Since 1895, Root’s Nurseries, Inc. has been serving the horticultural needs of South Central Pennsylvania.

You are invited to visit our Retail Plant Center where our knowledgeable staff will assist you in selecting the perfect trees, shrubs, annuals and perennials to enhance your outdoor living area.

With over 100 acres in production, Root’s Nurseries is one of the few growers in the area that offers field selection to the public.

Root’s also specializes in landscaping of residential and commercial properties.

History

Established in 1895.

The 4^th generation, brothers David Root and Dwight Root are currently operating the business which began in 1895. Started by Jacob W Root and his brother Abram, Root’s Nurseries originally specialized in fruit trees, supplying local farmers and home owners. Shortly after the business started, Abram branched into his own business venture, which is now known as Root’s Country Market and Auction.
