and immensely validated. I am certain that there are energies that we project and a very talented soul like Liat can help us see more clearly for ourselves. She was so easy to connect with and convey messages about parts of my life that I’ve never told anyone before. I was very very pleased and look forward to the next time.

My experience with Liat was wonderful.
We met a few weeks ago in a Le Pain Quotidien where she read my cards over a cup of tea.
First of all, her «cold reading» was spot on. No vague generalizations here, but details about the current situation in my life that were frighteningly accurate (not in a bad way)
After the cold reading, we expounded upon events that turned up in the cold reading as well as other questions she offered to answer in the cards.
The best part of her reading is that she gives you spiritual direction based on what the cards reveal in the future. She took a snapshot of my life and helped me sort things out from business to relationships, friends, family and work.
Another nice touch is that she emailed me a synopsis of her reading and advice — which is especially nice because most people (including myself) forget these things.
I am planning my return 3 months from now, I couldn’t believe how accurate her reading was!

If you are looking for a tarot card reader to tell you what you want to hear, then Liat is not your fantasy-​maker. Warm, kind and armed with a laser-​like perception, my reading uncovered what only I knew. Over a cup of tea, I felt like I was hearing from a trusted friend as she shared what the cards indicated… past, present and future. Liat also emphasized our free will; which is reassuring as she does not want you to become dependent on her… but to make informed choices in your life while moving forward. Yes, I will see Liat again.
Oh, and a few days later, Liat emailed a review of your reading and the cards which were discussed.

Liat is amazing. My reading with her was thorough and scarily accurate. I think a lot of people go to her when they’re facing some issues in their lives, and Liat has a way of telling you what you need to hear (not what you want to hear) in the most supportive, non judgmental and kind way. She followed up with her recap email, which I really appreciated, and I plan on going back to her some time next year.

I am fortunate to have been able to come to Liat when I did. I had never had a reading done before, but I found myself in a place where I needed objective guidance. Liat offered exactly that in a way that was kind and professional.
While the cards are undoubtedly important to a tarot reading, it is more Liat’s practical application of their abstract concepts that makes her readings so worthwhile. She combines tarot concepts with a certain amount of wisdom and common sense.
As with reviews below, I would recommend having some yes/​no questions prepared to ask the cards… and to ask Liat. I had a bit of trouble putting my thoughts into words, so I would recommend taking a bit of time to prepare that beforehand as well.
As for the cost, I promise you it is worth every penny. If you’re looking for objective guidance you’ll be glad you spent it.

I loved Liat. I didn’t really know what to expect, as it was my first tarot reading. I just knew I was anxious and excited! She takes the time to explain the process, focus on the cards I wanted to talk about, and afterward when I needed more clarity she took the time to email me and explain further. I’ve already made my second appointment! Her price is more than reasonable for the amazing quality provided.

Updated after my 2^nd visit: Liat’s amazing. I can’t resist going back to her! In my opinion, the tarot cards give her the insight into your current situation, you decided what you want to delve into further discussions about, and she is a sort of therapist/​life coach in the situation. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time with her and I’ll be going back! YOU SHOULD MAKE AN APPOINTMENT TODAY! She books up quickly — but deserves all the business boom that comes her way. She’s very talented, kind, a careful listener, and has great advice.

I had an excellent reading with Liat back in December. She helped me to understand some difficult things that were going on in my life, and was able to give me some great recommendations about how to move forward. The cards were absolutely spot on… and I was going into this with a bit of healthy skepticism! She is warm and easy to talk to… I highly recommend having some yes/​no questions prepared beforehand so that you can make the best use of your time… the hour flies by!
2 months later, and her predictions are ringing true. Following her advice has brought me nothing but relief and comfort, and I look forward to a second reading with her to see whether some of the better cards I pulled are right side up this time!

I don’t know how to explain how cathartic this visit to Liat was. I have been to lots of tarot readers, palm readers, psychics, etc and I have felt like some were good, some were a joke, but I have never felt the way I did after leaving my reading with Liat.
Her cold reading was spot on almost creepily so. I did not give her any indication about myself, I didn’t nod my head, I just sat and stared and listened and she just talked and then when she was done, I had no choice but to tell her that she nailed every. single. point.
She was incredibly honest, warm and I felt so comfortable being there with her. I feel like her background as a therapist only serves her well. The conversation with her felt so genuine and easy and I have not stopped talking about her and have recommended her to every single friend I have spoken to.
I cannot recommend her enough. She has a fantastic intuition that really dives in to you and aids in helping you paint the clearest picture of your life where it is right now and how to make the choices you need to get where you want to be.
I am already looking forward to my next appointment with her. You will not be disappointed.
Also, as far as prices goes, she is totally reasonable. You get a full hour with her and it is FULL. You get every penny of what you paid for.

I turned to Unilocal to find a tarot reader in NYC, and it was because of the great number of positive reviews that I decided to make an appointment with Liat.
I found her to be very personable and friendly, but in a genuine way. My energy was different, due to events of that morning, so questions I’d prepared were left behind, and perhaps that’s why Liat didn’t start with a cold reading with me; we launched right into it.
Many of the cards I pulled were not surprising to me; I studied tarot cards just a little bit in the past, so I was somewhat familiar with the general meanings. But Liat gave me very interesting perspective on a couple situations in my life right now, and the accuracy was quite astounding at times.
Later, when I returned home, I accessed Liat’s blog, where I read through her archived notes on the suits of the tarot. I took many notes to compare to my reading, to provide even better clarity.
And best of all, today Liat sent a follow-​up email with a summary of the reading and reminders of things to focus on.
Although I wasn’t personally floored by what seems to be my life’s center right now (work, work and more work — was hoping for more in the romance department), Liat’s reading was definitely helpful. I will see her again in the future, for sure, but I wish she would consider extended readings. One hour is much too short to get through all aspects of one’s life!

When I need a little insight into what is going on in my life I like to connect with people who have a little more insight than most. I found Liat on Unilocal & decided to get a reading.
She’s immediately warm and disarming; she’s got a lot of common sense wisdom as well as knowledge of the cards.
First she did a cold reading, where she didn’t know anything about me. Her reading was accurate from the get-​go — she saw my recent past in my luv life and in my professional life. Then I shared with her how her reading aligned with my life.
From there she gave me great advice & insight into what the cards meant for my future. It really helped me feel confident about a big decision that before I was uncertain about.
Finally she did a reading with another set of cards to «confirm» what the first reading said. Two of the cards were exactly the same, and several of the other cards had very similar meanings. The rest offered new dimensions to the first reading.
She followed up by emailing info about all the cards so I could easily revisit the reading.
The reading and my visit with her helped clarify a lot of things during a confusing time. Highly recommended!
