Dr. Konys uses the phrase «Bright Smiles… Bright Lives» in his practice because Orthodontic treatment creates more than just a healthy smile. Most patients also demonstrate improved self esteem and confidence after completing our treatment. They certainly smile more and their future lives are brighter!

Dr. Konys is a native of Syracuse and a graduate of Jamesville-​DeWitt High School. While attending Union College, Schenectady, NY he was a dual major in Biology and Art. This pursuit enabled him enjoyment of the sciences, while developing his natural artistic talents. Upon receiving his bachelor of arts degree, Union College awarded him the William B. Jaffe award for his outstanding achievement in art.

It was his artistic talent that eventually lead him into the dental specialty of orthodontics. This field is an expression of art and science and is a perfect fit of creative and academic talents.
