Americas Best Value Inn & Suites-Manor/Austin East

We had the unfortunate displeasure of staying at this place last night. We arrived for SXSW so I expected the price to be inflated. Triple the price for this place was ridiculous. Upon arrival the place looked clean so I went with it. All downhill from there. The key cards didn’t work for our room as well as for many others. We were let in and told someone will come reprogram the key card. Came back to the room late and the key still did not work. Again, had to wait in the lobby for someone to come. Waited so long I fell asleep in the lobby. Finally in the room. We found used fake eyelashes on the sink, a nasty used cup stacked in with a new cup. Multiple slash marks and white residue on the ice bucket tray. The room shouted Prostitues and Drugs. We told the night clerk who was very nice and said she would report that to the General Manager. Next morning at check out we attempted to talk to the Super defensive manager. We got alot of excuses for not being able to move us to another room because they were at capacity. (Lies) Electric locks not working because of a lightning strike… with no storm in site. He also told us he had a firm talk with the houskeeper and offered for us to receive 30% off on our next stay. Thanks for nothing! We will most definitely never return to this place.

If you’re hoping for customer service, cross your fingers that Junita? Isn’t working there. She’s been with the company for 13 years and she knows everything. And if she doesn’t like what you say on the phone and if she does give you the chance to talk she’ll just hang the phone up on you anyway. No wonder they had rooms available. No one wants to stay there!

This is out first time ever staying in an ABVI and it’ll be the last! We are paying 152.00 for two nights and this place is filthy, the ice makers don’t work, the carpets are all stained, the bed was half made and best of all — the woman on duty told us we couldn’t use the pool! She told us it was too cold. EXCUSE me — i’m the parent and i decide whether its too cold or not!!! Don’t tell me its too cold for my kids!!! We also couldn’t listen to our music (on our iphone!) outside and the woman came out at ten till ten and told us we couldn’t swim anymore. I will NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN. Stay away.
