Specialties
At West End Coaching, we equip students with the tools they need to compete efficiently and effectively in current academic climates. Our coaches elucidate difficult material, teach strategy, and instill in their students the sense of confidence and control necessary for long-term, self-reliant success. A small, hands-on company, we believe in a personalized, organic approach to teaching. Unlike many tutoring companies, we take great care to ensure that our coaches are not overstretched. To guarantee optimal levels of attention and personalization, coaches are assigned to a very limited number of students, and can really focus on getting to know each client. Though they draw on their West End training as well as tips and tricks acquired over their years as educators, tutors approach their work intuitively and treat each student as an individual. Our instructors know how to identify and address many common pitfalls and learning types, but they’ll never constrain a student or rely solely
History
Established in 2014.
We’re a small team started in 2014 by graduates of Columbia University graduates. We believe in building long-lasting student-coach relationships, which is why we’re serious about matching our students with the best talent we can find.
Our wide range of academic and career experiences means we can match your student with exactly the sort of help they need. Have a Columbia physics Ph.D. student prepare you for the Physics SAT. Talk to an Ivy League admissions officer about how to build a stellar college application. Learn how to make your essays stand out from Head Writing Fellow. Phi Beta Kappa, University and Departmental Honors, Dean’s Fellowships – whatever top academic decorations you can get, our coaches have earned.
No matter where your child is on the academic ladder, there’s no better time than now to get them the help they need to get ahead.
